Appreciate the support for LGBTQ 2. Appreciate the idea of "plant based" food 3. Nice atmosphere The cons: 1. The 12 oz cup of tea and the 16 oz cup of latte were served in the 12 oz mugs. We paid for a 16 oz latte. 2. Early Grey was of poor quality. Not much flavor. 3. The scones tasted ok, but not like true traditional scones. I presume it is because they are plant based. 4. Shortly after eating a sundried tomato scone I started feeling nauseated and developed a headache which lasted for several hours after. I do not have food allergies, I do though react poorly to heavily processed food. Knowing my body very well this makes me wonder about the quality of ingredients used. Plant based food is a very noble idea and is better for health and environment when in its natural form (olive oil, veggies, whole grains, etc.), but unfortunately some products are often very heavily processed (plant based butter, cheese, etc.). I have no idea what those scones were made of. I will not eat other scones after this experience. 5. I took a bite of hubby's panini. It had an unpleasant aftertaste. 6. We paid for 3 scones. The cashier gave us only two. I thought that the third one would be brought out shortly with the rest of the order so I let the cashier to attend to the line behind us. When the 3rd scone wasn't brought out I approached the counter to ask about it. Another person that was standing there asked me if I paid for it.......Seeing so much suspicion on their face I told the person that I would like to wait for the cashier to see if she would remember me placing an order. To which that person responded - I believe you......This was not a pleasant experience and this is not sound customer service if you ask me. Instead of taking responsibility and checking their system, they made me feel like I was trying to get free food. A professional business should always prioritize making the customer feel heard and valued, rather than putting them on the defensive. The OK: Coffee was just ok. I personally wouldn't come back for it. Overall this is not my cup of tea. I wouldn't come back.

I was surprised to see that I had not posted a review before. Today, my check-in earned me a YELP Duke badge (most frequent customer who uses YELP). Whenever we go, it's breakfast time for us. Very generous portions. The hash browns are always done to a perfect "crispness". The wheat toast is nearly a meal in itself. Thank goodness some items are offered as half orders!!. We've had many good experiences here. Easy in and out. good parking, prompt and friendly service Today was an anomaly (I hope) in that the service was painfully slow. I love this place!! Aaron and Ronnnie Sue are excellent owners and a pleasure to get to know. They literally have THE BEST omelets in town. I build my own (sausage, onion, cheddar cheese). That's all it takes. A little hot sauce with some cottage cheese on the side and there you have it. The Midas touch. The difference is quality sausage, care to wrap the omelet correctly and crispy sausage and onions sprinkled on top. Take that Denny's!!!! They also filter their drinking water with a new, quality filtration system and yes you can taste the difference. Let's support our hometown hero's and stop in. Learned of the Shipwreck Cafe on Groupon and decided to give it a try. Went in for lunch and definately will come back. Service was excellent and so was the food. They have a large menu and a really good variety of breakfast and sides as well. This was great for me because I wanted a waffle. A big waffle with butter and syrup.... Plus to try something more adventurous. They brought us out a sweet cornbread with I think Marion Berry butter. So so good. I ordered the Beechers brisket hash and the side waffle. Chris ordered the strawberry agave mimosa and the BBB. Food came out within 10 minutes and was hot and smelled Devine. Look at the photos. I mean, what else needs to be said? Everything, every single thing was phenomenal. There was no weak dish. Hashbrowns were cooked to perfection, brisket melted in your mouth. The hollandaise sauce plentiful and delicious. The waffle was huge. They actually asked how I wanted my eggs and listened! Best over hard eggs! I love that the syrup is on the table because I covered that waffle in syrup and when they give you those little mini things of syrup it kills the vibe. So River of delicious maple syrup aplenty, I do appreciate the little containers of butter as I can't be trusted with butter and waffles I'd have gained 20 pounds from the butter alone. The food was so good I forgot we did eventually have to pay the check. But when it came my flabbers were gasted. $60 for 2 very large breakfasts, a side waffle that wasn't a side at all it was huge Belgium waffle a mimosa and the 3pound $14 by itself fyi cinnamon roll. We took probably half our food home and had dinner and breakfast the next day. It was tons of food. I even joked to my Husband that I might not leave this review because I don't wanna make it busier than it is so we could keep it quiet so we could come back all the time. Loved Pat's Café for Years -- It's Not the Same Under New Owners…read more Pat's Café was one of my absolute go-to spots for years -- I've been going since around 2005-2006. My mom, grandmother, and I all had our favorites there, especially the stir-fry beef dish and the classic corned beef hash the original owners served straight from the can (cooked just right). It felt like a reliable neighborhood restaurant with solid, consistent American-style dishes. Since the new owners took over, the consistency and quality have slipped badly. Dishes now come out differently almost every time. The Pad Thai toppings are sometimes mixed on top, sometimes served on the side like an afterthought, and extras appear or disappear randomly. It was noticeable but not a deal-breaker on its own. On one visit I ordered the country fried steak. There was a fairly large, hard piece of plastic in the meat. I bit down on it hard enough that it could have easily cut my gums or mouth if I hadn't noticed. I showed it to the server, and the only response I got was that they buy the country fried steaks from a vendor, so it wasn't something they made in-house. No apology, no offer to remake the dish, no discount -- nothing. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and returned for another meal. That next visit (or the one shortly after) became the final straw. I ordered the green curry. Eggplant is a major ingredient that adds essential flavor and texture to every bite -- right alongside your choice of protein (chicken, beef, etc.). I ate several bites before realizing there was none in the entire dish. When I mentioned it, the waitress simply said they had run out. They never disclosed the missing ingredient when I ordered or before serving the dish, and they didn't offer any adjustment, remake, discount, or comp. They just served an incomplete meal and charged full price. The lack of basic customer service on both visits was shocking and felt disrespectful. Finding a foreign object in your food should at minimum get a sincere apology and an offer to make it right. When a key ingredient is missing, the restaurant should let you know upfront so you can decide whether to order something else. On top of that, beloved items have disappeared or changed for the worse. The stir-fry beef my family loved is gone from the menu. The original corned beef hash was replaced with an in-house shredded version that just isn't as good. The place even seems to be going by a second name now (Phuket Thai) alongside Pat's Café, which adds to the confusion. I'm really sad about this because I genuinely loved the old Pat's. The new version just doesn't feel like the same welcoming neighborhood spot anymore. If you never knew the original, you might still find some decent meals, but for longtime fans, the changes -- and especially how both of these situations were handled -- make it hard to recommend. I've stopped going and am now looking for a new regular place. Hope the owners read this and consider bringing back more consistency, better food safety practices, and better communication when ingredients run out.

The biscuit is certainly on par and what one would hope for. My other half got the Chicken Fried Steak, which was great. This also allowed me to try the gravy that they use for the biscuits and gravy, I would certainly consider getting this next time. It is one of my favorite breakfast foods. For the side on the Chicken Fried Steak, he got a pancake, which another way we judge the quality of this kind of establishment. It was good, one of the better ones I have had recently. Not over-whipped and fluffy. Coffee is standard diner fare and they kept it coming as one would expect. I would certainly be interested in trying them for lunch and dinner some time!

GETTING THERE At first, we didn't realize this place is inside of a Toyota dealership. It's maybe about 5 min from the I-5 exit. It's extremely easy to get to and easy to find. Literally find the dealership with 100 Toyota cars and trucks parked outside haha PARKING Parking availability is just like any dealership. There wasn't a designated spot for the restaurant, but there was a huge gravel/dirt lot just on the outskirts of the main lot. We parked there since we had a trailer with a car on it. Its maybe about a minute walk to the main building where the restaurant was at. AMBIANCE/SERVICE It was 4th of July and the front had maybe 8-10 salesmen all lined up to greet customers. It was a little intimidating when we walked up since we weren't looking to buy a car, but the one closest to us understood we weren't interested and he helped direct us to the restaurant. Not much for ambiance. It is just like any other dealership. No special decor. Just a few lounge chairs, massage chairs, TV, and a brand new 2026 Toyota Tacoma parked next to the dining area for you to look at. The counter where you order at is fairly small. You just walk up, order, they give you a number, then you just grab a seat somewhere. There have limited seating near the counter, but you can opt out to sit at the tables by the front window where the display vehicles are. The staff was friendly and the food didn't take long to arrive. FOOD I ordered the breakfast pizza. I've had breakfast pizzas before, but this one is a little different. It comes with a biscuit crust instead of a typical pizza dough. Then it's topped with normal breakfast toppings like bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, and 2 fried eggs. The eggs aren't scrambled and mixed into all the fixings like others I've had, but I didn't mind this. This also had sausage gravy which I don't typically see on a breakfast pizza, but I enjoyed it. The gravy and the eggs helped balance out the saltiness of everything else. I enjoyed this version of a breakfast pizza with the biscuit crust, but it was a little too heavy for one person. I ended up sharing about half of it. I can definitely finish it, but I won't be moving for a while. The coffee was pretty standard. I also wasn't wanting anything too fancy, so it was exactly what I needed. OVERALL I enjoyed this place and I would come back. At the time, I didn't realize it was the same business as the location in Lakewood, which I've ordered from in the past on DoorDash. I've been meaning to check it out in person. But despite it being in a dealership, I'd say this place is still a good place to check out if you need a quick stop off the freeway.

We always schedule our car service in…read morethe morning so we can get breakfast at Biscuit House (inside the dealership) I always get the cinnamon French toast (with fresh strawberries and blueberries! Yum!) my husband isn't as predictable, and this time he had the Spanish omelet. He said it was delicious, made with Chorizo sausage, Tomato, Green Onion, and Pepper Jack Cheese. Topped with Salsa. He also ordered country gravy on his hashbrowns. The omelets also include a fresh baked biscuit. If you are not up for a full breakfast, they also have a lighter-side menu, or delicious scones. Standard drip coffee or hot tea are complimentary. Over the years they have become quite popular, keeping busy not only with Toyota employees and customers, but also locals and you will see food delivery drivers picking up to-go orders. Usually our meal arrives in a timely manner (in fact, our typical comment is 'oh wow! That was quick!) but today it took 40 minutes to get our food. It was a Monday morning, order was placed at 10:32 and delivered to the table at 11:12.
