Sorry it's been 2 years since I've updated my review, I've been here many times since as its one of my favorite places to dine. This time we were tempted by the special Channukah menu. I must say, though I'm still giving it 5 stars, in the future I'll stick with the regular menu. We started with the turkey soup which we agreed was super delicious, things from there went down hill but then, thankfully uphill. We then tried the trio of latkes: butternut squash, potato, and zucchini- meh. Then the brisket latke tacos which were quite tasty but greasy and messy and I'd rather just eat a deconstructed version of those. The sufganyot, well, what could be bad! We ate in an enclosed tent which we'd have been leary of but we were the only ones in there (went for a very early lunch). We had a heater at each side of the table and were quite comfortable. As usual, our server was very good. Please continue to supporting our kosher restaurants through these tough times and always.

One of a kind. You won't find a place like this anywhere else. All kosher meals. Clean fresh elegant food. Displayed real well. Host and waitress are very friendly and respectful. Very pricey but expected for the quality of food. Generous servings. A lot of parking available and wheelchairs accessable. Interior is designed very fancy and elegant.

I arrived to meet some new friends for valentines day. The ambiance was so lovely, dim lights and the seating was very appropriate with the covid guidelines. Also this is a kosher restaurant which was super cool. We immediately were seated and asked for our drink orders. I ordered the lemon drop super delicious. Our waiter was also very patient with us because we were in such deep conversation and he allowed us to talk and was patient when we took a little longer to decide on our orders. We all ordered steaks, some came with asparagus, shallots, and mashed potatoes. A man came around and gave each of us a rose!!!! That was the sweetest gesture because we were 3 ladies out on valentines day with no male dates lol. Now to the steaks, They were BIG 10oz & very dense lol. I had mine cooked medium and it came with asparagus & shallots. We all enjoyed our meals. We got our checks and it comes in one so we just split it 3 ways to make it easier for the waiter. Overall the meal was delicious, drinks were great, and the ambiance is nice. I recommend this restaurant for a nice date night or even a business dinner.

Food is delicious but highway Robbery! I ordered one appetizer to go and picked up a dry chicken skewer appetizer with a few sauces on the side and paid $26. I know kosher food is expensive, but I think it's pushing it. On the plus side, they do offer kosher sushi which was delicious, but, again, prices were outrageous.

Love this place. Fantastic kosher food in an elegant atmosphere. Perfect place for anything from a work lunch to your wedding reception. 10/10! :-)

The cocktails i saw being served had great presentation.

Our sever was very nice. However, the food was terrible. Our food was overcooked, dry and salty. If I didn't have a glass of water, I might have choked on the hockey puck of food they served. The place is Kosher, I get that the choices may be a tad limited if that's what you are looking for; but for the price range (appetizers averaged $20+, entrees averaged $50s++, with a burger at $25). Server was nice, but did not ask why we only took a couple of bites of our entree and did not want the rest to go, he seemed uncomfortable and didn't want to deal with it. By the way, they automatically add 20% tip. It was only two of us.. Overall, pick another place, not recommended at all for food.

This is how my $70 meal looks like. Tell me if this is even fair. The worst place ever.

The food is tasteless. I asked for bistro burger and I got the steak ... a very tasteless dry steak. I spent $70 for this meal. Such a waste!

Shallots: quick service with a lovely ambiance. It is a bit expensive, but the food is quite good. The chicken dish I had was well cooked and nicely plated though it did not blow me away for the price.

With that, After countless…read morevisits to Stefani Prime, you would think that I would have at least one thing negative to say, but I do not. From the hosts or hostesses, every individual bartender or server, all the way to table visits from a manager or even a Chef, you are made to feel like the most important guests in the restaurant. Punctuated by an AMAZING meal, each visit was individually unique and beyond enjoyable. The daily specials offer a soup that never disappoints no matter what the selection. Even In the heat of Summer, the lure of these soups set a standard that anything on the menu will satisfy. The choices are many, and what seem to be a labor of love from the Chef. With subtle background music and a comfortably lit dining area, it shows that you are wanted to feel welcomed and relaxed. I fail to leave my menu preferences on this review because there are too many and, every choice I make is it difficult one. I of course have my favorites, but can assure any diner that you'll never regret any choice you make on that menu. Stopping in there for a drink is always an option as well. The veteran bar staff gives you consistency in quality preparation of GOOD cocktails ranging from the standards to custom creations. Most recently I was introduced to a seasonal drink referred to as "walk in the park". Its everything you want in a drink, and for me it's set the table perfectly for the steak dinner that followed. We were so happy to have somewhere in the neighborhood offering you a top shelf evening of cocktails and a meal, which has been the consistent soul of Stefani Prime since it opened. Bon appetit....... And thank you to the Stefani restaurant group for continuing the tradition of attaching your heart to a restaurant and not just your name.

First impression walking in was NOT great. We immediately smelled what can only be described as a VERY DIRTY bathroom smell. Other than the smell which we couldn't stop smelling until we ate and had some wine. The server was great to let us know that it was half off bottles of wine. And since the glass we initially wanted they didn't have this was a great option for us. We weren't able to finish the bottle so the server closed it up and sealed it in a bag for us to take with us. (Tuscan blend which was delicious) We ordered the Lobster Bisque to share to start with. The server/kitchen were kind enough to split it for us into two bowls. Overall the soup was good but NOT great. Then we ordered a bone in Ribeye (22oz) which came with crispy new potatoes and some some sautéed brocollini. We ordered the steak Medium Rare, it came out Medium + and since we were never checked in with on the temperature we ate it anyhow. The flavor was good but definitely far overcooked. The crispy new potatoes were perfectly crispy and the broccolini was sautéed and cooked very well. At the end of the day the service saved our experience. BUT because of the smell and the mis-cooked steak we would not return.

We arrived a little after 5:30 pm to avoid the rush. Rush ? What rush ? It's a Thursday night in a Windy City ( Chicago ) Suburb and it's 15 degrees outside. There is no rush. As we entered the restaurant we noticed that the place was relatively empty , yet , we were asked to wait as the staff checked to see if a table was available. After about a 5 minute wait it was determined that a table / booth was available. We opted for the booth. Yeah , like I said, the place was relatively empty. We sat down at our booth as the restaurant slowly began to fill up with customers. Menus were presented and after a quick perusal we ordered dinner. My friend ordered a glass of wine to accompany his Rib-Eye steak. I ordered the petite Filet Mignon. Yes Virginia , I'm watching my weight. Our waiter , I believe his name was Grant , provided us with excellent service and was very attentive to our every request. The restaurant is considered an upscale restaurant and the prices reflect that status. The lighting was dim , the decor chic , suitable for a date night or special occasion. It is large in scale with side rooms for parties and special events. A giant Bar is located in a side room that can accommodate a robust gathering. My friend enjoyed his meal and I found my Filet savory and tasty. The clam chowder that preceded the steak was excellent. We both enjoyed our dinner. The Capital Grille is a lovely place to dine as the food , service , and ambiance are on point. Yes ! I do recommend this restaurant for a night out , date night , or special occasion. I was vacillating between a 4 or 5 star award. Due to the excellent service I gave them a 5 Star Review. I will be back.
