This is a pretty typical combination sushi and hibachi place. They have a full bar and plenty of options though nothing really outstanding one way or the other. Service can be a bit variable though it's always been at least "okay" on my visits there. "Okay" also describes the seating experience as, depending on where you look, you may see a fish tank, a bar, or a wall full of lights on extension cords. Nothing dirty or super questionable, however, and I think it's worth a look if you're in the area. If this place isn't for you, there are other options just down the road. read more

While visiting the area I was pleased to find a restaurant serving traditional Bhutanese food! I was completely satisfied with my meal of Ema Datshi, Shakam Datshi, Veg Momo, and Chicken Chilli Momo. Upon speaking with the owner I was informed the ingredients are imported from Bhutan and the aroma and taste of the Ema Datshi truly brought me back to my time spent there. The conversation with staff lent to an enjoyable atmosphere and the food is incredible. Highly recommended for a taste and education in a culture many do not get to experience. read more

I've been here twice and ordered the hibachi! Both times the chefs have been amazing - just so entertaining to watch. They put on a whole show. If that's not enough, the food has been great both times. The chefs ask your preferences (like if you prefer no garlic.) So you're getting your food exactly how you like it. Last time I was there I was introduced to yum yum sauce. It lives up to its name. He kept refilling everyone's yum yum sauce cup around the table so we never ran out. The amount of food was enormous, definitely enough for a full second meal. I ordered both steak and chicken and was surprised the chicken was tastier than the steak. My boyfriend agreed. Ok so I know it was Valentines day and the like but here's how it went. We had reservations and we chose the hibachi, because the tables were full, which is fine. Ok so we sat there and another couple was there and we waited for a minute thinking that maybe they have others to fill the other seats in a moment. No problem eh? But, then another couple joined us and we thought great.. its go time for the hibachi but no... No drink menu, we got the drink menu and they said they would be back when the seats are filled. They never did and then they took our order. After 25 minutes I went to the can and came back; here are the drinks. The waitress did not even know we had seated. Anyway over an hour later, nothing so we paid the tab in cash for the drinks and left. I like taking my wife out to dinner but I could probably make some good hibachi myself on the blackstone grill. We went to Giant and just got some sushi and other refinements. I am not blaming it on Valentine's day but a lack of process. There is no way it would take that long. I was staying at the hotel across the street. Thought I would give it a try. I got a to go order of lamb vindaloo and Kurkura Momo Chicken. Both items were delicious. They had some heat to them as expected. I just want to make sure you know that going in. I did have them tamp down the vindaloo a bit but expect some heat. The vindaloo came with Jasmine Rice and it was cooked perfectly. The lamb was tender and the potatoes were delicious. The Kurkura Momo had a spicy sauce to accompany the crispy fried dumplings. I like crispy things that have a crunch and they are not greasy. While there I saw a family celebrating at the hibachi. The chef was talented and fun. Overall the restaurant looked clean. It was an interesting evening. Our chef was amazing as was the food. There were definitely a few negatives: 1. They used to have soup and salad, now you choose. This is rather minor compared to the next two things. 2. Next table left. Employee picks up all of the dirty napkins and uses them as his rag to clean the table. He never followed this up with a clean rag. 3. Tip. We almost missed this one. There were five of us; they added 20% tip to the bill. In small print at the bottom of the bill it says there is a voluntary suggested tip if 20% for parties of 5 or more. However it was NOT voluntary; they automatically added it. Very shady, guess is most people would miss this and double tip. We're now on the hunt for a new hibachi place. read more

So we made reservations for hibachi. Get their and am told i can't sit at the grill area as it is for large parties. Wasnt told that ahead of time. Finally get seated and ten seconds later the waitress is there asking if I'm ready to order. I didn't even have a menu yet. The server/bartender named Robin had no idea what he was doing. Didn't know how to make any drinks and lacked knowledge all around. Every round of drinks he would forget a couple. Salads and soup was never brought to the Hibachi table until after food was cooked and we complained. Chicken was way over cooked and the Manager obviously doesn't understand customer service. Out of the 6 pieces of sushi they put in my plate, all ala carte, 2 were cut/broken. This is embarrassing. The rice was the most disappointing. Over cooked and dry. Rice is the most important part of any sushi and you just cannot mess it up this bad. Most importantly, my miso soup was Luke warm at best. It was that way, because it was microwaved. I heard the microwave at least 3 times in the 40 minutes I sat here. Just unreal. Make it fresh, and keep it fresh. Embarrassing. Many of the special touches you would expect from a fine sushi establishment were simply not there. For example, the unagi had no sweet yakatori type sesame sauce on top. So unique, so much flavor. It was like eating art. They even serve it with two pieces of sashimi and 2 dumplings. The quality didn't stop there. The sushi was made from a sushi master. Love the hibachi here. The chefs are goofy and always make me laugh. The one is a little clumsy and threw an egg in my purse once (which was on the floor) instead of in his hat. The staff is quick for service and they stay on top of refills. I enjoy this location the most out of all the hibachi in the area. Also if you're a local they almost always have coupons in the clipper magazine. Hope this place thrives in the years to come. read more

We had a party of 8, including four children. Our Hibachi Chef was great until about five minutes in. I am assuming he had taken drugs when his eyes rolled back, he started mumbling, couldn't stand and was unable to use the utensils. After asking the manager twice, she finally came to help him. When she witnessed what we had seen, she ran to the back to get two other men to help him away. When asked what happened, she just said she sent him home. There was not so much as even an apology as we tried to explain this to our children. With all the competition for sushi in this area (there are 10+ places), some of these restaurants need to do more to stand out. We went here for just sushi a few months ago and we were seated at the private table instead of the hibachi table. The food was average - I was not impressed. I immediately compared their sushi to Sapporo East which has never let let me down. I may go back and try the hibachi someday since the restaurant is very close to home. And they do have a bar though, which many places don't have. read more
