As far as I am concerned, customer service, patience, cleanliness and professionalism are the most important qualities in any business! So, if you want to be treated like a number on an assembly line then find THAT kind of shop. But, if you are looking for pampering and patience go to this nail shop. I see Nicole and I have gone back twice more, since. I enjoy the time she takes to do a great job and she helps me decide on what to do next. I love it! Yes, I pay a little more but it is worth it to me. You get what you pay for. My gels lasted 2.5 weeks and were still shiny and no chips! I was looking for a much needed pedicure while in Santa Cruz for business. I called and got in immediately with Nichole. She was very friendly and that made me feel comfortable. When I walked in, I was surprised that they didn't have massage chairs like I was used to. It did have a cool Santa Cruz vibe, I was surprised at the cost as well. I usually pay $25. Nicole was very sweet and took time to fix my 8 ingrown nails. She provided quality service. She even made me a coffee and the overall experience was excellent . I gave 4 stars only because their chairs are uncomfortable..I give Nicole 5 ++++ stars. I highly recommend. She also gives a great foot massage..I will be back. read more

COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!! $70 for a basic mani and pedi. Nothing fancy. No parafin wax, no expensive creams. Just a chair and bucket of sappy water. Shame on me for not asking how much ahead of time, but seriously? The shop is nothing fancy, in fact trash was over flowing in the rear area. No salon spa chairs. Everyone was very nice, but overpriced for the services you get. I go to Tracy's Nails usually and they provide more thorough faster much more affordably priced services. Martha is a nice woman but she took a year and a day to do my nails and they peeled up the same day. And, the pedicure was up on this high chair with a bucket of water for my feet....This wasn't really the main problem. The main issue was that I was told that the colors I picked didn't match my skin and I shouldn't wear nudes and pinks because of my (darker) skin tone. I apparently also shouldn't have french tips on my toes. Lots of unsolicited advice. Very nice people, but a little too much advice for a relaxing day at the salon. I'll go back to Tracy's nails where they are fast and don't tell me I look bad in every color I choose. read more

Not accepting new clients, was the answer I got when I walked in the door. SO SO RUDE. I would have rated a -0- put Yelp needed a rating. I never go service. I found this salon on Yelp with great reviews. Well these people giving reviews must have already been clients of the Salon. When I walked in one day, wanting to schedule an appointment this is what happened. Me : " HELLO" Nail Lady: ( I never got her name ) " Can I help you ?" With a What are you doing her look on her face. Me: Yes I wanted a new set" Nail Lady " I don't have time today." Said nothing else. RUDE. I then say " it doesn't have to be today. Your next aviable would be fine." Why, am the one being accomidating. Only that wasn't good enought to get an appointment. Nail Lady says: " UM, Im really busy," with no other answer. Again RUDE. I say " is anyone in the salon taking new clients?" Thinking that the ablity to have new clients would be applying. BUT STILL NO. Nail Lady " I am not taking new clients and neither is______ Stated someone esles name. " Then I hear from the Back room. "Give her Jaysmes card. " REALLY yelling from the back room. I guess no one wants new business at Nails 2 Envy because the business card for the Lady they gave me no longer works there. The lack of customer service was mind blowing. Why is the customer the one trying to be flexiable. I never got my nails done here and I would never recomend anyone to their salon. Very RUDE and not accepting new clients. I would have been a good client too. I get my nail done every two weeks, and I have a daughter who likes to get her nail painted. I am definitely a girl on a budget, so I'm used to doing my own nails at home. I hadn't had a proper, professional manicure in years. Once my nails grew long enough, I made an appointment at Nails 2 Envy. The price was right ($20 for a regular, $25 for a gel), the service I received over the phone was great, and it only got better from there. I showed up about ten minutes early for my scheduled appointment and was seated at a station on time (which is something I have yet to experience with any other appointment-based services). Kate was the one who I had an appointment with. Sweetest woman you could imagine. She takes her time with the shaping and gives an awesome hand/arm massage before the polishing begins. It was also refreshing to have a good conversation throughout the process. She was very helpful with answering any questions I had about the difference between gel and regular polish, how to keep my nails looking good between visits, where to get her amazing massage cream, etc. I am going to a wedding in August and wanted a quote for a manicure I had a picture of from a magazine. The only woman who does nail art there was going to be out of town during that time, but said she had recommendations for other people I could go to. However, she talked to another woman who works in the salon and said she would have her practice the manicure and see if she felt comfortable doing it with gel. I thought this was super sweet. The fact that they would take the time to make sure they had specific colors of gel just for that job and practice it ahead of time seemed like great customer service! I felt so special! I originally did't want to get them polished because the work I do usually just chips of the paint but she convinced me to try their gel polish and the stuff is amazing!
