Horrible customer service. We participated in the Long Beach Bar Crawl and came to Shannon's telling the bartender we would like to get the St. Patrick's Day drink deal. The bartender did not fulfill our drink request and when we contested the bill, the bartender was extremely rude and would not fulfill our drink request for the St. Patrick's Day deal. Extremely disappointed with the customer service we received. We were respectful but the bartender was extremely rude and ruined our experience that night. We will never come to this bar again and will recommend no one ever come to this bar due to the absolute extreme rudeness of the workers there. read more

My friend didn't get the avocado added to her burger like she ordered. 4. Never got a refill to my water and had to eat my entree without a drink. 5. Came here on a Friday night around 7pm and they had plenty of seating available. Ordered my favorite golden road mango cart beer and some boneless bbq wings and sweet potato fries. The waitress accidentally brought out traditional and when I pointed it out she immediately fixed the problem and compensated me for the inconvenience so I was a happy camper. The ranch was delicious!!! Highly recommend. They have great music sports on the TVs and good vibes. read more

I give this place 4 stars. This place has seen some construction recently. I think they are finished for the most part. I usually come during lunch and along with the sweet company of my co worker/sweetheart we chat, have a cold drink and laugh. Isn't that what enjoying a dive bar is all about. The food is good. It's greasy and filling and there isn't some 5 star chef preparing the food . It's cheap and depending on the cook you get what you pay for. Diana is my all time favorite bartender. She's on it. She's always ready with my drink and a menu. Oh and a smile. Shea is super cool and cute and I don't think I know any other ones. They change bartenders a lot though so it's a bit hard to build a good customer/bartender relationship . The manager is cool and will pour you a drink when the bartender is busy ( teamwork) Overall this place is good for a quick drink and some food. This dive bar is a chill spot for happy hour, drinks are strong and large!!! Come here to avoid the crowd....$6 for henny shots and they were like double or triple shots. Gotta come back to try their prime rib dinner specials on Mondays for $10. Nice spot to come catch the football game or basketball game (which will be in season soon). Was mainly there for drinks and pool table. They also have a couple games and a shuffle board there for entertainment and many tv's for you to watch the games. Order their sliders, it was only $4.95 for 3 and it came with fries. The sliders were delicious-- I got the turkey melt, bbq pork and tri tip and the buns were very soft and sweet. It was fulfilling. To start off I got there early to ensure a seat by the bar and sit comfortably to watch my game a male bartender who was super nice and welcoming helped me out at first but I guess his shift had ended therefore Shannon took over. Shannon noticed that my three friends have been finished with their glass beers and asked if we would like another in which I replied yes, now she had said would you guys like another glass pitchers to either take advantage of the fact that we really weren't paying attention since our game was getting interesting therefore I said yes that's fine but assumed that she would just give us another glass of beer because clear that's what we were consuming. Little did I realize she comes back and brings the three pitchers of beer and I had kindly told her "oh I'm sorry I thought you meant another glass" she then gives me the dirtiest look and with attitude in front of my friends said "well I asked you and your over here knotting your head yes" I was so shocked at the pettiness she came in with and response that I received when I'm being nothing but polite and not raising my voice because to me I'm thinking it was a misunderstanding and lack of communication. But I simply took her petty comment and tried to not have her ruin my time with my friends. Therefore I told her that's fine go ahead and charge my card either way we were planning to continue drinking so why not it is what it is and I'll just take it. She then pours our glasses and states " I'll go ahead and place them in the cooler until your read for your next one" so I agreed and signed my tab. That alone left me with a bad taste and will never forget her and her lack of costumer service. We then finish our drinks and she comes back thinking I wouldn't remember and she asks us if we would like another drink mind you she goes to my friend who is sitting the farthest from me thinking I wouldn't hear her offering another drink, therefore I tell her without being rude or showing any kind of disrespectful tone "oh I paid for another two pitchers" she then gives me that same look of discuss and tries to school me and make me look like a fool stating " no you didn't and we don't even have coolers here" I was so shocked and the fact that she lied was so irritating but shame on Shannon . So then I decided to stand up for myself and without causing a scene mind you I kept my composure and showed her that just because I'm a customer at the bar I in fact do have some education unlike her trashy attitude which fit her appearance. I told her"I asked for a refill on my glass beer and maybe it might of not understood you but you have me attitude and were being rude" she quickly backlashes because she did not expect me to say anything or remember and she then states and points at me with attitude " no your being rude and you can go" I was so embarrassed and disappointed in how poorly this woman acts upon the simplest situation which could have been avoided but she knew she was doing wrong by being sneaky and not communicating right with the consumers. So you know what I hope management which I calmly spoke to and the security who was very nice and escorted me after not even causing a scene look at the cameras and "talk to Shannon" as management said they would but we all know how that goes. And a word of advice to Shannon I hope you realize that we are all human and just have some kindness in your heart and learn how to be friendly and remember your in costumer service not the military and that I believe in karma and you should be grateful for having a job that's willing to tolerate a terrible employee like you because with my experience I'm pretty sure there's others who have much more to say. read more

This is the home of the American Outlaws Long Beach chapter, supporters for the U.S. national soccer teams. I was here last night since this bar was the night before party location, a tradition for us anytime we have a match (USA vs Canada is today at StubHub Center). I should note there are different permits for the street level vs downstairs so you cannot order on the street level and then take your alcoholic beverage downstairs. I ordered a hard apple cider (don't know what brand), and it was $6.50/pint. Pear hard cider was also another option. Parking can be somewhat tricky. There's a parking garage about a block down on your left off of Broadway, before the next intersection. You'll see a yellow "P." I was told it was $5, but it was actually $6 (flat rate), cash or credit. That's still not bad for the L.A. area. I thought the street level bar was okay, and service was somewhat prompt. Downstairs has a pretty wide open space. I can see why the setup is great for a large amount of people. The owner let us bang pinatas (Canadian flag, soccer ball, & Sepp Blatter) with a baseball bat and didn't seem to mind if us drunkards hit the metal railing along the stairwell. I came in after court needing a drink, Yvonne poured my Jameson on the rocks for me she was extremely friendly, Dezy was also behind the bar also very friendly we had a nice conversation she explained the happy hour menu and pricing for me. Over all the environment is very fun I really like the set up of the place a lot of TVs showing all the games that are live so there's something for everyone. They also have a pool table in the back. What stood out the most is how good the bartenders were it seemed like they remember their regulars and people seem to come back here for a good reason. This review is for the 2nd floor bar. You'll have a good time depending on who helps you at the bar. I've been here a few times with different groups of friends. We usually order a few rounds of beers and shots (and tip 15-20% depending on how quick we get our drinks). The guy bartenders are usually cool with us asking for a bottle of water or two because they know we sober up and we're back at the bar again. Last night, the skinny brunette helped me first at the bar. We bar hopped from the Federal bar. The bar was dead at 11:30pm, we got a round of shots. It was $50 and figured we'd be back, so I tipped her $10. We asked for some water maybe 30 mins later and a beer, and I asked how much water was. She said $3 for water. The last few times we were there, we were not charged water so I was hoping it'll be complimentary. I needed water, so I paid. Round three was maybe a hour later, I glanced up and saw that water was only $2 underneath their long list of beers. I got sober real quick. I didn't make a scene cause I'm a lady, but I did say OUT LOUD - "why was I charged $3 for water when it's $2 on the menu?" Skinny brunette helped someone else. The guy with the beard helped me instead. Drinks are already overpriced, we know that going out, but bartenders shouldn't be charging extra, especially when we tip on top of overpriced drinks. During Conor Mcgregor's fight for more than hour and a half me and my girl were at one spot, got food and drinks, paid for it, etc, and about five minutes before an actual fight we were told that those seats that we were sitting at were sold to someone else. The only reason why I didn't argue about it too much was because they didn't seem to reason with me and I knew if I was going to defend my truth I was gonna get kicked out and miss the fight, and I waited for it for too long. Bartender service 4 stars, front door security ZERO stars. (I would give negative if I could) I've been to many bars, clubs, establishments across the United States and never had front door security not accept a military Id as proper identification. When I presented my card, they Security guy asked if I have a "regular Id"?? What constitutes a regular id these days? A passport? Costco card? Drivers license? I kindly told him the government id is valid and even let him know my birthdate is in the back. He insisted on this "regular id" while raising his voice and squaring up to me like he wanted to throw down. as a side note: I am on vacation for the holidays after a 10 month tour in Afghanistan. Honestly, I'm still adjusting to life in the real world and It doesn't help some juiced up security guard is getting in my face for no reason. I've lived in the east coast, texas, the south etc. NEVER have I had this kind of rejection/ disrespect/ and aggression for showing my military ID card. NEVER. On a side note, the bartender was nice and filled my water twice. Still, I'm not coming back and warning all military/ vets to do the same. Since our IDs are not 'regular'. If it was possible to go lower than one star, I would. Unfortunately this establishment gets a Big "F" rating from me! I have No Desire to return to Shannon's again, although I have been there many times and Shannon's on 2nd street. This experience was the final straw for me. My son and daughter in law invited me to come have a drink after work. We had been trying to get together for some time and completely unprovoked and out of nowhere the bartender, (who claimed was the manager) started an argument with me and proceeded to follow me out of the establishment for a physical altercation. Did not make it though, my daughter in law proceeded to restrain her and possibly talk some sense because she was 'clearly' out of control. This actually occured over a year ago, but for some reason it has stayed in my unfinished reviews. so i am completeing it. In conclusion to this, the owner or actual management had gotten wind of the occurance and contacted me to inquire. They were very concerned and polite with the questioning on what had taken place. The addressed the issue and as far as i had heard after a meeting with all the staff had taken place and the issue from within was resolved. so Yes, I wanted to give a big fat F, but i dont think i ever finished because my rating changed and i feel they didnt really deserve that one star for that one bad seed of a drunken employee. so 4 stars it is. i havent went back as a customer unfortunately, when you get a bad taste of something that was once so good you dont wish to eat that anymore you know. Whether at a booth or at the bar, TV's are very visible at all angles. Service was slow but friendly the second time there but it was understood as it was s busy Thursday night football game. Third time was the best. Hot wings were fat & juicy with a good dose of Franks hot on them. The tacos were excellent & we tried the 12 taco platter mixed up kinds of tacos. All of them were great. Definitely get the chips & guacamole to get started. Fresh taste to boost. Would be nice if the beer selection was bigger but I was happy drinking what I wanted. Let's begin with the entrance; it's only appropriate. From the looks of this place, it's safe to say that any high expectations were far from promising. But it was between this & a taco truck. My original experience here wasn't a good one. The first time I went a male Barteneder was extremely rude letting other males cut me in line. When I said something to him he further disrespected me by sticking his whole hand in my face to shut me up. However, this review is STRICTLY for LAMAR the bouncer. Lamar was extremely respectful and got us seated right away! He wiped down the table more than once to make sure it was up to "quarantine standards." Lamar was the only reason for turning my horrible experience around. Someone needs to give that man a raise! He's awesome! OMG this place is AWESOME! The outdoor dining works great for Social Distancing. The employees are so nice. Now let's talk about the food. The Prime Rib sandwich was unbelievable! So tender. It's served with Au Jus that is so good and then the Kick Ass horseradish sauce adds the perfect kick to the sandwich. And all of that comes with a huge helping of French fries too! Do yourself a favor and check them out. After almost 6 months of isolation and having to do all my classes online, Damn if this wasn't the perfect Weekend Release.
