From the outside, it doesn't look like there's a lot of seating area, but on the inside they make it work: there are 8-12 tables of 4 at least. I tried the gyro plate from Shiraz and it was so tasty. The meat was flavorful, tender, and crispy on the outside. It came with some rice (optional raisins probably shouldn't have gotten them) and a side salad. Their tzatziki sauce paired perfectly with the meat! It seems they make everything fresh and when you order it, so it took some time to come out, but they are working as hard as they can back there! Came here for the first time with my wife. We ordered the custom half and half platters. Keep in mind, these platters are really just a plate lunch for 1 person, it is not an actual platter or ala cart like I thought lol. We got the lamb shish, chicken shish, and Shiraz shish (2x) with rice and bread. The bread was like a giant cracker. We also ordered the pistachio Baklava which looked like a mini turnover. They were all very delicious. I wish the meat portions were a bit more for the price we paid, but we still enjoyed it and would like to return every so often. This restaurant recently implemented a "No Refills" policy on their sodas. This is a fast food restaurant with no table service. The soda machine is self service. The average customer probably spends $15 to $18. I did some internet searches. The average price of a soda costs the business owner 25 cents (maybe 30 if it's a high end soda). The food is cooked to order so it takes about 10 minutes to wait for your food. Most people, including myself will not tolerate this policy on self serve drinks. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem here in the BCS, if you'r'e a foodie like myself. The food is absolutely phenomenal and something I crave often. It is never busy here, and there are plenty of tables available if you prefer to dine in. There is also a cute little fountain on the inside! I almost always order the Lamb Fillet plate with Rice. It comes with two lamb skewers, naan, and a large portion of delicious rice! The meat is packed with flavor and super juicy and tender. I keep telling myself that I need to try the other meats whenever I dine here, but the lamb is just that good! I've also met the owner a few times, and you can catch him working at the front counter most days. I love supporting small family owned restaurants like this. My family called this location to inquire about the menu and was berated and rudely told that the food was "expensive" and "not to eat here" over the phone by the person who picked up after kindly asking a basic question. I want it to be known that I am shocked by the response and am deeply unamused by this interaction and poor treatment from this establishment's staff. Seriously ... look at the benches surrounding the fountain and there's piles of dirt and gravel. The kabobs and falafel were dry as a bone and inedible. The naan was so dry that it might as well have been dinner plate-sized cracker. Our order took 45 minutes from the notification of sale on my phone until the food was packaged to go. This is for a place with ALL the kabobs and meats pre-skewered and sitting in the cold case. (A previous review said that the food is "made to order" ... ummmm, no. It's COOKED to order after having sat uncovered in their cold case for God know's how long). My last review was 5 stars - but this one is a sharp downgrade because we waited 20 min for three perfect dishes and one frozen lamb shank. Maybe it just needed more time in the microwave, IDK. Deeply disappointed - and really is contrary to what appeared to be the ethos of the place: fresh handmade food prepared for you when you ordered it. They make their own naan to order, for Pete's sake! Now that we see the truth of the place we are looking at the menu a bit differently. Falafel we are now certain is frozen and fried to order, not fresh and handmade. Stews may also be frozen and reheated to order- which includes my faves the Gormeh Sabzi and Kashk-e Bademjan. We KNOW the kabobs are grilled to order, because we see the raw meat on the skewers in the case.
