Chicken ramen
Trav H.

Not bad ramen joint. Prices are a little high for ramen imo. Server was very polite. I got the chicken ramen. Chicken tasted dry, but soup flavor was great. I like the tall ceilings, and good music. They are offering a free drink to leave a review. I was going to leave one anyways because I always do, but know that they offer compensation for leaving one.

My order with the broccoli, cabbage & bamboo. You can see the rice and sesame seeds as well.

We went the other night, and it was my first time eating at a ramen restaurant. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with the menu, though maybe my expectations didn't quite match how ramen places typically work. We both ordered the kids' ramen. I added broccoli, cabbage, and garlic to mine. When it came out, the meat was really fatty, so I didn't end up eating any of it--which honestly made me question the whole dish. I found some other things in the broth and had to ask what they were (turned out to be bamboo). I also asked about a creamy-looking blob in the bowl--it was garlic, but not the kind I expected. It was more like something squeezed from a bottle, not grilled or chopped cloves like I had imagined. And the dark bits on the rice? I think they were sesame seeds. I know these questions probably sound silly, but since I'd never had ramen before, I needed to know what I was eating. In the end, neither of us could finish our meals--my son was full, and I just couldn't eat any more. We also got two orders of gyoza, but I barely touched the second one. I think I maxed out on the food (similar to what happened when I maxed out on PBJ sandwiches in K). I'm starting to realize ramen might not be my thing, but I had really hoped I'd be wowed by it.

Gluten Gluten-Free Ramen

I had the gluten free ramen and it was delicious. My daughter ordered the chicken ramen and fried squid, and she loved it! Thank you!

Located in downtown Kent area. Restaurant has about 16 tables and some bar seating area. Simple open setup. Friendly and prompt service. We have ordered some ramen. Both of the broth is very salty. Ramen, meat and soft boiled eggs are good. Hope they can adjust the saltiness of the broth.

I love this place so much! They have the best ramen and food. I have been coming here for a long time, and the servers are very nice. The service is excellent, and you can hear music that creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

I've been wanting to come here for a long time. Today was colder summer day here in the PNW and a perfect for a bowl of ramen. Upon entering you notice lots of tables and it's clean. The customer service was great. The waitress was super sweet. The food was delicious. Everything is fresh and tasted great. This will be our new ramen spot. This restaurant is located near other restaurants and a movie theater in Kent station. This is a MUST try, you won't regret it.

I had the Tonkotsu Shoyu & Takoyaki. My Sister & Niece had the Miso Tonkotsu, Veggie Ramen & Shrimp Tempura. The food was okay. I like the Takoyaki a lot that was delish. Service was great and ambience is very relax.

Just ok

I want to like this place but after 4 times eating here I have decided I dont want to come here again. Okonomiyaki is not fresh, you can tell by the shape and texture when you start eating it, but I also asked the waitress if they make it themselves and she said no. I bet that'll be the same case for the dumplings, and geso, maybe the kaarage too. My ramen broth wasn't really hot, it was warm. Idk there's so many ramen restaurants in the area I wouldn't spend money here again.

The place was cool, the food was not cool! compare to Arashi Ramen Southcenter. The noodle is not ramen noodle, and the broth is less taste

We ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, Spicy Negi Ramen (level 4 hot), an order of Gyoza, and an appetizer order of Karaage Chicken. Both of our Ramen bowls were absolutely delicious!! I'm used to eating very authentic Ramen when I lived in San Diego so this was a first for being in this area. It was a great portion size, beautiful presentation and everything tasted so good. I think the egg could've been cooked a little bit less so it would be not so well done so to speak, but it was delicious still. Also, the chicken appetizer was a good, but not as flavorful as some Karaage Chicken I have had. I probably wouldn't order that one again even though it was good, just lacked flavor and was a bit grisly. The service was outstanding. They are very kind and very attentive. The place is very clean. The bathrooms are nicely stocked and very clean as well. The lobby is beautiful and we will definitely be back!

The ramen tasted great but not impressive or memorable enough for me to drive all the way back to Federal Way. I dined in solo and actually didn't finish the ramen or even remember exactly what I ordered. I'm guessing it's the spicy negi. The broth was spicy and enjoyable but definitely didn't taste any different compared to other ramen places I've been to. I tend to eat slow to savor my food, but I felt like the staff was overattentive and frequently stopped by my table to ask if everything was okay. Gave me the vibe that they needed to keep themselves busy or I was taking up a table. Might be great for other customers but it affected my experience with dining in; I usually finish my meals at restaurants but I felt rushed so I just ended up bringing the ramen home for my son, after the second or third time of them asking me if I wanted a takeout box. I'm still giving 4 stars just because the ramen tasted better than mediocre, less than spectacular. I just have high expectations for ramen and prefer more broth/topping variety (I was raised in Cali with options i dearly miss). Plus, I do like that they added a full egg for the ramen (instead of half an egg, like other restaurants I've been to) and the chasu portions were fair. I haven't tried any other ramen places in Federal Way (if there are any), but I guess if this is one of the better options (according to Yelp), it might be worth a shot to try out?

For the sushi, the tropical roll had a nice addition of mango, but the sweet chili sauce was a little too sweet for my preference, especially for a sushi roll. The Pacific Garden roll had fresh-tasting yellowtail, salmon, and tuna, and I enjoyed the crunch from the asparagus. However, one of my pet peeves is when menus list crab or crab salad in a roll, but it ends up being imitation crab/krab. I really wish restaurants were more straightforward about what they're using, especially because I enjoy real crab, but am not a big fan of imitation crab in sushi rolls. This restaurant used the words crab salad and I thought it meant that they still used real crab in it. The rainbow roll and edamame were just alright. The gyoza was also disappointing because it wasn't crispy and didn't have much flavor. Presentation was another thing that fell a little short for me. I wasn't impressed with the plating, especially with the random pieces of greens on the plate. Overall, the sushi and sashimi had some fresh components(the highlight), but there were a few things that missed the mark for me. Service was just okay and nothing particularly stood out.

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.
