Good food, good service, friendly staff. Arrived around 7:30 on a Friday night, so the place was starting to get a crowd. Had a group of four people and they sat us right away. We requested to sit outside at the upper patio which was nice on a nice night. They had a large group up there, but the waitress still attended to our table in a reasonable amount of time. She told us the specials, I had asked about getting fried pickles (which is a bar item and severed after 9 pm), but the waitress didn't know, and she went and asked and then let me know that they didn't serve them right then (I appreciated her asking). Food was good (shepherds pie, Cajun shrimp boxty, fish n chips, and Santa Fe chicken). Our drinks were attended to, and the manager stopped by and asked about our food and service. Overall I think it was a nice experience. I would go again. read more

I was very pleased with my first visit. As soon as I walked in the door, (Friday at noon), I was greeted with a warm, friendly welcome. I was 5 mins early waiting on my party of six others to arrive-we didn't have reservations. I was seated promptly as tables and chairs were quickly arranged. The staff was friendly and attentive, they got the orders right. The food prices were reasonable, and delicious. I ordered the chicken pot pie, which was delicious. I plan on going back. read more

Good shepherd's pie. Hearty and enormous. Tasted a boxty, which I had never even heard of it...it was a potato pancake (I think?) Interesting. But also enormous...too much...food. Good variety of beer on tap. Plenty big. Live music! Not many options in Smyrna, so this is a good one! read more

My wife and I were driving from the Delaware beaches back to Philly, and we needed to watch a world cup soccer game live on TV. We searched the internet for a sports bar/ restaurant along our route, and chose Sheridan's. It was better than expected. At 3 in the afternoon there were few people in the restaurant (no surprise). The bartender was chatty and fun. The TVs were good. The soups were delicious. The interior decor is very nice. Outside on the uncrowded streets of downtown Smyrna, I got a parking ticket (not sure why??) but that is no fault of the restaurant. We'll go back to Sheridan's again. Highly recommended. read more

I've been to Sheridan's quite a few times over the years, and I can easily say it's my favorite sit-down place in Smyrna. A great Irish pub should have a few things, classy decor that doesn't overdo it, a large selection of alcohol, and of course great food. I've had a variety of meals from this restaurant, and every single one of them have been excellent. Strangely enough their cheese steak tends to be my favorite, with great rolls, great seasoned meat, topped with melted cheddar. Probably the best non-Philly-style cheese steak I've had. Most "Irish pubs" don't even serve boxtys, but this place does it and makes them amazing with their own house sauces. The shepherd's pie is bang on. There's just too much to say about the food- it's great, and it's not expensive at all. On the other hand, their alcohol can be a tad pricey. As for the other aspects, there's little to complain about there either. It might be difficult to find parking on a particularly crowded night, but downtown Smyrna isn't overflowing on most weekends and it's not hard to find parking real close by. The alcohol selection has everything you'd want, they certainly know how to pour a Guinness and as a fan of Redbreast I like they have that in stock. Overall, a trip to Sheridan's is always a great time, and if you find yourself in the area it's a delicious detour at a true small-town restaurant. read more

I've been going to Sheridan's for a while because I love their wings, and it's one of my favorite places in town to take my girlfriend on a date night, but today the service was poor enough I had to say something. They're always slow, but today two tables that were not reserved and were seated after us were served ahead of us and the only reason I can tell for why is they were older customers and we were a young couple, and I'm not sure when we will be comfortable returning. I don't know that I can recommend this establishment to other young people either, as we're clearly not the priority there. read more

Overall service of the waitress was lacking and the manager in duty was extremely rude. Delicious Irish Pub! Went there with a friend, excellent service and good food, including dishes we had not seen at other Irish restaurants. Got the cabbage roll appetizer - tasty fresh cabbage rolled around corned beef, served on half a baked potato, topped with Dijon sauce. I got the Boxty beef pancake dish with salad as entree and my friend got the shepherd pie. The pie was good as expected, baked with right amount of crispness in the mashed potatoes. The Boxty was something I had never had before, a bit like a stew topped with a pancake, but not sweet, very good flavor, salad also fresh. Got the rice pudding desert - you could have it chilled or warmed, we had it warmed, also good flavor and had some pieces of strawberry in it. Overall excellent. Good presentation for simple tea too. Would go back! Had a dining area, and bar for watching sports, many couples eating together at the bar too, watching some football, but not so loud to bother us at a table and not interested in sports. Lots of cool looking metal mugs, if you get tap, that could be fun. read more

The food was mediocre at best - chicken parm was burnt on the bottom $ the pasta it was served over was in canned sauce & completely tasteless... fish & chips sounds like it should be a winner - no it isn't. Fries are just awful - Fish looks & taste like it's from Sysco... the pre-dinner house salads were not fresh & none of the salad dressing is homemade. It's a shame a local institution has to rely on half prepared food from a mass food supplier for the bulk of their menu. My family and I stopped at Sheridan's on the way to The Painted Stave. Friendly service, good food and a decent selection of beer. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was meaty, tender and lightly breaded and fried. Pubs often over-bread fish. This was definitely not the case at Sheridan's. The fries were nothing special but was barely noticed since there was such a large portion of fish to finish. The family liked their food choices.
