Don't Bother. Having to worry about customs and cost and everything else that can go wrong with shipping your vehicle overseas is enough. To minimize these frustrations use another shipping service. When you email for a quote and the information they are giving you contradicts the most basic information on their site or quote page then that is the first sign that there will complications. You read the website in hopes that you are getting as much information as possible to absorb, to insure you comprehend enough to do your part. When you get your quote and happen to have questions, you will find the answer they give you contradict some of what you thought you knew from their website and their quote document. Then, when you reiterate where you got your conflicting information from; their quote, they simply repeat their email version over, to circumvent the quote or website version. So either take new notes or move on. If not you have to worry, if something goes wrong, who to blame. A good business is in line with its marketing material and customer. I sent my car from Boston to Spain. 1. 0 help when it arrived. They redirected me to the offloading company and they were 0 helpful about what process I should follow to offload it. 2. Did not purchase marine insurance as the price was too steep for the car it was. It was not damaged in the exterior but the interior had been clearly used and there were boot footprints all over the upholstery and the plates and other minor things that I left in the car were gone. I reached out to the commercial that sold me the transport and he literally told me: "nothing I can do since you didn't purchase any insurance". I was trying to ship my vehicle to PR and this was my third company that I contacted to obtain a quote and it was the only that gives me the hope that the car can be shipped before July 7th (date I will travel). I called the rep 3 different times, asking the same question, "the vehicle can be shipped before that date" and her response was affirmative. I made the payment and then everything changed. (game changer) I was instructed to send an email to request an appointment date which I did. I received a reply asking me to contact Crowley because my request was not activated. Then I had to contact Crowley to have my request activated. ( not part of the deal) Then email the Port Authority and asked for my appointment again. (not part of the deal, this was supposed to be a 1x email, not 2x) Then I received a confirmation email with my appointment date a week after I travel (July 13th). That alters my schedule completely.... (not part of the deal) My point is that, my experience with this company was not good, because they don't tell you all the truth. They missed points. Worst Experience Ever, Total Cluster Shipped my Corvette from Germany to USA. Delivery was 77 days AFTER the estimated delivery date(EDD 16 Dec21- delivered 3Mar22). Why? Because they forgot to load the car on the ship in Germany!!! Told me the car had cleared customs and was being scheduled for delivery then was told, oops we forgot to send the car with the paperwork, our bad. Then they had to mail the keys back and reschedule another ship. Then charged me $140.00 for storage in Germany because they forgot to put the car on the ship, which they would not give back. Charged my credit card twice for the shipping cost and took 2 weeks and several emails and phone calls to get a refund on one of the charges. Received the car covered in dirt and pollen with an empty fuel tank and an additional 5 kilometers on the odometer. You needed to drive my car around, why? So the folks who are complaining about incurring destination charges clearly haven't done their homework. No hassle on my end. Vehicle delivered to UAE from USA safe and sound. Called them several times before shipping. They answered all questions. Don't expect overly friendly customer service. They are concise, to the point and get stuff done. They have all the necessary licenses which I had checked before booking. Great info on the website with an exhaustive FAQ. They must be spending a fortune on advertising cause their post appears at the top in online search results. They basically appoint someone else to forward your vehicle. But everything gets done as expected. I would ship with them again. Removing one star because I think they could do a bit more to help shippers with info on destination and clearing agents. The destination agent appointed by Shipoverseas (Emirates Logistics) was only responsible for de-stuffing and getting me the delivery order. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! DO NOT USE! I paid $2,350 to have my car shipped from Germany to Texas. At the time of payment, I explained to the individuals working at ship overseas that I was a military member who was getting ready for a deployment rotation. I was assured that would not be an issue. I wired them 2350 and they were supposed to bring my car to Texas. After my car arrived Ship Overseas acted like they could not find my wire transaction. I submitted my bank statements and a confirmation letter from my bank confirming the wire went through. I had the wire reversed and the money credited back to my account (after being directed to by the company) and now they want 2350 plus an additional 3,000 dollars for storage fees!!! My car accrued those fees because they couldn't find my payment and would not release my car to me (even though I provided them everything they asked for). I would highly suggest that you stay away from this company. They shipped a car for me to Costa Rica. The car arrived safe and sound, but the original title that was required to be included was sent BY THEM via FedEx to Nigeria! It was subsequently lost and never found. The car was stuck in the port for two weeks incurring $200 in storage fees. Also, because the government had to have the original title to register the car, they would not register it without paying an extra $500 payoff to someone who managed to "fix" the problem and get a CR title. I was instructed by my credit card company to file a claim through FedEx who was hired by Ship Overseas to handle the paperwork. I did that and they sent Ship Overseas a check (with my name on it) where it was cashed by them! They refused to pay me back anything! The company only provided partial service.
