My friend and I literally just left this location and we will never be coming back. We ordered a honey green milk tea with boba and the drink tasted really off. The tea flavor was extremely light and bitter. We live in Orange County and have been to other Sharetea locations (Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa) without any issues. If there was anything wrong with our drinks, the other locations would happy remake them or switch them out for other ones. I asked the cashier if I could simply swap this honey green milk tea out for a classic milk tea (they're the same price) and the cashier said "I'll see" and walked away. She came back and said "No, I can't." This is extremely poor customer service. They clearly don't care about their customers returning. She didn't even apologize for not being able to help us out. If you want to happily enjoy your drink, I'd advise you to go elsewhere. read more

Share tea is a really reliable source of boba. Great variety of flavors, attendees is totally controllable, and most locations are fairly similar in quality and service. They do tend to have longer lines but it's one of the places you can get great tasting unsweetened milk tea. Not watery at all! read more

Honestly one of the best boba places I know. They get my drink, fresh milk black tea with boba regular ice + normal sweetness, right every single time. The boba is always made perfectly and the drinks taste great. I've been to other ShareTea locations and use this one as a benchmark for how good it is. The other ones really cannot compare. Because of the COVID19 pandemic, they're only taking orders online. I appreciate that they're still serving drinks while many other places have shuttered business, but there are some issues. They won't take phone orders. The system is cumbersome, you have to go to orderspoon to place the order. Even if you specify anything outside of the order (like to exclude an ingredient or tweak your drink somehow), the system will not show it. Every time I come in I have to tell them to correct the order after they've made it, such a waste of time. Likewise they have no efficient system for picking up drinks once you arrive, you have to go inside (one person at a time) and check with them to see if they've made it. If there are a few people waiting it becomes a hassle. They should implement a number system that can display on the window to make everyone's lives easier. Can't really rate them higher as their other locations don't seem to have these problems. read more

I previously posted a review raving about their taro milk tea boba & how I'm a regular customer at their establishment however last time I went in the girl working the register who annoyingly repeatedly calls people "sweetie" was acting like there was such a big rush coming in bc she hardly made eye contact with me and just kept looking over my shoulder. When she handed me my change she basically threw it in my hand causing the money to scatter everywhere!!! And the RUDE part about it is that she didn't even have the decency to pick it up or help me pick it up she just called for the next customer. & when I went to go get my drink she tried placing the blame on me by saying "oh yeah you left this when you dropped your money. Love the taro ice blend, wifey came in last time and asked for a taro pearl milk tea .. I saw a man make it, very nice . If only he didn't mess it up. It wasn't even purple .. and it was a bit watered down .... but one of their male employees ( I think he had a hat on if i can remember & gold necklace ) remade it & wow it was simply so much better! Their staff is really nice, thanks for being open during the pandemic! good choice in music! this new staff is kind of different to adjust to but i give them kudos for learning! Love love love this place!! I love their fresh handmade taro milk tea drinks and their matcha milk tea with red beans and ice cream. These two are my usual go to drinks that hits the spot each time! And if I feel like having something different, my other favorite drink is the mango slush with a scoop of ice cream! It's a dessert and drink at the same time! I used to like this place a lot before last night, my girlfriend and me went in to buy milk tea for my friends. My girlfriend show her phone for a guy to read the order easier and faster, then a girl-employee was standing near to him, looked at my girlfriend phone, disrespectful and said: " What kind of language is this?, so funny". Excellent product and service. Yes it takes a while for the hand made, hand stired Tea to be made but that's the nature of hand craft boba tea. The competitors Tea station takes just as long and they are very rude there, another competitor Ding tea barely gives 1／4 amount of Boba compared to Share rea. Was looking forward to giving this place a five, but I unfortunately can't. The tea was good (I got the winter melon tea. Had a nice flavor to it, and the boba was nice and firm unlike some places where it's obviously been sitting around all day) just like most boba places around San Diego, but the wait was ridiculous. I waited 15 minutes for my drink even though there was only a line of about 4 people. I saw another guy wait 20 minutes. Either way, after going here three times, I've experienced the same long wait. I go to starbucks often, and even though they have about the same amount of people and work stations, they pump out drinks much faster. I think sharetea just need to find a more efficient system or just get better at what they are doing. Overall, the wait isn't worth it. If you're going there to socialize with friends I guess it works, but if you're just there to get boba because boba is awesome, then just be aware that you'll be waiting a while. I was hoping that I had found a good place to get boba near the Scripps area, but it's probably just faster to go to Mira Mesa and get boba that'll will take 2 minutes. read more

So excited to have a tasty boba tea place not too far from me. I have seen a couple places here and there however wasn't interested in trying the local places as having first gotten hooked on boba tea in the Bay Area nothing quite seemed appealing. I was recently back in the Bay Area and renewed my quest after having had it at a few places there where I was able to customize the sweetness level. I tried 3 SD local places, Sharetea being the last place and the last one to try as I found my tea place! :) It's not the closest to me but definitely worth it. The option to customize the ice and more importantly sugar/sweetness is huge especially for those wanting to limit their sugar intake. Good size for the price. I am hooked and will frequent the place often -prob every time I am in the area as well as specific trips just for tea! So far i have come back 3 times now in a week. Don't go anywhere Sharetea! **Would love to see an Earl Gray offering but other than that, it's all good! read more

Would minus half a star for the 15 min waiting for the drink. I guess they short on staff or still new so probably give them some time to pick things up. We came during our lunch break for some classic boba tea. We ordered, everything went smooth right. That's not all, when we got our drink, one of the drink doesn't have boba in them and we're sure we double check to add boba to our first drink. When we asked them to add boba, one of the cashier was like "SHE WANTS BOBA NOW'. Nah that's not how it goes in customer service, as an associate you have to apologize for your mistake and gladly add in what's missing. These people needs to go to school about behavior. Today I wasn't sure what to get and I was happy the cashier gave me some time to think of what I wanted. She also let me download their rewards program app and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Today I got the wintermelon tea creama and I am loving the creaminess of it. The tea itself was very sweet and I had hoped for more tea flavor, so I will Definitely try it at a lower sweetness level. My girlfriend got the QQ happy family milk tea and it wasn't what she expected, but I thought it was a quality milk tea with a potpourri of toppings. New favorite place in town for its combination of great tea, location, parking, and value. Previously the wife and I would trek from RB down to Convoy to get something good, now there's a stellar option at half the distance. I'm a fan of oolong varieties, and the classic half-sweet in oolong hit the spot. Sometimes with oolong its customary flavor notes start off mild and are completely gone by the time you're halfway through the drink - not so the case here, the nice flavor stayed there till the end. Boba was fresh with just the right amount of gentle chewiness. The wife is more adventurous and has fallen in love with the "QQ Happy Family Milk Tea", an interesting combination of lots of different toppings/jellies. We've been back twice since sampling it during the soft open. Every time have had no trouble parking my big truck in the lot (try that on Convoy!) and have found their single-size cup to fit cupholders well and contain just the right amount. Nice too they give you a clear option to get less than normal ice, so you aren't made to feel like a jerky customer for wanting more tea. read more

I'm so happy that this location remained open during Covid. The drinks are almost always perfect. My only fuss nowadays is that, what is the point in ordering ahead if you still have to wait in the long long long line? It's great when it's not busy, but holy smoke! It would be nice if you actually used one of your windows for pre-orders. I saw you had the separate windows before, but no one manned those windows. I literally had to wait a while just to get someone's attention, plus all the dirty looks you get from your other customers, who also had to wait in the long long long line (even though they pre-ordered), is not nice. If you don't address this, I may have to start going to your competition. As a matter of fact, as I'm writing this, I've been waiting for my order that I made over an hour ago! A great boba joint but there is one in convoy already. A lot of parking (in the area with Trader Joe's and Chuck E Cheese) and the wait for the drink is moderate when it is not busy. Now I gave it a three because I wanted to be nice because the first time I came here I had the coffee creama and that was really good especially since I am a coffee lover. But the second time I came here I ordered what my cousin got the last time we were here two days ago and it was the Strawberry Ice Blended w/ Lychee jelly and ice cream (vanilla, for those who were curious what kind) I am very disappointed with the amount you get because right when you get the drink, it's leaking everywhere, caps breaking, and it just makes a total mess. Now if you are someone who doesn't want to drink a lot of it and want to actually enjoy the drink before getting in the car or heading out then I suggest you get a different drink. Don't get me wrong the drink is very delicious but the amount that I have to drink in order for it to not overfill is just not satisfying especially since having a brain freeze is not pretty. Waiting time is a disaster! I waited more than 20 minutes to get the order. The most ridiculous thing is that they will charge 50 cents for the credit card if your order is less than 10 bucks. I have drunk milk tea for 10 years in the US and that's my first time to see this. It's acceptable for me to say cash only under 10 but it makes me feel angry to charge the unnecessary fee on my card without my attention. Comparing to the 85 degree bakery in Mira Mesa, taste is worse, waiting time is longer and price is more expensive. I don't recommend it and will don't come back personally . read more

This is my 4th visit and definitely my last visit. A friend had recommended I try this place out so finally I decided to. I have made 3 trips in the past 2 weeks (and never had a serious issue) and thought this is my new go to boba place. Although wait time is a little longer than the other boba places, I didn't mind at all as long as the drinks I ordered turned out good. I thought this was my new go to boba spot...until my visit today. I came in a little after 10:15pm and behind the register was a girl with really short black hair looking busy (I'd mention her name that's on the receipt but I'll keep it private). She knew I was there but kept reading a long receipt she pulled out from the register, she even turned her back at one point but whatever I decided to glance at the menu above even though I knew what to order. When she was ready to take my order, she said "sorry we're out of boba" and at first I didn't want to proceed with ordering but I was already there so might as well make the best of it and get our drinks. I ordered my husband's first, hot thai milk tea no boba. When it came to ordering mine, she asked if I wanted boba with mine but i told her "wait...didn't you just tell me you guys are out of boba?" and she said "oh yeah" I asked her politely "what else would be a good replacement since I am fairly new to the place" and she said that boba was better. I asked about the jelly mixed with the classic pearl milk tea and she said "that's good too" so I went with that. When the drinks were finally ready on the counter, I noticed the tin can that held the bigger straws was empty. I asked the guy with glasses if he can get one for me. He said "you can use the thinner straws". I lifted my drink up to show him my drink had big chunks of jelly and that a bigger straw would be needed. He seemed frustrated and asked someone else for straws. It happened to be the cashier who took my order came out and grabbed straws that were in one of those box looking holder that was hidden from where I was standing and yelled out "they're right here!" all angry and irritated. Remember I am new to this place so I don't know where else you keep your straws. When I got in the car, I noticed the hot Thai tea lid was not tightly closed. What employee serves hot drinks and doesn't make sure the lid is tightly closed? It could have dropped and wasted a drink or worst yet spilt on me. This is definitely a safety hazard. Whoever made the hot tea didn't even bother to take the time to close it properly. I know maybe the employees are high school/college students and it's late night, they're tired and ready to close. However to work in a place where customer service is high importance they should be trained better. I noticed there's no welcoming greet when you come in, no smile or a thank you after each order you make. I have never experienced this type of service from any other Mira Mesa boba spots as the ones I've gone to are more friendlier and respectful which I will be going back to whenever I have that boba craving. Sharetea may have more options on the menu, but they lack good customer service. Just when I thought I would be a regular customer, after this visit I'm never going to this place again. I wasted not only my time and money but the drink went down the drain as it was just plain nasty with the jelly. If you can handle long waits, rude employees and poor customer service, this is the place for you. Otherwise don't waste your time and go somewhere else that's better. read more

Sharetea's tea selection is too sweet for my liking. I had the wintermelon crema, 80% sweet, as was recommended, and it's still way too sweet! The cocoa milk tea tastes very earthy (like dirt, according to one of my kiddies), and the hokkaido milk tea is nothing to write home about. I liked this place the first time I came, the tea is decent and the boba tastes fresh. The last few times I've found the service is incredibly slow, even during off times. Recently came in with a friend and they said they were out of boba... not sure how that happens when that is supposed to be your main product. They also added on a $0.50 charge for each card transaction under $10 dollars! Very annoyed since they didn't do that when they first opened and all of their drinks are under $5. Sharetea is right next to Manila Sunset. Came on a Friday night and it was crowded but I still got my order really quickly which was a nice surprise. I ordered the taro with pudding blended and coffee milk tea. I had asked the cashier what was the difference between crema coffee and milk tea coffee and I was told that the milk tea would taste like Vietnamese coffee which it did not. I've never had a milk tea before, so for those inexperienced like me, let's just say it tastes like tea that has been brewing for too long lol! The coffee is subtle and the tea flavor is very potent. The taro blended had a good flavor and the pudding was nice but texture a little different and didn't necessarily make the drink taste better. Taste of the tea and the boba was really good equal to or better than tea station on regular sugar. There was a long line so the wait was longer than normal but for a soft opening, it wasn't too bad. Will give them the benefit on service since it is a soft opening and the location is close to the freeway off of Mira Mesa exit, so I cannot complain. Just found out about this place. Really great selection of teas, milk teas and more. You can adjust the sweetness of your drink as well. Boba pearls were chewy and delicious. I ordered a green tea with Boba at 20% sweet and it was refreshing. Tried the winter melon too and it was very good. The only downside is the long line to order.
