I've been taking my car to Sheen's Auto care for several years. Today, I had this funny noise when I turned my air-conditioning on, it sounded like something was terribly wrong. Sean called me back after looking at my car, and said there was a leaf stuck, the tech easily took it out and the noise is now gone. My family and I have been going to Sheen's auto care for over a decade and used to receive excellent service. However, our most recent encounter with them will be our last. My mother had a fender bender on her bumper and took it in to the shop as usual. For whatever reason, it was a very poor repair job this time and the trunk of the car didn't align or close properly and the paint didn't match the rest of the car. We were surprised the car looked so poorly repaired this time and asked why the color of the repairs didn't match the rest of the car, since they had stated how expensive it is to buy the exact color for Lexus vehicles in the past. Then we noticed that the trunk wasn't closing properly and was crooked and that not only was it not properly installed, they had replaced the rubber on one side of the inner lining with a much thinner, flimsier piece. We addressed it with the man at the front desk, Sean, who quickly lost his temper. Without even looking at the vehicle, he screamed at my elderly mother and claimed that no car will ever look perfect after being repaired considering it has been in a "major accident". I would hardly say that a fender bender is a major accident but I digress. He then proceeded to walk over to the vehicle and started slamming it with his hands to try and close the trunk properly. It didn't close since it was crooked but he continued to slam the car repeatedly like a lunatic. I know times are tough after covid but this was strange, insane behavior. None of the employees bothered to stop him from screaming or hitting the car and he continued to talk down to my mother. It was to the point where spit was flying out of his mouth and his face was turning red because he was just determined to let out all the obscenities he could think of. I don't really think any conversation warrants such disgusting behavior towards their customers but after notifying the owner, he did not seem to care at all so perhaps this is just how they do business now? My mother is a senior citizen, handicapped, and weighs a mere 102 pounds. An adult man yelling at a frail older woman shouldn't be dealt with lightly but none of the employees or owner cared. Considering the quality of the repairs are poor and the customer service is nonexistent, I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

Body Shop Repair was PERFECT. My wife spoke with Sean for an estimate. Sean did not dumb down the conversation, treated her with respect and answered all her questions. The estimate for repairs on a 2017 Infiniti QX70 was very fair. When we dropped off the car, Sean marked every spot on the car with a highlight pen to ensure we all agreed on the totality of the repairs. This was a fantastic method of clear communications. The car was repaired on time, for exactly the amount of the estimate. It was returned cleaned, shined, and in better condition than delivered for repairs. Untruthful, or at least inaccurate in their inspection, although their price seems to be competitive. Took my car in for a smoke check, battery replacement and inspection, and they claimed that the ABS module was down and needed to be fixed right away at theirs. I did not trust them and took my car to the dealership, there was no problem at all after battery replacement. Their lower price comes with a reason. read more

Sheens took our appointment for pre-sale inspection on short notice and was very reasonably priced ($100 less than what dealer quoted for same service). Sean and Joel were both extremely nice and informative. They found that the car battery was low and the possible cause of an ABS module error reading. Sean generously offered to re-inspect the car at no additional cost once the battery was replaced to see if the error disappeared. All of this was explained very clearly to us and the seller. At no time did Sean or Joel say the battery or ABS module needed to be replaced/repaired by them. In fact, both of them said a Mazda dealer would have to determine what the error code meant since they were unfamiliar with the details. The seller stated that once the battery was replaced at the dealership, the ABS error was resolved - EXACTLY what Sean said might happen. Have taken my Volvo there for repairs and service. Have always left happy. I may have paid a touch more than shops closer to my residence but I know the guys at Sheens will back up their work. Case in point. Heater core went out and I didn't feel like getting the inside of the car all mucked up a second time so I took in to the shop. Dropped off in the morning and got a call around noon saying they were done. A week goes by, I'm in Chula Vista on a Saturday morning and the core decides to blow up. AAA will only cover towing for a set amount of miles and they are outside the coverage. Sheen's covers the cost of the tow, orders the part ( warranty ) and has me back on the road again Monday afternoon.Sadly, that core blows approximately one week later as well. this time I'm closer to the shop and AAA makes the tow. Same case. Part ordered and car done by noon. Turns out the batch of heater cores coming from the manufacturer was defective. All of this was done with no extra charges for labor or materials. They have since done my PCV system and timing belt. Highly recommend this establishment! read more

Tom was able to help me out with an extensive project that involved repairing the wiring to the O2 sensor, and installing a new catalytic converter. I really value their service because they use OEM parts, will use parts you bring in (though these do not have the warranty offered from the parts they provide, which is more than fair) and to receive what I feel is dealership-worthy maintenance for less than dealership price is a win-win! This is the only place I will take my cars from here on out (I have two Fords). My wife has had negative experiences with nearly every mechanic she's ever encountered. She took her car here by chance (because of a AAA tow) and immediately felt comfortable with Sean and how he goes about business. We both appreciate his expertise (he fixed issues on my car that 3 other mechanics could not) and his ability to communicate the issue when we don't know much about cars.
