So I'll be honest. We got takeout from here primarily because it was one of the few places that were open on Thanksgiving. We actually tried to order from 2 other restaurants before hitting Thanksgiving jackpot with Sher-e! Much like any Thanksgiving meal we were quite stuffed by the time we were done and I definitely needed to nap off all those good eats. We shared the mushroom chicken, chicken biriyani, mixed vegetables and some naan. It was all very securely packaged for takeout in a mix of white paper box (Plain basmati rice) and round plastic containers for the curries and biriyani. The naan was wrapped in paper and foil. I loved the seasonings and spices in each dish. We requested it mild spice and I felt they delivered just the right amount. It was still a little spicy but just a subtle little hint of it in each entree. The white rice was soft and fluffy and while the biriyani was good flavor wise, I thought the rice was just a tad overcooked. The naan itself was a little unevenly cooked as one piece was still a little doughy in the center but had black charred bits in the thinner parts of the bread. Seems like the oven it was cooked in was too hot perhaps? Portions were plentiful and it was enough to satisfy 2 adults and one toddler with leftovers to spare. I have been eyeing this place for like years. More like low key stalking. I finally found the gumption to go for lunch with my husband and my word. My obsession was well worth it. First and foremost the restaurant was super clean. It had this real modern player to it, and I really appreciated the Desi hip hop. The menu was extensive. We finally settled on the Tikka masala, and an eggplant vegetarian plate as well as two samosas. This samosas came out piping hot; fried to perfection!! I straight up burnt my mouth on my first bit but I pushed through the taste was that good. The Tikka masala was rich with a really nice creamy consistency. I felt like the eggplant dish was a star of our meal. I am normally nervous to order without a main protein but I was so glad I did! It was bursting with flavor! Oh did I also mention we had a set of garlic nan? SO GOOD. We had leftovers, but we were stuffed. I ate all of it the next day. EVEN THE RICE WAS FIRE. Fluffy and delicious. Worst service I've ever experienced. Moment we walked in the door the host body scanned us. Sit down at the table minutes later a server comes up and says "what do you guys want". I took my 15 yr old daughter here for the first time in years. it used to be her favorite restaurant.the food was as good as we remembered. unfortunately the server was very unpleasant. at first we thought maybe she was having a bad day, but we soon realized that she was very pleasant to the white couples at the tables around us, and consistently, and only, dismissively rude to us, specifically to my daughter who is darker skinned than I am. once we realized this she was heartbroken while I was angry. she smiled as nice and sweetly as she could while we were there but once we left she burst into tears. First time dining here. The interior is fairly nice and the waitstaff was nice. I got the lamb tikka masala and I enjoyed it. Portion size for the price was not bad. I personally wish they gave a little bit more rice but no big deal just made some extra what I got home. The lamb was quite tender and the flavor overall was pretty good. It's been described as when you pull out all stops for the dish, including putting a good amount of butter in instead of trying to cut it back during daily home cooked meals. Loved the vegetarian offerings so much that I went to dinner at the restaurant two nights ago. I had the very flavorful Mango Talli drink. Mmm! Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and finished the whole dish with rice in one sitting. Best ever. Garlic Naan disappeared fast too. The servers were right on it with such pleasing smiles and service. Staff was friendly. We ordered chicken tikka masala with medium heat. It was pretty spicy & I'm a girl who loves alot of spice & heat! Beware if you are sensitive to heat. You'd want to order carefully, as i found their medium to be very spicy! Also ordered raita, aloo goobi, palak paneer, naan, & a mango lassi. The palak paneer was just ok. The spinach didn't taste quite right to me. It almost had an old bitter taste. Nothing horrible, but i would not order it again. Aloo goobi was good, naan was very good, and my mango lassi was average, too. Overall, it was a average-good meal. For now, I'll continue my hunt for Tucson's best Indian. read more

The family meal here is such a good value and the food is so good! For just $60, it comes with so many dishes and sauces that can feed more than 4 people easily. It came with veggie samosa, chicken tandoori, lamb Korma, chicken tikka masala, briyani, raita yogurt, and naan. With $4 extra, you can swap out the regular naan for garlic naan!! The tandoori chicken was really tender and flavorful. The two curries were perfectly spiced with good taste. I really liked the raita yogurt with the green sauced mixed together and dipped with the warm samosas. The briyani was sort of bland but good with the curries. The mango lassi had such good texture, it was tart but not too sour, the yogurt and mango taste was really good mixed together. The dining room is humungous they were able to seat us immediately around 6 and soon after the dinner crowd came rushing in. The service was very attentive and friendly. Gahhhdamn this place is bussin. I've been coming here since I was 8 years old and it's still pretty much the same flavors. The food is fire, but also would recommend being careful of which spice level you order or you will be on fire. I do think the dal could be more flavorful, but it's still good. Absolutely the worst dining experience I've ever had. As an Indian who knows authentic food, I can confidently say this is NOT it. The food was incredibly bland and boring--some of the dishes were so tasteless, we couldn't even tell what we were eating. On top of that, the service was downright horrible. We walked in and were immediately rushed to order, being told the kitchen was closing in 3 minutes, even though we had just sat down. When the food finally came out, less than 20 minutes later, they started closing up and rushing us to finish eating. The server literally came up and ordered us to pay right then, even though we hadn't finished our meal. We tried to pack up our food to go, but they were like sharks circling our table, grabbing things before we were done. They even took a plate of veggies we hadn't touched yet! Good Indian food with a variety of drink selection. Ambiance - Lots of seating, spacious, has a bar and buffet area for the lunch buffets. There were also a couple of large tvs/projectors playing various sports. My husband was very entertained by the one playing cricket. Service - Was a bit slow at times, but they were pretty packed and had a lot of to-go orders. The menu was in a hardcover book format which was super cool to see.
