    Breakfast burrito and Tunisian sandwich
    Elizabeth R.

Food: 10/10 Service: 7/10 Ambiance: 8/10 With a generic name like Cafe Express, the food here really has NO BUSINESS being so delicious!!! I ordered The Tunisian tuna sandwich and the breakfast burrito, and I was deeply impressed with both! The black lentils in the burrito made for a delightfully fibrous touch, and the egg + potatoes in the tuna sandwich were a lovely a surprise too! Their name may be bland for their food. Sure isn't! Highly recommend a visit to this place. My only constructive feedback is that the service could have been better and it would have been nice to know that after 5:30, the restaurant only serves Italian dinner service.

This place is surprisingly cute inside. From the looks of it on the outside, I didn't expect much. But once you walk in, the place is really cozy and chic. I didn't get any food this visit, but all the pastries looked amazing. Service was not that friendly, but it wasn't rude either. Just didn't feel welcoming. However, what I'm really confused about are the positive reviews about the matcha latte here. It wasn't good at all. It barely had any matcha flavor and was way too sweet even though I requested not too sweet. It really just tasted like sugar and almond milk. It was so unpalatable, I sadly had to actually throw it away even after giving it several sip attempts. It was easily one of the worst three matchas I've ever had. If it's significantly worse than a Starbucks matcha (which is not that great but also not that bad, still drinkable), they're not doing something right. If the matcha latte had been average, I'd give this place 4 stars since aside from the decor, the vibe wasn't all that welcoming. However, the matcha latte was just so bad, I really can't justify 4 stars. That being said, I have a feeling the food may be good. So I'll eventually stop by again and give the food a try. Hopefully that will change my view of this place.

The Café was very busy when I visited, but the staff worked well together and kept the service efficiently moving. Interesting espresso beverage options, but I ordered a traditional cappuccino (nothing fancy). The few menu items that I was interested in were expensive IMO, so I only ordered the cappuccino. It was good. Pretty latté art. It appears to be a very popular Café. There is a covered outdoor seating area is provided as well. If I had known, I would have chosen a parking space away from the front of the Café, as the parking lot is tight and challenging to maneuver when very busy.

Food is great and it is a cute restaurant in the corner of the shopping mall giving out of country vibes! Big portions and very fresh. The omelette was great and hearty, and the lox bagel was so good! So much lox! Coffee wasn't as strong, but they had fun flavors. Must get the orange juice and the potato pastry!!! Service was great!

I had a mozzarella and pesto sandwich with tomatoes and balsamic glaze for lunch while my niece had a halvah shake. I tasted it and it was wonderful! Liquid halvah!! So good. My sandwich was delish and I loved it. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Since I dont like cheese unless it's melted, so, all those beautiful salads were not for me. I'd be happy if they had something other than eggs and cheese for protein. What about tuna? Salmon? My choices are very limited here, but, my sandwich was yummy! My caramel latte was excellent! It came to the table with a cool teddy bear made of foam on top.

The place looks cute. Food was okay. Presentation was not there. Staff was not friendly.

I've been on the hunt for healthier food options in my area since moving to this side of town and stumbled upon this spot via Yelp. I've only tried the halloumi cheese and sweet potato salad so far but I cannot recommend this salad enough. This place is worth going to just for this salad. Will be back for sure.

Cafe Express serves delicious coffee and tasty breakfast. We ordered the matcha latte, ice coffee, a breakfast croissant, and an avocado toast topped with lox. All was delicious. We were so pleased. Cafe Express has good customer service and a cute little garden right outside where you can sit and enjoy your food with guests.

I really wish I lived closer to this place! So authentic and fresh! We liked that there are vegan and vegetarian options. We got: Rose tea latte Antipasto sandwhich Breakfast burrito Pistachio croissant Potato dessert Chocolate horseshoe Everything was perfect and tasted as if it was made that morning to be served same day. Love how there are a variety of dessert options, vegetarian and healthy food options. So many choices to make! This place is pretty cozy and we enjoyed the outdoor patio area with bistro lights. The service was remarkable as well.

Hidden place, I didn't expect to be so cute inside, outside they have a cute sitting area, the guy that helped me was very nice, they have multiple options and a lot of small bakery items, I tried the avocado toast and two of their bakery items, they were so good not too sweet, and my coffee was really good too, I really like this small business I can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

We opted for a booth and ordered our food, I got the famous breakfast while my wife ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and we got 2 mimosas (pineapple and cranberry). Everything was exceptional, the skordalia dip that came with my breakfast were delicious, well seasoned, and the epi bread was fluffy and coated in crunchy sesame seeds. The hollandaise that came on the Benedict was perfect, not too salty, and it complimented the rest of the Benedict perfectly. After enjoying our food for a bit, a group sat next to us consisting of 2 women and 2 very young toddlers. I knew it was going to be bad by the way the toddler wandered around the few tables across the aisle, ultimately blocking our server from bringing us our food for a bit. The baby then began to scream its head off and did not stop as the ladies tried to quiet it down. I did not say anything to them as I know it is an embarrassing situation to be in to have a stranger critique your parenting style. We finished up the meal (the baby was still screaming at this point) and when our server noticed we had been giving each other That Look™, she came back and the first thing she said was "I'm so sorry about that," and offered to move us to the enclosed dining area to enjoy our dessert and escape the ruckus. The manager then offered us 2 more mimosas as an apology for being sat next to a loud table. Overall, the food was delicious, the was atmosphere nice, and the staff did a wonderful job controlling a situation without humiliating the guests who had caused it. One thing of note is that, as I'm sure this is meant to be a more casual dining experience, you should not be expecting super fast service. This is a place to enjoy the breeze and freshly prepared food, so there is more of a relaxed attitude. If you're into that and aren't in a rush to leave, I would absolutely recommend this cafe.

Even with a busy crowd, orders were moving quickly, which I appreciated. The space itself is also a plus: a decent number of tables, plenty of parking, and even games like Jenga to keep you entertained while waiting. We tried a variety of items: the Marsh Brûlée Waffle, Banana Brûlée Crepe, Crème Brûlée Crepe, and a Nutella crepe with Oreo crumbs. The crème brûlée elements were actually the highlight--they were generous and had that nice caramelized sweetness you'd expect. That said, the crepes and waffle themselves didn't quite hit the mark. The crepes were thicker than expected and lacked that light, delicate texture that really makes a crepe shine. The waffle was similarly underwhelming. Another small detail--the graham cracker crumble was very chunky, which threw off the texture a bit; a finer crumble would've blended better. Overall, while the service and atmosphere were solid, the desserts themselves didn't fully deliver. With a few tweaks to texture and balance, this spot could be much stronger.

On August 14th, around 8:10 AM, that day finally came, and I'm glad I stopped. The atmosphere immediately worked for me. It has that comfortable neighborhood café feel, with the newspaper-style menus giving the place some personality instead of feeling like another generic breakfast spot. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, the clientele was pleasant, and my server, Elaina, was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and handled every question I had without making anything feel rushed. For breakfast, I kept things simple and ordered an egg sandwich on a toasted everything bagel with an over-easy egg, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Nothing overly complicated, just a solid breakfast sandwich done well. My guest went with an egg sandwich on a toasted onion bagel with an over-medium egg and American cheese. For drinks, I tried the Broadway, their raspberry latte with white chocolate, and had mine made with oat milk. That combination sounded interesting enough to get my attention, and it ended up being really enjoyable. Sweet, creamy, different, and definitely something I would order again. But the surprise star of the entire visit was the pistachio cream cheese. Apparently it was one of their specialty or featured cream cheeses, and I am very glad I asked about it. Rich, creamy, unmistakably pistachio, and they were not stingy with the portion either. I was spreading that stuff on every piece of bagel I could find. If it is available when you visit, ASK FOR IT. Overall, this was just a really pleasant breakfast experience. Nothing needed to be extravagant. The service was good, the food hit the spot, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I found a couple of things I'd absolutely come back for. I can't say what their intentions were, but based on how both of us were treated, I left feeling like people who look like us were not welcome. Whether that was intentional or not, that was my experience, and I won't be returning. Thank you for reaching out. My visit was on July 31, 2026, at approximately 9:45 a.m. I was waiting for a prescription at another business nearby and decided to walk over to The Bagel Cafe for the first time. When I walked in, another Black gentleman was already standing at the counter waiting to order. We were not together. After standing there for a bit, I asked him if anyone had taken his order, and he told me no. Employees were walking back and forth behind the counter, but neither of us was acknowledged. Had someone simply said, "We'll be right with you," I would have understood and waited. Instead, we were left standing there without any acknowledgment. I finally asked, "Can we place our order, please?" and was told, "Just a minute." At that point, I decided to leave. I can't speak to anyone's intentions. I can only tell you what I experienced. I left feeling unwelcome. As a first-time customer, I did not feel that my business was valued or that my money was wanted there. Whether that was intentional or not, that was the impression I left with, and since this was my first visit, it was also my only impression of The Bagel Cafe.

I have a girlfriend who works in the building and I have reason to stop in with her most Fridays to have lunch and visit. This cafe has been a bit of a work in progress since it opened on menu options, staffing, etc., thus my delay until writing a review until now. I wanted to understand the groove a bit. It gets 4 stars vs 5 simply for maybe the identity crisis that it was sorting through for a bit. With that being said, the menu has indeed changed from what it once was, but this streamlining I think has made this place a better easy quality value to the customers it serves. Every single item I have ever had has been prepared fresh on the spot and is really quite good. Salads, sandwiches, soup and now all day breakfast (LOVE THIS!) is what the menu is about. You order and pay at a counter and they will bring you your food when it is prepared...on real plates if you are eating in! Today I had a Caesar salad and asked for two over-hard fried eggs on top. Not a problem, they are eager to please with the tweaks and preferences I sometimes make. Two Caesar salads prepared with fresh greens and one with two eggs on top came to like $14. I find that an incredibly value for the portion size and quality. They have indoor and outdoor seating (with covered umbellas when sunny if you wish) and the ambiance is casual and easy. Although I am failing to know any of the names of the staff, everyone is always so nice, welcoming, kind and proud of their "little engine that could" establishment. They make me feel like they appreciate my business. So maybe not the spot one would go out of their way to visit, but if you are in the area, I would absolutely tell you to come visit. Open for breakfast and lunch and such a nice little unexpected spot.

Plenty of parking when we went, between 3p - 4p not exactly prime time although at 110°F anywhere seems like a mission. We were seated right away. We waited like 10 minutes for a server. Whatever it was weird hours. The prices are pretty steep but well worth it to be honest. I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and it was really good, had just the right amount of sausage. The portion was perfect too, not overbearing or stingy. The dining room is a wide-open area, you can see the bar in front and the kitchen in the back, I like an open concept. Will be returning for drinks, looks like a chic spot to enjoy some premium alcohol and get a buzz on.

Our server was amazing, attentive, friendly, and easily the best part of the night. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, although it does get pretty loud when the restaurant is busy. We shared several appetizers and most were excellent. The arancini and burrata salad were both great. The zucchini chips tasted good, but the portion was surprisingly small and they were very greasy and oily. I ordered the Bolognese with zucchini and pumpkin noodles, trying to be a little healthier. It was good and plated beautifully, but it wasn't very filling. My wife had the braised short rib Marsala, which looked great, and everyone else at the table seemed to really enjoy their meals as well. Across the board, the presentation was very nice. The biggest downside was the wait for our entrées. It took roughly 30 to 40 minutes for the food to arrive, which felt long, especially considering the prices are on the higher side. I finished with a double shot of espresso, which was nicely presented with a lemon peel and sugar cubes. I also didn't realize until recently that North Italia is now owned by The Cheesecake Factory. Overall, good food, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere, but the long wait, higher prices, and a couple of underwhelming items keep it at 3 stars for us.
