This diner is delicious and nice to the wallet! The staff were all incredibly friendly. We visited with a big group, and all our orders were served quickly and around the same time. It definitely satisfied our brunch cravings. It was the perfect meal before our road trip back home to Chicago!

I was on my way out of town and I really like stopping at a new place for breakfast to start my journey and this was the place. The menu isn't huge but it had gyros and eggs which sounded good until I asked if they were real gyros off the spit, no there not I was told. The place is old looking with local regulars gathering on a Sunday morning who all know each other. The woman working the floor sounded like the owner while talking to her and was very friendly, she was welcoming to everyone. Even though I know the country fried steak would be fake frozen crap I ordered it because it's better than fake gyros and I love country fried steak. My breakfast took a bit but it looked amazing with 3 sunny side up eggs, country fried steak smothered in country gravy and golden hash browns with requested onions. The Texas toast is a favorite of mine and it's hard to find at most breakfast restaurants but it was a pleasant surprise and good, this is how you start a weekend road trip off right. This was such a great comfort food breakfast meal to start a weekend getaway and it was how the whole weekend went.

2x2x2 with hashbrowns and toast included! (I ate some of my eggs already lol)

Looking for a fast, friendly, affordable breakfast place? THIS IS IT. An amazing local restaurant with great food. A group of 4 of us went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and were seated right away and taken care of. I didn't get a picture of the menu but they have MANY options. I had the 2x2x2 which was under 10$ !!!! Highly recommended. I will be back again.

Love coming here! Hilda runs a great place! The food is excellent and the ambiance is chill. Always home-cooked have a great meal here. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome

Pig in a blanket. Classy and always good :)

I was a bit judgy upon walking in for a few reasons; 1. The place we wanted to eat had too long of a wait so this was a hail Mary decision 2. LOTS OF KIDS when we walked in 3. Kinda dirty grungy diner where you question the kitchen cleanliness as well. Either way service was great and the food was average. Not great or bad. I of course ordered the classiest dish on the menu of pigs in a blanket which were executed as I would expect. I could tell the sausage was of the cheaper variety. My friend got the gypsy skillet and LOVED it :)

Awesome little diner place near the Alpine Valley ski resort where we were staying. After a full day on the slopes, this place was just what we needed! They have huge portions of comfort food and very fair prices. The service was also very prompt. Overall, great place :)

We tried their Los Altos eggs Benedict and their farmer's skillet. The chorizo in the Los Altos Benedict is very spicy and I am a chorizo connoisseur. It has too much heat for your average person. The poached eggs were over done and the potatoes had too much pepper, that's all we tasted. The farmers skillet was good but nothing to get excited about. Their juice glasses are large! The service was good and she was very pleasant. However, our server never checked if we wanted more water even when our glass was empty. One more comment, they don't offer iced coffee! Unfortunately, that set the tone from the beginning.

Service: hostesses were efficient and kind. Our server was a very young man (Eli, i think) who took good care of us and was funny. Food came out fast. 5 stars Ambiance/location: Parking was a little tough hut located near a kot of other shops and restaurants downtown. Appears to be a clean and safe neighborhood. Bathroom was clean. While it was busy, it wasn't too busy or too loud. 4 stars stars Food: Mexican skillet and steak and egg skillet (avocado added to both). Ebglish muffin and small pancake. Mexican skillet was fantastic. Even with the jalapeños it was just the right heat for me. 5 stars. Steak and egg skillet was very good. 4.5 stars. Pancake was your standard pancake. 4 stars. I really like the english muffin well toasted and buttered. 4 stars. Overall great spot and great value. I will be back when I am in the area.

It is one of the vintage-looking buildings, painted blue with green striped awnings. It has great curb appeal and feels very welcoming. There are outside café tables and plenty of seating inside for different size groups. Not only are they a coffee house, but they serve a wide-ranging menu of foods, and there are grocery items you can purchase, including dairy, eggs, and meats. They also carry many other items that make great gifts. I got a very friendly greeting from the cashier. I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte (little lavender, little vanilla, and extra foam) in a mug. The blueberry scones looked amazing, so I got one of those as well. They make all their bakery on-site. Everything was excellent, with lots of microbubbles in the latte. Plenty of blueberries in the scone, and it had the right texture (dry and a little crumbly). I forgot to bring my book along, but they have a very eclectic selection, so I was able to peruse some titles I had not seen before. Overall, another great experience. Food: Normally, I would get a London Fog Latte and a scone. They have both items, but because of their focus on healthy, organic, and local ingredients, I had to adjust my order and expectations. The London Fog Latte was made with oat milk and honey as the sweetener. The scones (and the rest of the bakery) are gluten-free. Both of these were different from what I would normally have, but they were very good. The London Fog was really well made. For oat milk, it had some very nice froth. The flavor and the temperature were good. The Pecan Maple Scone was also good. Like many gluten-free baked goods, it was more dense. They warmed it for me, and it was a delicious treat and a nice companion to the latte. Service: We received excellent service from the person helping us. We were the first ones there when they opened at 9:00. She was very helpful in explaining the café offerings and was clearly passionate about the mission. The London Fog is not on the regular menu, but they knew what it was and were happy to make it. They ensured we got everything we asked for: lattes in mugs, bakery items warmed, and food brought out to the table. Relaxed, helpful, and friendly service. Thanks, Elizabeth. Atmosphere: The place is bright and cheerful. The bee theme is present throughout the entire café, from the wall coverings to the small plates for beverages. Lots of nice light comes in through the front windows. There is plenty of seating for different-sized groups, with a choice of metal or upholstered chairs, or a couch for different levels of comfort and conversation. The entire visit had a nice vibe. I'm not quite ready to give up my flour and sugar, but I would have no trouble stopping in again.

We had drinks at the bar while waiting for a table, and the bartenders were kind, helpful, and made delicious cocktails. We closed out our tab at the bar before being seated on the front patio. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. We knew what we wanted to order right away, but after our order was taken and waters were brought out, our server essentially never returned to our table. We initially received only two of the three meals we ordered and eventually had to go inside to ask about the third. No one came by to check on our meals, refill our waters, or ask if we wanted additional drinks or dessert. We had planned to order wine and cocktails with dinner, but never had the opportunity because our server did not return. By the time we were waiting for the third meal, our waters were empty, and after we had all finished eating, we sat for quite some time before eventually having to go back inside to ask someone for boxes and the check. What was most disappointing was that there was no acknowledgment or apology for the lack of service. Instead, a staff member joked, "You should get a job here," referring to how we had stacked our own plates while waiting for someone to return to the table. The food remains excellent, and the bartenders were wonderful, which makes the experience even more disappointing. This used to be a place we looked forward to going, but the level of service has unfortunately declined significantly.
