No other HVAC technician I've ever worked with before has done that. A/C maintenance went great too. First company I've ever hired that didn't try to sell me an entirely new unit just due to a faulty capacitor. Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). I'll be using them for as long as they give great service!

They said they could try to do a repair for about $1.3k but that they couldn't guarantee the repair would be effective because of the condenser. They then tried to sell me on their highest end heat-pump for about $24k, which was too much for our needs, since our furnace was also functional. We ended up choosing a basic AC replacement for around $9k. They were able to install the new unit two days later. However, on the day of the install, they saw some surface level rust on the furnace heat exchanger and tried to get me to replace it for an additional $4k. When I said no, they backed off and recommended a CO alarm (which we already have). It felt like I was being heavily taken advantage of because I was in a dire situation. The installation went fine, but my experience of being pressured and hard sold to during the process made it feel like I was being milked for every penny they could get out of me. Take this as a precaution to check your HVAC AC/furnace/heat pump regularly, and get multiple quotes before deciding on work. If you go with this company, they will seemingly do an effective job, but they will try their best to get as much money out of you as possible.

I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Stay away from this business! My entire cooling and heating system was left in an inoperable state…read more I called for a diagnostic of the air conditioner today because cool air isn't coming from the vents. I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!

My furnace was blowing cold when I awoke, so I called several HVAC companies and no one was…read moreavailable for days on an 11 degree day. I contacted EconoTemp and they told me they could have a technician to my house by noon. Perfect. Tavares arrive soon after noon and immediately started the trouble shooting. I needed an igniter, and the overheat protection switch was stuck in overheat. He was able to fix that switch without replacing it, and diagnosed a failing blower motor capacitor, which might have been causing the blower motor to not move the heat out efficiently. In the end, I had a great functioning furnace for less than I anticipated. EconoTemp was friendly, prompt, and extremely competent. I fully recommend them!

(From what I understand, while they used to be called Econo Temp, they recently were purchased/merged with First Care Heating & Air, and their HVAC techs seems to still be the same experienced techs which were from Econo Temp). In any event, their HVAC service professional--Paul Petrakovitz--came over the same day to fix our heating/cooling issue. I found him to be honest and forthright about the issue and cost involved. The pricing was reasonable (under $300 for everything), and he had enough time to do a seasonal maintenance & cleaning of our outdoor AC unit (he washed out all of the cottonwood in the unit), performed cooling maintenance for the main system, & checked all of the wiring and controls. I was happy with the service and will call them again.

Petr was responsive to my inquiry via Yelp and Jason, the plumber who came out was such a nice guy and he did a great job with swapping out and re-sealing the pit lid. The first sump pump that was installed unfortunately had an issue with the lighted plug but they came back out to replace it so it's all good now. I highly recommend Jason to anyone looking for a plumber - he's really one of the nicest plumbers I've met and he'd clearly and patiently answer any questions you may have. Their quote was also competitive. I'd definitely be calling them in the future for my plumbing needs! P.S. if you're unable to reach them at their phone/office number, try messaging them via Yelp. I didn't really have much luck when calling their number but they're always responsive via Yelp/text and would call you back as well.
