I recently tried the hopchata also but I wasn't a fan because the horchata (rice and cinnamon flavor) was barely noticeable. The haupia was also non-existent. I wouldn't order that again. One thing I do notice is that my drinks are inconsistently made. I really think it depends on who is the barista. Sometimes my almond joy is made perfectly and other times it barely has coffee, dark chocolate, and haupia in it. Sad days when my iced coffees aren't made perfectly. Hopefully they improve on this.

On Saturday and Sundays, fresh crepes are available with a variety of options. Great place for takeout and a quick bite! Sadly the oven was down the morning we went but they have a microwave and backup options for the oven items.

There were only a few pastries left, so I politely asked if there were any more in the back or if additional pastries were being baked. Her response was simply, "No," but it was the dismissive and condescending tone that stood out. Throughout our interaction, her responses felt short, cold, and passive-aggressive. When our order was ready, she placed the plate on our table without saying anything and walked away. She later came back to collect the table number and again didn't say a word. I understand these may sound like small things, but basic hospitality goes a long way--something as simple as "Enjoy" or "Have a great meal" makes customers feel welcomed. This was especially disappointing because Hinar is a Kurdish café, and I was genuinely looking forward to experiencing the warmth and hospitality that Middle Eastern culture is known for. Unfortunately, our interaction felt like the complete opposite. Thankfully, another employee, Yama, was completely different. When we shared our concerns with him, he was respectful, professional, and genuinely kind. He handled the situation exactly the way you would hope someone representing a business would. Yama was a great reflection of what the customer experience should be. My wife also mentioned that she had experienced a similar situation with Angelika during a previous visit. Her friend had asked whether the matcha foam could be mixed into the drink. Angelika immediately said they couldn't do it. At one point, she motioned for me to come over with a "come here" hand gesture without saying anything. I found that extremely disrespectful and uncomfortable. As a paying customer, I shouldn't feel like I'm being summoned or treated as though I've done something wrong. I approached her calmly and asked if there was an issue. I explained that I felt her customer service throughout our visit had been poor and unprofessional. Her response was, "I'm just giving you the same energy you were giving me." That honestly surprised me because I don't believe I had been rude or disrespectful to her at any point. I asked a couple of simple questions and expected the same basic courtesy that any customer should receive. I've worked in customer service and sales for years, so I understand that dealing with the public isn't always easy. At the same time, I know how much customer service matters. Employees are the face of a business, and unfortunately, one negative interaction can completely change someone's impression of an otherwise beautiful establishment. The café itself has a lot going for it--the space is beautiful, the food was decent enough, and Yama was excellent. But based on our experience, I think management should seriously address the way customers are being treated by certain staff members. I hope this review is taken constructively because I would genuinely like to see Hinar Café succeed. It's a beautiful place with a lot of potential, and with the right customer service, it could leave people with a completely different and much more positive impression.

A new location that just opened. I was a bit disappointed at this location due to serval factors. There wasn't any line and was not busy. But it took them nearly 20 mins for 4 drinks to come out. Green milk tea with boba, taro milk tea with boba, wintermelon brewed tea with ice cream, and 2 honey milk tea hot with boba. I find this very disappointing considering the wait time I had to wait. I walked in at 6:23pm did not leave until 6:50pm with 2 wrong drinks. I over heard one of the staff trying to figure out how to make hot drinks? I was a bit confused since they have been opened for sometime now. While the cashier was taking my order she recited back correctly, but I was not sure if that message went across to the people making drinks. I told the cashier this wasn't what I ordered. She told me there's nothing she can do. Such great customer service considering they were just opened. I'm not sure if I want to come back. Since 2 of my drinks were made wrong. I always go to Sharetea on convoy street. It's one of my favorite places. I went to the one in Mira Mesa. I was there at 9:50 which is 10 minutes before they close and the employee name Alvin stopped me at the door and told me sorry we are already closed. Until the other employee said no we still have 10 minutes. When I went to order. Alvin started telling me most items I wanted was out of stock or they didn't have the Ingredients. Finally I picked just an ice cream tea that is very easy to make. But I was short 18 cents and wanted to put the rest on my card and he told me I can't do that. I have done that plenty of times at the convoy location and also few times here in the Mira Mesa location. Just feel like he was trying to get out of work as soon as possible. These employees work super hard, and I can understand the amount of work they put in. But amazing good! stop complaining over drinks though .. some of you I've seen throw fits & lash out on these employees like as if it benefits your whole order. I definitely recommend a QQ happy family or an oreo ice blend! Their online system can be a bit confusing but its definitely usable & is labeled outside their door so its easy to scan and use! I don't complain over wait times as it could even be less than what it is labeled ... theyre lucky enough to be open for business to us & thats what matters, thank you! read more

I stopped by Sharetea for a coffee drink, and I'm so glad I did! The barista was incredibly friendly and helpful--she gave me three great options to choose from and guided me through picking the one that best matched my taste. I ended up loving my drink! I ordered from orderspoon and it took almost 1 hour for my drink, come to the store to pick up and take forever again. Not recommend. Sometimes the drinks are great, but recently the boba has been terrible. For the last three days, the boba has been burnt, hard, and crispy. It feels like the same batch is being left out all day and served long after it should have been replaced. Yesterday, I ordered three drinks through DoorDash. I understand that ordering through a delivery service costs more, but I pay the extra charge because it saves time. One of the teas was ordered without ice because I have a one-hour commute home and didn't want watered-down tea. When I got home, I found that the cup was barely over half full. I know DoorDash includes a disclaimer that drinks without ice may not be filled to the top, but we're talking about tea here. Filling the cup properly would have cost very little, and receiving a drink that was less than three-quarters full felt like a slap in the face. Today, I decided to give them one last chance and ordered another drink online during my lunch break. Again, I paid extra for the convenience of ordering ahead because I don't have time to stand in line and wait. When I arrived at 11:30, I was told the boba wasn't ready yet. Not only did I not get what I ordered and paid for, but I ended up waiting while other customers were served. I had to return to work late, frustrated, and stuck with a tea without boba that I had overpaid for. After spending a significant amount of money here over time, I'm disappointed to say they've lost a loyal customer. Consistent quality and better customer service would go a long way.

You can tell they put care into making every drink. What stood out the most this visit was how fast everything was. The time I went, there was only one girl working, and I know it gets busy, especially when the high school students come but she handled everything so well, making drinks quickly, staying organized, and still getting every order right. Service is always friendly too. She was welcoming, patient, and kept a positive attitude the whole time. Shoutout to her for working so hard it definitely didn't go unnoticed and made the experience even better. The place itself is clean with a nice, chill vibe, making it a great spot to relax. Overall, great drinks, fast service, and a really positive experience. With how consistent and enjoyable my visits have been, I'll definitely be becoming one of the regulars!

First of all, it was BLAZING HOT inside like the heater was on. Nobody wants to come into a boba store and sweat. Also your poor employees who have to work in that heat. Please turn on your AC. Second, their drink sizes are definitely smaller than other places so their prices seem higher. Between the cup being filled half way with ice and then a layer of boba at the bottom, there was minimal drink to enjoy. On the positive side, the girls working there were friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking in the lot. The late night hours are nice but in order to earn my 5 stars, they need the AC on and the drink sizes increased.

She continued chatting away and I finally get my drink about 10 mins later. Now let's talk about the drink. I saw her scoop maybe a teaspoon of matcha into the shaker and shook it with the oat milk. First of all, that is not enough matcha. Second, you need to be whisking it or make a batch. All I can taste is strawberry milk. Today's cold interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. It included pickled cucumber (which was really good), a stir-fried cabbage and carrot mix, and another stir-fried vegetable I wasn't familiar with but still enjoyed. My kids especially liked the teriyaki sauce. We also tried the chicken popcorn and my husband ordered the pork chop, which had that authentic Taiwanese bento-style taste we were hoping for. One thing I really appreciated is that they included small bowls for the kids and extra utensils without us even asking--that was a thoughtful touch and definitely a plus for me. The girl who was working was really nice. The inside of the place was big and plenty of seating. They only have indoor seating. They have plenty of parking which is great.
