After speaking to the staff at lunch they said the owners treat them extremely well and take good care of their people! We also stayed at the Heights Hotel which was so comfortable and relaxing! We were seated inside by the host and no one ever came to greet us so we went outside. Unfortunately we experienced the same outside. Definitely needed a busser to clean up plates, it looked pretty messy on Sunday. I had to go up to the bar to order everything. Kiki was an amazing bartender. She's so sweet, even with all the volume, I noticed she was on top of everything. In conclusion. The outside seating seems to be a spot to just drink and walk up to the bar if someone like Kiki is working the bar. To order food sitting in the very front of the restaurant seemed unattainable. However, when we went up to the bartenders to see if they could help us, and they were luckily able to accommodate us and get a table inside! I went out Dec 21st with a friend for a pleasant dinner. We had been at Shipwrecked several times and the food and service were always perfect. This night we learned the menu had changed and not for the better. We were out for some fresh fish, clams or scalps, not on the menu. We both ordered fish and chips. Cons: steamers not cleaned properly / at all. I should have said something but we were hungry and I didn't. I've never in my life seem this much sand etc in steamers. This is one of my favorite spots but tonight was honestly one of the worst experiences. I was sitting at the bar, as I was by myself (husband is working), and I was watching the Boston baseball game. I was eating the baked cod entree and the male bartender walked up and changed the tv I was watching. I said, "I was watching that." He said, "sorry." We stayed near this restaurant and were looking for lunch by the beach so we gave it a try. We were seated outside within 5 minutes of arrival and it was right after noon on a Sunday. There are 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids, age 8 and 11). We were greeted immediately by a friendly waitress and we got water and some simple beverages. The second round we got the kids a frozen lemonade and a virgin strawberry daiquiri. The drinks were delicious! A lot of other tables ordered Pina coladas and mudslides...it looked delicious! We put in an app of heaping nachos while we looked at the menu. It arrived and the portion was HUGE! We then had a bowl of clam chowder, the Ship-fil-a, the fish burger with fries, and the fish tacos with sweet potato fries. Everything arrived and was fresh and delicious. The burgers were HUGE! While the food was great, the staff seems to be a little less attentive. They left a lot of empty cups and plates on our table as they tried to pile our main course onto the small table. They kept adding refills in new cups but didn't take away the empty ones... They were respectful and nice so I'd definitely be back again. Maybe we'll order takeouts next time . read more

Food not very good. Front of the house staff awful - they need to replace front desk. They keep you waiting and there are empty tables everywhere and plenty of table staff. Kids running around the entire place makes it very unpleasant. Noisy and crowded, especially near entrance. If there was ever an emergency, you would never get out! read more

Our friends invited us to a night out and suggested Shipwrecked. They are bar regulars and when we walked in and there were 4 seats available at the bar they suggested we should take them and I am so glad they did! See my husband and I don't drink, so we typically wouldn't sit at the bar, but let me tell you we had such a great time! Tara, the bartender, was so attentive and her fantastic sense of humor made for such a fun experience! The owner has really done a great job with the place and the sushi was soooo good! The food was good. We arrived off prime time to have an off prime season.meal with old friends. So the sign at the entrance saying 90 minute limit on table time sounded rude. One of our party was on a walker, yet they dragged us past empty tables to the last window table. The waitress was a tall blonde. She. Was good, friendly but for a slow hour , not exceptional. The fish was great, generous, and fresh. Cole slaw too sweet. French fries just okay. I forgot to finish the last review and post it. It's a few months later and we are back. It's a nice day in March. It's not at all busy. The waitress is new, and very nice. I had a scallop special. I substituted extra veg for mashed potatoes. I was so pleased. There were nice fresh green beans and very tasty real, peeled, long carrots. And the scallops were very good and well cooked. The cheese sauce was just okay, but inoffensive topped with cracker crumbs. My husband had the soup and sandwich special. It was French dip and chicken noodle. The soup was good, not great. The sandwich really excellent. Nice beef and good cheese on a fresh baguette. The new decor is light and beach. It's clean I don't know why the kitchen was so slow that day. All four people in my group ordered some form of fish. I had fish and chips, 2 others had the fish tacos and the 4th person ordered the fish sandwich. All of us were very pleased with our food. The quality of ingredients and preparation were on point and everyone commented on how good the food tasted. I was excited to try this Falmouth Beach Bar after missing the British Beer Company. I sat at the bar to watch the PGA Travelers Championship and have a late lunch/dinner. I had a beautiful d and spot overlooking the ocean. I asked the bar tender to put on golf and was accommodated. Then I ordered a drink and asked for a menu. I had to twice for the menu and then it was thrown to me by a rude bartender. Customer service was poor, poor, poor I spoke with the manger who listened, offered an explanation and apologized. I recently came here at night for drinks with my family. They closed the outdoor area at 9:45pm and forced everyone inside while simultaneously letting people in through the front door. After being forced inside, my family kept being pushed further and further in to the bar being told by the manager "people are still eating dinner here so we're trying to move closer to the bar". I can understand this to an extent, however if you've ever been to this bar, it is insanely cramped and small inside. There is barely any bar space inside and we were being forced to bump in to other customers or tables and chairs of seated customers. If you're going to force people inside, then you should stop letting people in through the front door. It was so packed in the front of the restaurant to the point where it caused an altercation by a group eating dinner and a customer trying to find space at the bar. Stop letting people in if it's already packed, stop serving and seating customers for dinner after 9:30pm, or allow other customers who have already been there- stand wherever in the restaurant. It is so unfortunate to witness and experience this when my family has been vacationing here for 25+ years. We have never experienced anything like this. read more

Ordered a light lunch, stuffed Quahog and shrimp cocktail. The quahog was about a scoop of seafood that came crusted and dry. I should have sent it back. The shrimp cocktail normally comes in a special glass with lettuce and cocktail sauce, this came on a small juice glass and no lettuce. Our friends each had a lobster roll at $47 each. Order was wrong but no server could be found in any reasonable amount of time to correct it. Hostile manager, annoyed waitress, clearly they could not handle the busy time but it was made to be our problem, despite waiting, asking for help from two bus people... Food hastily prepared and oysters on the half shell were crunchy(!!) with a large shell sliver in one of them. For the cost, we expect better food and service. Maybe it was an off night, but how our table was handled made it our problem when clearly service and food fall on the establishment that presents the check. Loved the view but everything else was lacking flavor. I would recommend going if you want to hang outside having a drink while staring at the ocean. I had previously read a lot of reviews stating that customer service was slow and I have to agree for our group had the same experience but I believe it is due to shortage of staff. We were tired, not super hungry, and didn't feel like sitting down to a wait service restaurant so grabbed a couple of takeout meals. My husband I split the steak tips. Wow. They were so good, and you got a lot for the price. Came with yummy potatoes and green beans too. My daughter had the chicken tenders and enjoyed those as well. Ordered the whopping $24 marinated steak tips medium. The were cooked right, but most certainly not marinated. Drizzling A1 of it after cooking doesn't count as marinated in my book.
