He's out here operating with a suspended license, stiffing the demo crew who tore out our flooring, and leaving us with a destroyed home and a half‑finished job. His installer barely got 10% done before the entire crew disappeared without a single word. I've tried calling. I've tried emailing. I even showed up at the local office -- all I got were pathetic excuses and zero accountability. The demo company and I have already filed complaints with the contractors board and the financing company because this man thinks he can just take people's money and run. How does a grown man blatantly steal, lie through his teeth, and operate with zero integrity? Every response he posts to negative reviews is defensive, rude, and dripping with shady behavior. He cannot be trusted. Nothing he says is real. And I have the documentation to back every bit of this up. I wish I had dug deeper before hiring him. If I can stop even one person from getting screwed the way we did, then at least this disaster serves a purpose.

Thankfully, our daughter, who happens to be a FIDM graduate, accompanied us on this outing and was a huge help in narrowing down our choices. She has a superb design eye and worked well with the Emser rep. The staff was very friendly and we had the good fortune of having Krista help us. First, we tackled the kitchen design. We opted for shaker cabinets in a blue/gray color, quartz countertops, porcelain wood look flooring, and a geometric grayish backsplash that looked like jewelry. Then they installed a solid waterproof barrier, poured a new concrete floor, repaired drywall and it is good as new. That was last month. This week, Joe Martin send his plumbing pros, Ed Ahumada, Jon & Romero to figure out a complex boondoggle which has been wasting gallons of water before hot water emerges. They are working as I write but I have complete confidence based on past experience with MasterCraft that the work will be correctly performed. Front start to finish, Mike Gast and Juan Navarro worked with me to translate my vision into the bright open studio I have been dreaming of... As the project manager, Mike Gast was extremely patient and accommodating, and provided lots of feedback to solve various issues. This was a large project that involved removing the garage door, retrofitting 3 sets of doors, framing and finishing for a custom look, inside and out. They even installed special thresholds so we could be assured of being able to roll equipment in and out of the space easily. After each stage of the job, the crew cleaned up the area and removed all debris. The price quoted us initially was in line with competitors, better than several, who failed to follow up with us. There was no cost-creep, and we finished at the price quoted us. Progress and payment was tracked on their online job project site, which was an added benefit and inspired confidence. I can highly recommend Mastercraft and hope to use them in the near future for several other home improvement projects.
