Cinnamon Roll - YES, that is frosting on top!
Michael M.

We had a very good breakfast here, then went back for lunch a few days later which was equally good. For breakfast, I had a jalapeno popper bagel, which was basically an asiago bagel with dill cream cheese and jalapenos - nice. I'm not sure where they get their bagels from, but they taste very fresh for not having been made in house (at least I don't think they were). Amy had a cinnamon roll - which was the big surprise of the meal! In the pastry case, the cinnamon rolls looked kind of plain, with no icing on them. However, we spotted one being brought out and it had a huge scoop of... was it whipped cream? ice cream? No! It was a huge scoop of frosting! Check out the picture, just unbelievable! The roll itself was a good one, but the over-the-top frosting just put it in a different league. Lunch a few days later didn't have that big of a surprise, but it was very good. I had a Ruben panini and Amy had a chicken salad sandwich. We'd have both again. Each came with a really good ramen slaw and bagel chips. The drinks are noteworthy too. Amy had a really good mocha and I had one of their pretty large selection of loose leaf teas. Since I don't drink coffee regularly, I really appreciate that the tea choices were so abundant - and they brew it well also. Overall a really good breakfast and lunch place. Glad we found it!

This place knows what they're doing and it's great. The coffee I got was excellent and the breakfast sandwich was hot and fresh.

Coffee not strong enough, too busy, not enough staff. Mold on the ceilings, too hot and stuffy.

We had the Chorizo burrito and the eggs Benedict. The Chorizo was very good! It had good flavor and a little backend heat. The eggs Benedict was also excellent with a large amount of hollandaise sauce and a very nice piece for Canadian bacon. Enjoyed their Latte however at $5.50 each we thought that was rather high.

Since it was my friend's birthday, they surprised us with a large plate of freshly made beignets, served piping hot right out of the fryer. They were drizzled with both white and dark chocolate sauce and served with a side of whipped cream. Delicious! For our meals, we both ordered the Avocado Toast. He got the standard version, which comes with two eggs. I chose the same dish with smoked salmon added. The food arrived quickly. Both dishes were very good, but with a few small tweaks, they could have been outstanding. We ordered our eggs over easy, but they were cooked a little longer than that, so there wasn't much runny yolk. The avocado was nicely mashed while still retaining some chunks, which I really enjoyed. The smoked salmon was fresh and generously portioned. The toast was also topped with diced onions and tomatoes. There were quite a few onions, more than I would have preferred. I removed a good portion of them, and there were still plenty left. Service: We received excellent service throughout our visit. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and given a choice between a table and a booth. We chose a comfortable booth, and our server, Shawna, did a wonderful job getting us settled in with water and drinks. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of. Thanks, Shawna! Atmosphere: The restaurant has a fresh, modern look. It's spacious and thoughtfully designed. Even though there were plenty of other diners, it never felt crowded, and the noise level made conversation easy. Large windows let in lots of natural light, making the space bright and inviting. A very good breakfast, and with just a few small tweaks, it could easily have been an excellent one.

The building is essentially stand alone, with an attached "Take 5" oil change business (I'd want to grab a coffee while waiting for an oil change). In the front, there are a few outside café tables. Inside is large, with plenty of tables and seating for different size groups. There are design and decoration elements that are religious in nature, but I don't find them overpowering. The place was mostly empty when I arrived. There were a few cars using the drive thru. Got a nice greeting from the cashier. Placed my order for a London Fog Tea Latte (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam), and got it in a mug. I would have ordered a scone, but all they had in the case were muffins. Since I couldn't get a scone, I found the most decadent muffin, which was a Caramel Apple Pecan. It took a few minutes to make the London Fog (which is a good sign that they are giving it a good steep). They also left the bag in the mug, which I prefer. The beverage was excellent, the right temperature, good flavor, and the texture was right. The muffin was also very good. It was a very good experience and would make me come back again. Maybe next time they'll offer a scone or two.

They note that they feature fresh local organic goods, though the cold cuts displayed were Boars Head. I ordered a grilled cheese artichoke havarti sandwich, and it was tasty and not too heavy. Food: Normally, I would get a London Fog Latte and a scone. They have both items, but because of their focus on healthy, organic, and local ingredients, I had to adjust my order and expectations. The London Fog Latte was made with oat milk and honey as the sweetener. The scones (and the rest of the bakery) are gluten-free. Both of these were different from what I would normally have, but they were very good. The London Fog was really well made. For oat milk, it had some very nice froth. The flavor and the temperature were good. The Pecan Maple Scone was also good. Like many gluten-free baked goods, it was more dense. They warmed it for me, and it was a delicious treat and a nice companion to the latte. Service: We received excellent service from the person helping us. We were the first ones there when they opened at 9:00. She was very helpful in explaining the café offerings and was clearly passionate about the mission. The London Fog is not on the regular menu, but they knew what it was and were happy to make it. They ensured we got everything we asked for: lattes in mugs, bakery items warmed, and food brought out to the table. Relaxed, helpful, and friendly service. Thanks, Elizabeth. Atmosphere: The place is bright and cheerful. The bee theme is present throughout the entire café, from the wall coverings to the small plates for beverages. Lots of nice light comes in through the front windows. There is plenty of seating for different-sized groups, with a choice of metal or upholstered chairs, or a couch for different levels of comfort and conversation. The entire visit had a nice vibe. I'm not quite ready to give up my flour and sugar, but I would have no trouble stopping in again.

We tried their Los Altos eggs Benedict and their farmer's skillet. The chorizo in the Los Altos Benedict is very spicy and I am a chorizo connoisseur. It has too much heat for your average person. The poached eggs were over done and the potatoes had too much pepper, that's all we tasted. The farmers skillet was good but nothing to get excited about. Their juice glasses are large! The service was good and she was very pleasant. However, our server never checked if we wanted more water even when our glass was empty. One more comment, they don't offer iced coffee!
