After that, he snatch the paperwork off my dad and stepmoms car after they waited for service and told them to go somewhere else to get service. What does that sound like to you? Have used that place for years, getting worse and now can not use again, they used wrong size wrench to take out the drain plug, is partially striped now, my truck started leaking oil after last change, was loose filter, tightened myself and the leak stopped, they will skip many steps if you don't get up to the glass and watch, then when you do that they stare at you like you are bothering them. Have a help wanted sign in front of store, maybe they will find some takers. read more

I took my vehicle for the 1st oil change here. The older white man was pissed I wouldn't sign the paper stating I can't get a refund or services after I sign it. I said I want to check my car 1st, he got mad and said I have things to do and tried to grad the paper out of my hand. Anyways they over filled my oil and made a huge mess everywhere. There's oil all over the ground and inside the hood. He did try and clean it up before I seen it. But the point is. Treat people how you want to be treated and do your job the way you're supposed to. Called the company, poor customer service tone as if I was bothering him, let it go still went there was next In line, the guy comes out, absolutely no positive customer service attitude, looks at my milage and pops the hood, he can't open then hood, he looks at me and says, there a trick to this? If this guy can't open a simple hood how is he going to change my oil. So I closed the hood and said I need to go. Went back because my normal mechanic (napa) couldn't get me in for an oil change. Now I remember why I haven't been back here since my first review a couple years ago. Upsell for unneeded services and their sales pitch has that used car salesman feel to it. The manager or whoever was helping me (not the service tech) was pretty arrogant and had a strange attitude for someone in the customer service business. When I got there they asked me the year and other info of my car and I mentioned that my car takes one more quart of oil than most cars; his reply was a very condescending "yeah, we know all that already." To top it off he wouldn't accept my 20% off oil change coupon, even though it's valid until 2014 he said he "doesn't like dealing with that." I don't recommend this place at all. There are two other shops in town that are much better. read more

If I could give negative rating I would love to. My girlfriend took her car in and was told $67.99 for a synthetic oil change on her vw beetle. After all was done the "manager" charges $95. Never communicates anything additional that needs to be done or asks if she wants it replaced. Always pay $70 for the same thing at the Jiffy Lube in Tempe. Avoid this place like the plague and hopefully they will shut down ASAP. read more

Went here the day before Christmas simply for the convenience of being able to get in and out in a timely manner and ready for a road trip. I also hoped that I could avoid the common "up-sell" tactics employed by all the other shops (you need this or that) given that this place being solely focused on oil changes - I was wrong. The Tech said that I needed to replace my air filter and transmission fluid. I had just had the car's transmission inspected 3-days prior by a highly reputable shop and they said it was all good and didn't need anything even though I asked them several times about changing out the fluid. I told the tech that I just had it inspected and I would pass on the additional services. He seemed a little put off that I would not want him to do these additional items and gave a little "attitude" about it but they went on to change the oil and filter. Once done, they brought the car around and we went in to pay. .."that will be $51" the tech explained..."for an oil change and filter?" I asked. He said "yes, that car has a special filter on it" he explained. I went on to tell him how I can get it done at the dealer cheaper than that plus any one of the local shops will do it for between $19 and $24...even with the high tech filter! He said "yeah, but you have to wait around all day for them to do it". So, I guess Shell Rapid Lube charges a $30 convenience fee for their service! I learned several things with this experience 1) don't wait until the day before your road trip to service your car - take the time to go to a real shop with people you know and trust (or DIY). 2) get the price up front - I would have NEVER paid that price had it been disclosed to me initially and 3) Shell Rapid Lube is a rip off! read more

Believe me, if there was a better alternative in Maricopa all customers would go there. I usually get my oil changed in Chandler because I would rather give money to their economy than to this place. read more
