This was my second visit to Shayna's Nails. This visit was totally different from my previous visit which was exceptional. My appointment was scheduled for 12p with Tracy. When I arrived, she was with another customer. While waiting, another tech removed polish from only one of my nails. After waiting over 20 minutes without any updates or status from Tracy, I eventually left. Appointments should be honored. If a nail tech is behind schedule, at least let the customer know and keep them informed about the status of their appointment. read more

Went here because of the reviews, I had the worst pedicure, but my daughter said she liked her dip manicure. I had an older lady, my daughter had a young girl, so it will depend on who you get, I don't think my stuff was sanitized like someone else said, did not com out of a fresh package, all the ladies were super nice, I added a picture of the pedicure, I did not go back or complain because I was headed on a trip the next morning, but I would not go back for a pedicure. read more

This was my go to nail place when I lived in the area! I was lucky enough to have Tracy the first time I visited -- she is amazing!! She can literally do any design I show her. The place is clean and I liked that they had the TV on as well. They also had wifi available. I did take one star off, only because I felt like even with an appointment, I still had to wait a while, they are always busy! I suggest coming in the morning on a weekday. read more

I'm in so much pain... I went in yesterday afternoon and got a pedicure and gel manicure. First of all, they do not use sterilized tools. I made a comment about it and and the tech said "look clean, clean" as she doused the cuticle trimmers with acetone. I said no. So she got a package but you could tell it was not sealed. Also the files had been used multiple times. I almost kicked the tech in the face because she was aggressively cutting the cuticles around my toenails and she cut something that made me recoil and I said OUCH. I told her not to cut anymore. My nails look very nice and the prices can't be beat, BUT my left big toe is now throbbing and red around the toenail and I'm praying I did not get an infection. It's a shame because I came here New Year's Eve and I had someone else who did a fabulous job (don't know how I overlooked the uncleanliness at the time). read more

I have been coming for years and today was the last time unfortunately. Plan to wait 30-40 minutes or more with an appt. It took about four hours for a regular pedi and a dip manicure. The last two times within 24-48 hours at least 1-3 of my dip nails pops completely off. read more

First time here with my 13 year old. I got dip nails and a pedi and she got acrylics and a pedi. There was a bit of a wait even tho we made appointments BUT Anna made up for that. They were incredible with my daughter. So kind and always lighthearted and fun. Nails turned out great as did the pedicure. First pedicure in Ahwatukee and decided to go to Shayna's because of the positive reviews and great prices! We were very pleased! The nail salon is very large and clean and we were able to get in right away. The nail techs were very friendly and very thorough. The spa pedicure included a sugar scrub and hot stones which a lot of places charge extra for. They did a long massage with warm lotion! So relaxing! They treat my mom who is in a wheelchair like a celebrity when I bring her in to get a pedicure every few months. We moved out of Ahwatukee to East Mesa 5 years ago, but I bring her to Shayna's because nowhere else treats us so well or does nearly as good of a job. When we come in, everyone know our names and seem genuinely happy to see us. I would recommend making an appointment, because they are popular! read more

Tracie did a great job on my nails overall, dispute some shaping issues and inconsistencies. The pricing is very fair although i was charged an extra $5 length fee that i didn't really deem to be necessary. They also have gel dip powder but I noticed that mine started to chip or crack only a few days after going. So I don't know if I would pay to get the dip if this happens to you. Great nail salon. I was very happy on how clean they were with everything! Handing out masks, wiping everything thing you touch down with sanitizer wipes, Lots of hand washing. This was previously my favorite nail salon, close to my house and did a great job. I've recommended this place to several people. After my experience yesterday, I will NEVER be back and will tell everyone I know not to go either! My appt was at 10am, as I sat there at least 5 other people came saying they had appointments at 10 as well. No problem, so I thought. 30 MIN go by and I'm still waiting, yet a girl that came AFTER me with an appt at 10am, same as me, has already begun getting get nails done! WHAT?! 45 MIN go by and I am sat at a booth.... 11am, 15 MIN LATER, and someone finally starts wrapping my gel nails to soak them off, very sloppily having acetone run down my hands. With a very weak and, what I feel, meaningless apology for the wait. It didn't get better... I show a design I want to the nail tech before she wrapped my nails and was told I need to find those colors because she doesn't have time... after I waited 1 hr past my appointment time, this is laughable at this point. But all the salons are booked and unless I want to wait another week I have to stay and hopefully get them done. A different nail tech starts on my pedicure, meanwhile my fingers are still wrapped in foil, soaking in acetone for now. About 30 min in, she's halfway thru, only to find out there was a miscommunication and I didn't get the pedicure I requested. Meanwhile, nails and fingers still soaking... Another 20 min go by and I remove the foils because my fingertips are soooo dried out from the acetone and soaking for 50 minutes... 10 min later she's almost done and realized I took the foil off. She says something in Chinese to the original tech that wrapped my fingers and she runs over to start scraping the gel off one hand and my pedicure girl is doing the same to the other hand (apparently you aren't supposed to remove those foils without them or the gel hardens back up quickly). The original girl who wrapped my nails is sloppily scraping the gel, scraping my cuticles and fingers too!!!! The other nail tech is doing great on the other hand and I am hoping she does my manicure also... To my determent, she had another appointment and I am stuck with the girl being sloppy and hurting me. I was told to move to the desk now for my manicure. In the meantime, the pedicure girl never wiped the cream off of my legs with the hot towel and they were sticky for hours until I could get home to a shower!!!!!!! Now it's 12:30pm, appointment was at 10am and I only have a pedicure done at this point. Make the story short, I got out of there at 2pm! My nails are different shapes and lengths, one was broken so she put a tip on and didn't shape it like the rest, another one was torn so she layered it with acrylic! OMG. I've had torn and broken nails before, went to other shops and had stellar results, like Fashion Nails in Ahwatukee. That's where I should have gone and will from now on. You should go to Fashion Nails for good results too. YES, I was made to pay full price, no discount for waiting an hour and poor service. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! read more
