My favorite place for boba in Marin. Boba isn't for everyone but people who like boba will love sharetea. I have almost gone through their entire menu of drinks and they are all amazing. I usually get 80% sweetness in my drinks and would recommend that to anyone else ordering. read more

Yes!!! Consistency! This place has earned my 5 star approval for boba: 1) For consistency of making drinks 2) For extending hours - they now open until 9:30pm Mon-Sat. instead of 8pm! 3) Quicker service - majority of the employees are getting the hang of things and drinks are coming out more smoothly. Just hope you don't come at a busy time because the line will be out the door. Literally. Because the place is tiny for the crowd it attracts. Hopefully they'll be able to expand at some point because it'd be lovely to have space for tables to hang out, or just space to stand and wait for drinks even. read more

This boba place is one of the only ones around Marin County that is... strictly boba. The menu is decently sized, with hot and cold drinks available. I have found a new delight in getting a coffee creama boba, which is iced coffee with a healthy dollop of cream and - you guessed it - boba. It's pretty darn delicious. My boyfriend likes their iced ginger milk tea, which is pretty darn gingery and delicious. They have a number of other pearl and jelly options to choose from, with varying levels of sweetness and ice as per your preference. Awesome! read more

I would not recommend this place. My group of friends bought five drinks total. None of the drinks tasted good. The tea tasted watered down and had no tea flavor. The tapioca balls did not have the right consistency either. I asked for the advertised toffee drink. Girl said: no toffee. I then asked for white boba. Girl said: no white boba. Why put up the advertisement then?? Moreover, I bought two drinks, and while waiting for my drinks, I asked for a small cup of water. Rude and unprofessional customer service. *If they say they rejected your transaction by accident, make sure and check your statements prior to them attempting to double charge you for their mistake they may not be able to prove. I ordered a honey milk tea w/ pearls and even tipped for my drink, not because of excellent service but simply as a courtesy. 2 stars for an okay drink. After my transaction was complete I sat down for a couple of minutes and the cashier calls me over saying the payment didn't go through because said she hit "reject" instead of "accept." They could not provide proof of decline of payment. When payments get declined or don't go through, initially the cashier will correct the mistake as the transaction is being made and show proof and take care of the matter right away. This cashier was not paying attention. Fine, everyone makes mistakes. Then, they ask me to check my bank statement, which I did not have too, but showed them that I was charged for my order with no updates on my payment being declined or refunded. They seriously wanted to possibly charge me double for their mistake? No thank you. They kept questioning ME for their mistake. She kept explaining she hit the reject button but couldn't provide proof as my bank statement clearly showed my proof of payment. I clearly showed them the recent payment that said Sharetea charge of ($4.50 + $1.00 tip =$5.50) and they argued at first that wasn't the payment....the cashier was so off she didn't even realize that was the payment with added tip...which is why it charged more. At first they apologized, but were very rude afterward because they did not have proof of a declined payment while I had proof of a payment. The manager was holding my drink hostage for a couple minutes and after she saw that I was not going to let them double charge me for their mistake because I had proof she rudely said "just take it" and grunted and sighed. I don't know whether it was directed towards me or her cashier, but otherwise it was extremely rude and unprofessional. If you can't get your professional act together over a $5 drink, you must lack in your business management and ownership. As a customer, I was voluntarily being cooperative and honestly I did not have to be because it was their mistake. In the future, please do not provide poor customer service over the mistakes of your own employees. read more

Will be filing a complaint with Department of Consumer Affairs as this is not allowed and, frankly, poor business practice to be lying to your customers. I have been to Share Tea for years in Berkeley & Concord & always raved about the product & their service. This was my first & LAST time at the San Rafael location. The "mature" woman behind the counter was one of the most rude people I have ever met in a service industry. As usual I asked to put my phone # in to their pad to pull up my rewards. She kept giving me the page to start a new profile & I told her 6 times that I already had a profile that I have had for several years & I have rewards that have been earned on it & that I would like to access & use my rewards. She kept telling me that I had to open a new profile & accessing my rewards were my problem, not hers. My jaw just about dropped. I asked her if she thought that talking to any customer like that was appropriate or prudent & she completely ignored me. We were there at 7:30 pm on Saturday evening 8/11/18. There was a young woman that appeared to be training a young guy & then this "older/mature" woman at the counter that should have completely known better. Needless to say I will never recommend this location & will share my review on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & anywhere else I can warn people about how the treatment at this location is. She was clearly the Manager or Owner which makes the whole incident even more absurd. You would think that in this day & age when you can have your business made or broken by customer reviews & sharing on social media that she would actually care about the people that have a lot of choices but chose to come to her establishment. I can't rave enough about share tea! It's the best place to get boba in Marin County. My favorite drink here is coffee milk tea. I love the coffee flavor, and the boba is just the right texture, the right balance of soft and chewy. The other drinks are also solid! Highly recommend. I'm from the East Bay and have been to many milk tea places. I was excited when I saw ShareTea in Marin because I know there isn't many here. I ordered my usual freah black milk tea. I am a disappointed. The drink taste bland and water down. I happened to ordered banh mi sandwich next door and my bf ordered a mango and coconut drink there. I took one sip. My sister ordered a classic milk tea with pearls - 80% sweet and low ice. She loved it and would definitely come back again. I ordered a whole lemon black tea - 100% sweet and regular ice. I didn't enjoy the taste of the black tea (more of a personal preference) and it could have been sweeter. I read the reviews of problems with staff and the manager yelling at the employees - but I had a comfortable experience. There was a line, but the drinks came out within a reasonable amount of time. Mediocre tea with AWFUL customer service that will talk crap in Chinese when you leave! My buddy and I went here after lunch to try it out. She said that the one in San Mateo is soooo good with so many options so, I decided to give it a try. We were greeted by a middle aged woman who was really rude in taking our order. My friend asked for the options that she was used to getting at the Sharetea in San Mateo and the lady curtly answered, we don't do that. So, my friend asked for another option, same answer. Ok, she settled for a generic off the menu which she said was not even as good as the one in San Mateo. They don't ask what you want nor ask if you want any options. I'm not even sure why they opened the place if they don't enjoy their work or conversing with customers. Lastly, since they didn't add bubble in the tea, we asked, doesn't it come with it. They asked if we ordered it with bubble and then the lady complained about us asking for options in Mandarin. What a joke of a place. Every time I have went with family, we all get stomach cramps. I've literally been so sad about this because honestly it taste good. Taro blended with ice cream and pearls, match blended with pearls and Thai tea with pearls. Those are all the ones we've bought multiple times, but everytime everyone gets stomach pain. I wish I could get money back for all my discomfort but again taste good but not worth the tummy aches. Fyi Im not lactose intolerant, cashier says they use non dairy creamer anyways. This place was horrible. No friendly smiles or greeting. There was a child ringing customers up who couldn't answer my questions whether I could change the mango green tea drink to just mango with regular milk tea. The child asked a lady who was making the drinks and all she looked at me and said "NO!" The whole time I was ordering my drinks, I felt rushed. If there was an option to not give any stars, I'd give this establishment a ZERO! This is the first and last time I'll go to this Sharetea. I was excited to have boba again after giving it up for Lent. I ordered Okinawa Milk Tea with a Boba. When I got my order, I was ready to inhale my drink... but when I took my first sip.... it wasn't the same as the other shareteas (granted that the franchise upholds the same standards) it was bland and watered down! I then went back to tell them that it didn't taste right. Hoping that they'd fix it. Low and behold another customer came and notified them of the same thing... "It doesn't taste right. It's watered down." That's two different customers with the same type drink with the same complaint... The lady at the window wasn't having it. She'd look at the other workers like, " what the "frick"is this dude talking about"and started giving us attitude. She was rude! Worst customer service ever. So after going back and forth with this rude lady, it Turns out that they ran out of the original Okinawa tea and used a different brand. So even if I asked them to fix my drink, they couldn't. They offered to change my drinks. I ended up with a Hokkaido with boba and Thai tea with boba. A little better, but still watered down. I'm NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
