A review from an Asian visiting from SoCal/OC:…read more This is for anyone but also uniquely targeted to Asians and those new to Hawaiian food. If you have been seeking to quench your longing (or curiosity) for asian flavors, this place is for you. My family ordered chicken katsu, short rib, and spam musubi. Things you take for granted that Kona nailed: rice, Mac salad, cabbage, katsu/teriyaki sauces. Katsu and short ribs were on point. My toddlers gobbled both of their musubis. My fellow Asian will have their souls relieved. The newcomer will have their taste buds awakened. Do support this business! Nothing wrong with "asian fusion" that blends the traditional with local flavors/preferences, but there's nothing like the taste of home. Thank you Kona!

Decided to get…read moretakeout here since we were staying down the road and it was less than an hr until their closing time. Clean place, got greeted by the cashier as we approached. Some diners were eating inside, so it wasn't completely dead. Food came out after 10-ish mins or so, but it was given to us by the cashier already packaged! We ordered the Hawaiian plate and the chicken/beef combo plate. We'd been to Kona Hawaiian BBQ at other cities before, so we knew what to expect. It tasted the same as the other locations -- everything was good! It even had more veggies than I remember so that was a plus! We had big pieces of broccoli and the meats were on top of steamed cabbage. It was exactly what we needed! The plates come with 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. This place always hits when we visit a location!

Very good poke bowl! My husband and I love poke so finding this place while in Colorado was nice…read more The customer service is not really there but food was good. The prices are good compared to home but a lot of things are extra but it's not indicated on the menu so that was a bummer to keep hearing "this is extra". So after adding the things we usually get it ended up being about the same price as our hometown.

Very disappointing customer service…read more I stopped by Honolulu Poke to pick up lunch, and while I was there, the restaurant lost power. The manager mentioned that this has happened more than five times and that sometimes it can take hours for the power to come back on. There were only two customers in line, and instead of simply comping the meals or finding a reasonable way to take care of the customers, we were expected to wait around for the power to return. In my case, I was actually told that I needed to place my order online instead. I understand that power outages can happen and are sometimes completely out of a business's control. What is within their control is how they treat customers when something goes wrong. In this situation, the customer service was poor and there was very little effort to make an inconvenient situation right. Unfortunately, this experience left a really bad impression and was not the kind of service I would expect from them.

There is some seating inside or out, but it seems to be more of a takeout vibe. I really enjoyed my custom poke bowl. All the ingredients were fresh and I enjoyed the variety of options. Tell me why they don't have edamame, crispy tempura, crispy onions, like without crispy things u might as well order some mash potato slop because it's gonna be squishy as hell. Also the way they cut their cucumbers don't expect small crispy bites it's soggy too. Their sauces are bomb I respect the sauce but dam they are never fully stocked it's a shame. Every time I try to order food from here they're missing ingredients last time it was literal salmon I legit had to tell my man to walk out of the store I was so frustrated and am very hangry now lol idk where to get good poke someone please help me!!!! PS went to Rocky fin it was also TERRIBLE the public needs to know the truth about these places and the quality and consistency of ingredients. I understand supply chain issues but not having edamame for a poke bowl restaurant is insane go to a grocery store at least for ur product, my managers would go to Whole Foods when we ran out of product and did mark outs maybe u should try that
