This place is a Pueblo landmark, and for good reason! It's an old-time Irish style pub with a huge beer list and great food. The fish and chips are so good that it was hard to try anything else, but I finally did. I found that the corned beef dishes are delish too, and even the soups are remarkable. I have a love hate relationship with this place. Every 3rd or 4th time Im there it seems to be in a breakdown with management or the kitchen. Tonight was a classic, we order, then the two groups on either side that sat and ordered after us get their food. When I point this out to the manager He gets defensive, makes excuses, and turns it back us and then tells us that he would normally discount our meal but because we questioned his excuse he wasn't going to do that! I've been coming here for a couple years, and I can honestly say from experience the only waitresses/bartenders who truly deserve high praise and a fat tip every time at this establishment are Katie, Dakota, Mikaela, and Elmo. They are kind, genuine, and always quick on their feet. Everyone else is rude and needs a serious attitude readjustment (excluding the sweet hostess, whose name I cannot remember at the moment). In town for some Business and found this local gem. Had the red ale and it was just what the Dr ordered after a long today of travel. The menu was full of traditional Irish fare so it was hard to decide. Meaghan (my serve) said her fave was the Meatloaf so I tried that. Great choice!!!! Went great with the Red Ale and was cooked perfectly. Their house made BBQ sauce topped it and it was a great compliment. The Mashed Taters and sautéed veggies were on point. We had never been here but we wanted to check it out cause of the portabella tacos on the menu. As soon as we walked in, we were stared at like we had no business there. The waitress took us to our table and just walked away. My husband said he had a bad vibe about the place as soon as we walked in. Another waitress came to take our drink order and we went ahead and ordered. She said she would be right back with our drinks. We waited and waited and waited. No water and no drinks, she did bring everyone's drink to the table behind us and those people came in way after us. And didn't even acknowledge us or at least say she would be back with our drinks. At $14 plus tax and tip, it's almost $20 getting out of here for a smaller-sized plate of corned beef, mashed potatoes, and a few green beans. That price point is a bit too steep for me to come back; however, it was a good experience and our server was awesome. read more

There pot roast, mashed potatoes and veggies are amazing. Apparently the fish was lackluster but the burger was cooked to perfection and the coleslaw has a kick to it. Can't go wrong with their beers either. read more

I have eaten here multiple times and always liked it, but it flunked the final exam on this trip. I had the salmon salad, and it was excellent. Do not remember what my wife had, but she liked it. Then we made the mistake of ordering the bread pudding for dessert. Server came back at least 4 times to say "it will be right out." The last time she said "it's in the warming oven" and will be right out -- confirming that it would be within 2 minutes. After another five minutes, we left, marking up the ticket to (I hope) delete the dessert and to leave a "very unhappy" note at the top. I do not know whether the problem was the server or the kitchen, but it will make me more reluctant to go there -- even though it is very convenient to the hotel where I often stay. read more

This is the best place in Pueblo. The fish tacos are fantastic (they only have them Friday's). The Reuben is big, quality meat and bread- fantastic. We've had the meat loaf (good!), corn beef (very very very good!). My one complaint: sometimes the specials aren't so 'special.' I had the Steak Staurday $23.99 for 8oz of Steak and prob 10 oz French fries - very high for what was there. The beer is really good! They have a good selection of guest and rotating house brews. I usually love The Shamrock...so this is hard for me to write. The food is great and consistent. The one big problem is on Tuesday night's Two for Tuesday burger night. Apparently their ventilation system in the kitchen or grill cannot keep up with the fat and smoke spewing into the air. The restaurant, especially the bar area, fills with smoke and fat. I went here the other night with my boyfriend for my birthday dinner. We really enjoyed ourselves. He got the fish & chips 3 pc, the size of the fish was pretty decent and he probably would've been fine ordering only 2 pcs. Some restaurants have small fish portions, hence why he ordered 3. So it was really nice to see how large the portion sizes were!! He got to take the remaining fish home and enjoy it later that night. I on the other hand got the Angus burger if I remember correctly. It was the. best. burger. I've. had. in. so. long. It was cooked to perfection, medium rare how I love it, and the burger patty was still juicy and full of flavor. I polished that off in less than 5 minutes. It was so damn good. Also, my boyfriend got the Green Chile beer and he really liked it.
