It could be because I came both times when the owner of this place wasn't working and only thr college/highschool kids were left in charge to close up. Our of all the ShareTea I've been to this is the worst. First, of all really small and hard to maneuver within the store. Second, workers were new and didn't know how to make the drinks. Third, hard to spot store since it is small. Fourth, it is right beside of a busy and smelly hair salon. Fifth, no parking. Sixth, they didn't have the right straws to sick out the Pearls. I had a headache at the end from sucking too much because the Pearls were getting stuck within the straw. (keep your mind clean). Lastly, very show service. I love this place. I've been to a lot of bubble tea places and this is probably one of the best. Very generous with their bobas ( while most others skimp on the pearls) and they have an abundance of flavors. I love that you can adjust the sweetness as I don't like my drinks too sweet. Staff are friendly and very fast and efficient. This place runs a tight shift. The owner has done a great job in training the employees who deliver fast and they're very consistent with the quality. You can always count on the same quality of product. I am addicted to their drinks and will keep coming back. read more

This was my experience today: I went there and found out that you must order online via their QR code. I was able to get on the website but it was my first time ordering so I didn't realize I hadn't ordered tapioca pearls for my 4 drinks. When I picked up my drinks, I told the people working inside that I mistakenly didn't order pearls and asked how I could order them. They told me that I could pay cash $1/drink for Boba as an add on. I went to my car and got cash and returned. They had 4 small plastic containers with boba in them waiting for me, I showed them that I had $10, they took out their tip jar which had multiple 5 dollar bills and tons of coins in the bottom. They looked at my $10 and told me that they only had $5 change however there were obviously many quarters (like hundreds) in the jar they were getting cash from. It was really awkward considering they didn't want to take the time to literally pick up a couple of coins to hand me so that my change would be correct. I thanked them for their time and left without the pearls. $1 isn't a lot of money and I could have just accepted the $5 change instead of $6 (I had actually planned on giving them a tip) but it was the lack of respect that I just didn't feel comfortable with. read more

I originally reviewed this place when they had their soft opening and I gave this place 3 stars. I removed the review because I wanted to give this place another shot after they've got the quality of the drinks down. The issue is that this place is always a hit or miss. It's always Inconsistent. It is a blessing to have Asian drinks in San Rafael...especially for those days you're feeling a lil hypoglycemic, but the quality of their drinks are really just subpar. Finally a great boba place opening in San Rafael, especially near school! Ordered an Okinawa Milk Tea, and flavor was great the brown sugar flavor was not strong, just enough. The drink was real smooth too. Although the boba isnt amazing its good enough, not enough of that honey chewiness but not bad. I could give negative stars if I could! Mediocre drinks with the absolute worst service! The lady that took my order looked like she hated her life and didn't want to be there. She yelled at me for looking at the menu for half a second and while I was placing order she was yelling the poor two high schoolers that worked there for some order error. I've heard many great things about this place so I decided to give it a try today. The workers were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the coffee milk tea, didn't really taste too much of the coffee itself and it kinda sucks that boba is an extra charge, so the total for my drink came out to $5 :/ I usually get my boba tea for only around $3.50 (including boba) pretty much anywhere else, and they're all about the same sizes as well. I would come back though to try another flavor, but definitely not as often as I would go to other boba tea spots. read more

Love this place! My friends and I go here way too often considering we live in Novato. My go to drinks are the honey milk tea and the strawberry tea. Drinks come fairly quickly and its a small shop so its more go in and out rather than a hangout place. They have a computer rewards system so you never have to forget your rewards card. For $00.50 there is a decent amount of boba and its pretty good. The size is pretty good too (about 16 oz i think) for the price. read more

I lived in the city and moved to Marin last year, the hardest part was not having any good boba places. I am so happy my friend told me Sharetea had another location here in San Rafael. I love this place. Two months ago was the first time I came to this location in San Rafael, I decided to try something new and I wasn't fond of the texture. The guy who took my order said I'd have to buy a whole new drink initially because he said he wasn't the one who called the shots and of course I had to respect that. But he then took pity on me and said he'd take the repercussions and gave me a new one without charging me. What a sweet guy.... Thank you to the two guys and lady who were working that day. You three were so nice and I really, really appreciate you guys for having such good customer service skills. I've been to Boba guys, Tpumps, GongCha, Chatime, etc. The Sharetea here in San Rafael has the BEST boba ever. The best milk teas by far. I always go for the classic black with 50% sweetness. Their pearls are always fresh and have the perfect texture and consistency. They never disappoint and they're all very nice. This Sharetea has got everyone best for sure. read more

I come to this sharetea at least once a week since it's opened and today I decided I had to write this review. I've experienced their rude Chinese customer service but today had to be the worst. I walked in and these two guys are standing behind the counter. They don't say anything while I'm looking at the menu and right when I'm about to order one guy walks away and the guy turns his back and starts doing something else. So the nicer guy came back over and said to the other "idk why you stand here if you're not gonna do it" and he took my order. Then the other guy who Is an idiot refused to make my drink sugar free. It is the same drink I've been getting all this time. How does it all of a sudden change to they can't change the sweetness. He said "the glucose that needs to be removed is so little there's no point". Sounds like pure laziness to me. So instead he filled my cup up with ice so it wouldn't be as sweet and I asked for light ice. Then I ordered an ice blended with the ice cream blended in and all you see is the scoop of ice cream floating in the middle of the drink. I asked "did you guys blend the ice cream in?" And idiot responses "I didn't make it" well no sh*t I watched the lady make it but when I said "you guys" I didn't actually mean "you" stupid a**. I tip every time but definitely not this time. And after coming here once a week, I will not be returning for a while. Even received a 10% off telling me to return because I haven't been in for awhile. I am glad this place is in San Rafael. Usually I have to go to the city for good boba. I've only been once so far, but it was great. A bit slow, but that is understandable. Only a couple girls were working there at the time. I think I just got unlucky when I came in behind a sizable group. The girl who took my order was really helpful and had a good personality. Finally a decent Boba place in Marin! Ordered an Okinawa pearl milk tea with less ice and it was perfect! Definitely comparable to Boba places in other parts of the Bay Area. The only downside is that it's a very small shop with extremely limited seating. Overall, pretty satisfied and excited to return for my next Boba fix! read more

I was so excited for a Boba place in San Rafael! I've tried ShareTea twice now and both times I haven't even be able to drink my tea it was so bad. Today I decided to speak up and ask them to remake my drink (it was too sweet to drink even though I asked for only "slightly-sweetened") and they said no! Bad customer service, bad tea.
