Service was unbelievably RUDE!!!! Our waitress failed to refill our coffees throughout our meal. We had to eventually ask for refills. Wrong. Shortly after finishing our meal, she had the nerve to obnoxiously ask us to leave while in midst conversation with an acquaintance while we are visiting town. We continued our table conversation. she actually came back a second time to ask us to leave! Seriously! We dine out often and have never experienced such over-the-top rudeness!!!! Horrible experience forcing us to cut our conversation and visit short. Who does that?! read more

Best breakfast in the entire 3 city area! The first morning we ate there it was really busy so we sat at the counter. Katie was our server. She was absolutely delightful and very accommodating. We had a great chat with her while we ate. The food was delicious and amply proportioned. Later in the day we were having lunch in Winter Park and asked our server where the best breakfast in the area was. With no hesitation he said Sharkey's. Then he told us a little about the owner, Katie! We ate there every morning until we left. We stayed in Winter Park and the short drive was worth it! If you want to eat healthier, try the banana split granola. read more

I order huevos rancheros EVERYWHERE I go for breakfast....like a quest to find the best! These are definitely at the top! Walking in, it's pretty small and there doesn't seem to be much organization....but they know what they're doing. Mimosas were great also! read more

I want to like this local hangout but am not convinced. I've been there a few times and won't go back...the food ranged from meh to ok, and the service was consistently unfriendly--I felt like an inconvenience rather than a customer, and I really don't like that so won't be trying them again. I know people have off days, but this was consistent each time I went there...waiting ages to order with the server actively ignoring our table, taking ages to get my food, getting an eye roll and exasperated sign from the server when I asked for something. I'm not a demanding kind of customer, I swear! Their service was wildly sub-par each time I went in. I know lots of people like this restaurant, and honestly that's why I gave it 3 stars rather than 2, in case I'm missing something (every time I've gone there). read more

The place is cute. Small. Busy. You put your name on a chalk board for the seating right as you walk in. Service is good and we got our food pretty quickly after being seated. The food however is very simple and under-seasoned. The kids pancakes had little flavor and tasted like they were made from a box mix. The jam seemed homemade and tasty. The beans came straight out of a can. And the potatoes were not seasoned at all and a little mushy. Overall though, if you are looking for a reasonably priced simple breakfast, this is the place. Fantastic food. We were in town for the weekend and went to Sharky's for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. The staff is super nice, delicious food, and cozy atmosphere. The omelets are delicious! And the pancakes are huge and fluffy. You won't be disappointed. If we ever come back, this will be the first place I visit. read more

Thus place is sliding downhill. The quality of food has been declining during out last couple of visits and today was the last straw. Very quaint breakfast place. It's super small so you will have to wait. Maybe 10 tables tops. Food was super delish. They do have gluten free items but it's not listed on the menu anywhere so just ask. It's $1 per bread substitution. Their hollandaise and green chili have gluten, so just ask for a substitution. The owner happened to be from Michigan as this was our last stop from a weekend at grand lake. He was very welcoming and gave me some Sharky's stickers to put up in GR which I will for sure do. I come here every Sunday morning and order a kids chocolate pancake. Its is so yummy and its shaped like a bear. Like come on, who can resit that? We stopped in for breakfast on the recommendation of a staff member at the Devils Thumb Ranch. We each got a breakfast burrito with the green chili sauce. The burritos were large and delicious ... one could easily be split by a couple. Service was fast and friendly. Lots of locals were stopping in for to go breakfast and knew the server by name. I feel like this is probably a local favorite. If we are ever in this area again we will definitely plan to stop for breakfast here. read more

Sharky's served the best corned beef hash and the worst pancakes, in a single visit. But the thing that got me was what happened when our waitress asked, "how is everything?" and I actually mentioned that the pancakes were dense, gummy, and inedible. The waitress poked them with a fork, pursed her lips, and left. No, "Gee, I'm sorry you didn't like them" No, "could I get you anything else?" She didn't come back, so we took our bill into the main dining room and I asked another waitress where I could pay. I asked her to remove part of the cost of the pancakes, since they were inedible. She looked at me and said, "do you always complain about everything?" I swear that's what she said. She told me the pancakes were their most popular item. Still no one asked me if I would like something else. I was reeling from the insult and I stated that I wanted some of the cost of the cakes taken off the bill; that our waitress had just left and not come back. Our waitress stepped up to the discussion and told me she thought I was just one of those who complained. I had not said any negative words up until I described my pancakes! Whatever happened to waitpeople being aware that it is the customer who keeps the business alive? What happened to common courtesy? So, she took a little off, but we paid the full amount and left. I have never encountered this kind of rudeness in a restaurant EVER. read more

I would have rounded up but the service wasn't bad just no small diner love (that warm and cozy feeling). I did feel like an outsider too. I did like the trivia pursuit cards. Sharky's Eatery had the most amazing hamburgers and the service we had was great! It was busy but we were seated immediately. They make their own bread and the hamburgers were edging towards gourmet. The service was also very good. I was impressed by this quiet find and will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.
