I had read wonderful reviews for this restaurant so was excited to try it. The atmosphere was great. Right on the beach. Unfortunately, that is the only reason I gave it one star at all. There were three of us for dinner. It took us 20 minutes to get our first drink and they were totally watered down. We rarely saw our waitress unless we flagged her down when and if she came into view. We ordered a burger, Cod sandwich, crab cakes and clam chowder. Two tables around us were seated after us and they were served before we were. One of the tables that came in after us ate and left before we even got our food. The cod was seriously overcooked and was actually almost black, thrown together and falling apart as was the burger. The chowder was the ONLY thing that was acceptable. Our waitress kept saying our food was coming out any minute but the total wait for our food was just shy of an hour. We were so disappointed and will never go back. read more

I don't know why this place has such rough reviews. We went there on a Saturday night, greeted kindly, and sat immediately. We ordered 2 margaritas that were delicious. We got the poutine tater tots, which were a bit different but pretty good, and came out piping hot. My mom got the lobster roll. She wasn't impressed with the bread, but enjoyed the lobster and fries. I got the fish tacos, which the fry was a teeny bit soggy but didn't bother me as it was still very tasty. Also, they have waffle fries, which is a plus. The only thing that was disappointing was the cheesecake, which we ordered to go and when we got home, we discovered was sliver of cheesecake, we ate 2 bites each and watched it disappear. Really horrible service and mediocre food, on top of a long wait. We put our name on the list and told to wait an hour. After an hour had gone by, we checked in with the host, who told us many parties were still ahead of us in line. Many tables were sitting empty in the restaurant. Eventually, we were seated and met by our waitress. She took our drink order and never stopped by the table again. Instead, she sat down with (seemingly) friends at the table next to ours and watched as we flagged down other staff for water, drinks, food order, etc. Having worked as a server for many years myself, this behavior was completely unprofessional and noticeably impacted our experience as customers. We ordered appetizers which were brought out after our entrees. We were willing to suck up the wait time (about an hour and forty mins by the time we were seated) but I've never had such an underwhelming experience. Really disappointing all around and the food is overpriced. There are nicer restaurants in town with better food and shorter waits for the same price or less. Will never be back. Loved it. Great pubby food and very friendly crew on board. The locals know it is is good because it was busy on a dank March day. They even had a small private party with many happy campers. Two large portholes with videos of tropical fish behind the bar. The logo is that of a shipwreck used on marine navigational charts. Very cute and friendly! read more

I came here on holiday with my family looking for open restaurants. When we were seated I went to use the women's room (1 person). Little did I know someone BARGES IN. Door is completely open, I sprinted up and slammed the door shut immediately. Please get your lock fixed. It was quite an embarrassment let me tell you that. Some of the women were using the men's room because of the broken lock. Anywho, food was good not anything special. I got the roast beef and mash. i love this restaurant and the food is good. however they truly lived up to their name as this experience was a wreck. less shipwreck and more ten car pile up on the i-95. bambi is a lovely name but i think she was filled with denial as she searched for her dead deer mother instead of doing her job. where is she?? we dont know and neither does her coworkers. especially because she couldnt tell us the sushi was 86'd until 20 minutes after we order. on a brighter note, you can always rely on the cleanliness of the dishes, our evidence: soapy water. to be fair to bambi she might've been extra busy making sure those cups were clean. my friends and i (also restaurant workers) took it upon our selves to get our order in. we walked into the depths of the forest where bambi lives and got our menus back to get food that was not 86'd. then we found a nice bystander to put our new order in. i like the pretzels and cheese sauce gets thumbs up. read more

Before you become amazed at all the 5 star reviews, be aware that they are mostly by either "Lorraine" or "Lisa". I'm not someone who eats normally eats frozen chicken nuggets but since I'm newly gluten free I thought I'd try them. My first impression was they tasted like the fish sticks I had to eat when I was a kid. Breading was pretty bland and the texture of the chicken was a little mushy. After standing there for several minutes someone came to the hostess stand to answer the phone but still no acknowledgement of people waiting for a table. After another few minutes we got our name on the list. Very snotty young lady that clearly hates her job. The sullen older lady is no nicer but did finally seat us at a filthy table. Server was nice but put out that I asked to wipe of the food from the previous people off the table. We ordered drinks, they came quickly then food which also came quickly. Chowdah was tasty but cold. Chicken bites were hard. Pulled pork was good but all waffle fries were stuck together in one clump. Clearly use frozen products no creativity here. Not impressed enough to ever return. The view is amazing and opening up the wall with folding windows major success. Get food and service right and you might have a winner! read more

Had a wallet taken as soon as I left the bar area the management was terrible to respond to any type of assistance or help but they would "get back to me at some point maybe three or four days "they told me.....what good is that when I just need to talk to the server, they probably took the damn thing because I left it behind and he "did not see it ". The only table that had nobody sitting there was a "trivia table", and staff came around twice to clean it for nobody to be sitting there for an hour. Was in earlier today for lunch. Group of 6 extremely loud, boisterous boys seated in the corner near us. It was so loud we could not have conversation ourselves. We asked to be moved if something opened up and we're told we could not, only to note that several tables opened up shortly after and we were not accommodated, but others were. No one else who came in wanted to sit in the area and were relocated. Ended up with a major migraine. On top of that the food was subpar. Poorly managed situation and will not be back. read more
