    5. Chicken Shish Kabob and 1. Shiraz Shish Kabob

Came here for the first time with my wife. We ordered the custom half and half platters. Keep in mind, these platters are really just a plate lunch for 1 person, it is not an actual platter or ala cart like I thought lol. We got the lamb shish, chicken shish, and Shiraz shish (2x) with rice and bread. The bread was like a giant cracker. We also ordered the pistachio Baklava which looked like a mini turnover. They were all very delicious. I wish the meat portions were a bit more for the price we paid, but we still enjoyed it and would like to return every so often. Parking lot is small, but it wasn't busy so there was plenty of stalls. Lots of tables and chairs to dine on. Staff are very friendly and pretty fast.

Delicious food! Great portions! Aggie owned and operated this place is always a must-visit whenever I'm in college station. I am not a big fan of tomatoes but they grill theirs and when you squish it on top of the rice it is so yummy! 10/10 business for sure

    Lamb Fillet with Rice!

This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem here in the BCS, if you'r'e a foodie like myself. The food is absolutely phenomenal and something I crave often. It is never busy here, and there are plenty of tables available if you prefer to dine in. There is also a cute little fountain on the inside! I almost always order the Lamb Fillet plate with Rice. It comes with two lamb skewers, naan, and a large portion of delicious rice! The meat is packed with flavor and super juicy and tender. I keep telling myself that I need to try the other meats whenever I dine here, but the lamb is just that good! I've also met the owner a few times, and you can catch him working at the front counter most days. I love supporting small family owned restaurants like this. Not to mention, the owner is also a Veteran. So give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. The flavors of the dishes are as authentic as they come!

Having graduated from the Tehran American School back in the day, I love to be transported back by my tastebuds when I am able dine Persian! It's was easy to find my favorites by looking at the big picture menu board above the order counter. Being able to see the pre-skewered kababs in the refrigerated case before you order is nice. Ingredients are obviously fresh. They are also pretty even before they hit the grill. Ghormeh Sabzi, Abgoosht-khali khoob!

Tabouleh, grape leaves, Shiraz kabob, and 8. Lamb Shish Kabob

Just picked up from here, cause I had heard good things. Being from an Armenian background, I grew up with my mom making all the things. I won't lie, the food was phenomenal. I almost started crying after I took a bite of the grape leaves, as it reminded me so much of making them with my mom, etc. If you haven't been - GO! It's so worth it! I'll definitely be back later this week.

There was confusion with our ordered and we didn't get what we ordered. Also asked for waters and were given fountain cups.

I ordered the Upcluck and Away mac and cheese, plus a snack portion of the chicken and waffles with the maple aioli sauce. The food was definitely the highlight. The mac and cheese was really good, and that maple aioli sauce on the chicken and waffles was so good. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portions were decent for what I ordered. I also got the banana brûlée matcha. It was good, but the matcha itself didn't taste ceremonial grade. It had a slightly chalky texture that took away from it a bit. One downside was the wait. I stood in line for about 30 minutes, which was longer than expected. Overall, the food hits, especially if you're craving something savory and indulgent, but the wait and the drink quality keep it from being a higher rating for me. I'd still come back, just maybe at a less busy time, so not the weekends at all!

The sauce they compared with was also delicious -Brussels sprouts were crispy and had a nice char -our waitress was the only person on the floor while simultaneously managing the bar. She was trying her best to keep everything afloat during lunch and was very sweet. Neutrals: -the margarita I ordered with mezcal was fine. It tasted like it had a premade sweet and sour mix. -the chicken Parmesan sandwich my husband got was nothing to write home about but was exactly as described. His sweet potato fries were also generically good. Cons: -the restaurant didn't appear to be too clean. The floor was a bit dingy and there was visible food debris on it. -I was served water in a glass where the rim had a brown syrup like liquid on the rim. Not sure if that was from a past drink or perhaps soda syrup? -the basil in my husband's drink was very unappealing. I know basil can be a finicky herb, but putting it on display in his cocktail was off putting. He removed it immediately. -having only one staff member tending to lunch seemed odd. Considering the building is two stories, I believe she was having to leave to potentially go downstairs to retrieve food. There were multiple times no one was upstairs. We felt uncomfortable asking for anything because we didn't want to overwhelm someone just trying to keep their head above water. Overall, I wish the best for the establishment.

So the actual restaurant area is pretty small with limited seating. The inside was quaint and clean. Service was on-time and friendly. I got the give a dog a bone drink which is a sazerac that had dominant flavors in citrus so it wasn't too bitter. Started off the meal splitting a side Cobb salad which had candied bacon, deviled egg and avocado with buttermilk dressing. Our 2 main were the chicken fried steak and the black truffle sacchetti pasta. The CFS was good, well-seasoned and had good breading. But the size was a lot smaller than expected. Definitely not a shareable dish. Came with typical green beans and mashed potatoes. The black truffle sacchetti pasta was great! Sacchetti pasta is cheese stuffed pasta. The black truffle wasn't overwhelming, yet noticeable. And came with decent amount of grilled chicken. Very creamy and cheesy dish- this was shareable. Overall a great meal and we left stuffed.

It's been on my "to try" list since we moved back, and I will now have to resist stopping in weekly. Every single part of our meal was divine. We were greeted and sat promptly. The starter which was a thinly fried lentil "chip" with mint sauce and tamarind sauce was excellent and light. My husband ordered the Non-Vegi Thali which came with Tikka Masala, Lamb Curry, Dal Fry, Raitha, Rice, Biriyani rice, Naan, and Gulab Juman to sample and I got Lamb Kurma with Garlic Naan.
