I just left this store. My painter sent me here to pick a stain for our new kitchen cabinets. I brought in a picture of what I'm looking for, as inspiration. The girl who was at the counter told me that she can only help me choose a stain color if I brought in the exact kitchen cabinet sample. So to reiterate, I asked "so in order to receive any help in choosing a color, you want me to go to this person's house and take off a cabinet door?" She bluntly responded, "Yes." I was taken back.... So I asked if I can speak with someone else and she responded "No, I am the manager." My painter is their customer and he recommended them stating they'll help me choose a stain color... I'm shocked at this customer service... and coming from a manager...???? She is was soooooo rude. I've read other reviews for this location and there seems to be a pattern. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

TOO BAD THERE ARE NO NEGATIVE STARS to select. Went to this store in Clackamas a couple times (just because they are close) they never have enough in stock. The last time that I went in was the final time I'm ever going again... I came in to return a few new/unused/NIB items (not paint) and they denied my return and told me I had to go to the same SW store I got it from since it's store policy. Having to go across town, I went to return at the other SW store and mentioned what happened and they apologized for my experience and notified me this shouldn't had happened. We can return any items purchased as long as it's less than 30 days at any SW store. I'm very disappointed that SW would allow an employee (it was a manager(?), unsure of her name) to misrepresent them and lie to any customer. Your team needs to be more consistent! SW is one of the best brand IMO. I will continue buying their products but I will stop going to this specific store. I recommend others to save your trip to Clackamas to head to Division or Woodstock instead. read more

Sherwin-Williams has been our favorite go-to store for paint and supplies for years - until today - that is. Today we brought in a phone image of a hex code color to try to match it as close as possible. Before I could finish my sentence the person at the desk interrupted me to tell me they do not match hex codes and colors on my phone would not match the actual hex code color. I explained to her that I understood her point and asked if she was willing to bring the hex code color up on her computer so we could get a close match. She attempted to type the website I gave her, but after typing the website incorrectly she mocked me - suggesting there was no such site. I asked her if I could type it myself, because I noted a typo and then located the color. The manager then stepped in to indicate, for what was a fourth time, that they could not match hex codes. I asked whether they could attempt a match of a printed document, and they remained stuck in the idea that the colored object I was referring to, whether on the phone or via a printed image, came from a hex code. They offered to find an existing color on their sample wall but consistently asserted there was NO WAY to closely match a hex code to an actual paint color. Pause here to note that every color of Sherwin-Williams paint has a hex code. We tried to explain our request in several ways and were repeatedly interrupted with "no." Frankly, they were just rude. Their brains got stuck on the words "hex code" and they could not problem solve. Both young, I wondered how they were not technologically savvy enough to figure out a solution. So, we left and went directly to the local Lowe's where the employees in the Clackamas store, Abigail and Daylin, happily worked to match the color. Guess how they did it? With Sherwin-Williams own hex code conversion website. They then confirmed that color using QConv.com, which provided a 99% match using the hex code number we provided. Lowe's employees were fun, engaging, and saw our need as an interesting challenge. We left with the PERFECT color that matched our hex code. The Sherwin-Williams employee and manager at this store looked for every possible reason NOT to help. If the woman who reported being the manager is the manager (Jade), someone should provide some customer service training for her. If she is the person setting the example for the other store employees, that is a problem. Huge fail Sherwin-Williams. Huge FAIL. read more

I always work with the Woodburn location. They are so nice and helpful. I've never been to this store, but recently had some paint purchased through this store with our account that was not authorized. The customer service here is horrible. The person I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude and actually yelled at me. My husband had me cancel our account with Sherwin Williams after this call and we will take our business elsewhere. I realize that there is a paint shortage, but that is not justification for someone using our account to purchase paint, that is theft. We are also in the construction industry and deal with shortages on a daily basis. Go to the Woodburn store if you are needing paint or supplies. They will happily help you and are amazing to work with. read more

I went into this Sherwin-Williams location to purchase paint for our new home last summer and could not believe the language that was being used in the store. Not only was the manager cursing to his employees (not realizing I was inside the store) about the situation in between calls he was complaining about another store who was looking for paint to fill a large order and refused to do so! Once someone realized I was in the store they attempted to smooth it over. I ended up going to Home Depot to fill my$1300 paint order. Thankfully they were able to match the colors I chose at Sherwin-Williams. I decided to try Sherwin-Williams again this past month but this time I went to the Milwaukie location. What a wonderful difference!! I wish I could remember the lady who helped me because she was awesome! I will definitely come back to this location! read more

Can't say enough great things about sales fella "Kenny" at this location!!! WOW! Talk about the perfect retail salesman! We had a pretty negative salesperson experience at the Lake Oswego Sherwin-WIlliams, so took our business over to the 82nd store and all was redeemed thanks to Kenny! He was super knowledgeable, attentive, quick & courteous-- even insisting he help us carry a few of our bags out to the car. If Kenny is not a manager already, he should be-- and no, I am not is mother-- LOL! Kudos to Kenny! read more

I recommend everyone to buy in this shop. There is absolutely everything you need for your project, and their products are very high quality. Tested on personal experience! Some of my friends thought it was "expensive" store, but taking into account the sales and using coupons, prices are affordable. Furthermore, the quality of the paint, for example, allows one cover layer, which greatly reduces its consumption. One more thing appeals to me - it is a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Maybe I'm lucky, but I have visited this shop on different occasions for three years, and every time I was served at the highest level. read more

If I could put negative stars in, I would give it to this location. This is the result of extremely poor customer service from an employee who is busy and doesn't want to take the time to explain anything to a customer. This, after I had called the store ahead of time to order a gallon of paint and had given my paint color to the person on the phone, who never bothered to check that was a color that they were even aware of, and then to have a second employee make me feel like a total idiot in the store because, despite the person on the phone who acted like he knew what I was talking about, apparently I should have been aware of this. How was I to know, as a non paint expert, that the color was not Sherwin Williams? Shouldn't the person on the phone had said that? And then to have the employee in the store get so angry and rude to their customer, it just shows a complete lack of customer service. I will not be using the store location again. read more

I would give zeros stars if it was possible. I brought in a paint chip from a wall in my mother-in-laws house for them to match. The clerk was rude, but we needed the paint. He scanned the chip, took my credit card, name and phone number, and said the paint would be ready in about 2 hours and he would call us. It was 1:30pm. We did not receive a call that day or the next. We finally called the store about 5:00 the next day. The person who answered the phone said he had no paperwork with my name on it. He asked me to describe the associate who helped me and at first said that there was no one at the store matching that description. I asked what happened to my paint chip which was not easy to collect. After putting me on hold for over 5 minutes to supposedly look for it, he said that he didn't have it anywhere in the store. Then he said that this wasn't the first time that that associate had "lost an order". So, I have to start over and try to get another paint sample off the wall. I will NEVER go to this store ever again for any reason. read more

I completely agree with the other post if I could give negative starsI would. I came in to buy 1 gallon of paint. After talking with the store manager, he convinced me that the Sherman Williams paint called Emerald was just as good if not better then Benjamin Moore. So I bought an additional 2 gallons and they matchedthe Benjamin Moore color. Upon getting home I began painting with the original color I came to purchase. This paint has only covered one 10 foot wall and ive used the entire gallon. The store manager suggested I might be able to paint the entire room with 1 gallon because of how good the paint is. I was so frustrated now knowing I will have to buy an additional 3 gallons to paint this one room that I attempted to return the additional 2 gallons that I bought. I was greeted by a sales rep who I believe her name was sky and he was rude and argumentative. I now have to return to the store a different day and speak with the store manager in hopes of getting a refund. Do not go to this location read more
