I am in total shock at what a wonderful all around experience I had here. The staff were all extremely kind and accommodating. The restaurant is very clean and has that perfect early 2000s southern charm I love. The aesthetic of this place alone is worth a trip. The food was wonderful. I appreciate how they offer you a sample of any salad before ordering. I got a scoop of Fancy Nancy with a side of fruit and it was delicious. The meal came with complimentary crackers, a pickle spear, and a cookie. Every single item was delectable. Side note: if you're wanting a filling but calorie conscious meal, this was perfect. After the Aggie football game my family decided to try Chicken Salad Chick. My husband was very nervous about our restaurant choice, I'm not even going to lie! The Cashiers made him feel at ease and even let him try a few samples before making a selection. I had the trio with Fancy Nancy, grape salad and pimento cheese. The staff seemed too preoccupied to take my order, and i had to ask if it was okay to start ordering after waiting. I had my order taken by a friendly cashier and decided to try the BLT Sandwich with the Classic Carol Chicken Salad & a side of Mac N Cheese. The sandwich was good but felt it didn't have as much of the chicken salad as I was hoping. The mac was also tasty but nothing extraordinary. I'm always driving by this place everyday and I finally got myself to try it! This place is so nice on the inside, I will have to dine in the next time. It wasn't crowded at all, and the establishment was very clean. My food also came out very quickly! I ordered the Classic Chicken Salad Chick meal with a side of the Potato Soup. Both the sandwich and the soup were absolutely delicious. The soup was my favorite! I will have to order it in a bigger cup for the next time! This was a cute place to go to lunch and the food is good but the wait is kind of crazy for food that is essentially already made. I would go if you have lots of time and are absolutely not in a rush. I had the tortilla soup (not great) but the bacon chicken salad was really good -especially on a bed of lettuce-that was all fresh and pretty! The poppyseed dressing was good but would have been better on fruit. But if you like sweet dressing be sure and try it -you won't be disappointed. I met my Meetup.com Ladies Dinner group here despite the fact that I am a vegetarian. I eat almost nothing from an animal except cheese. I wanted to be social because I am a social butterfly and being around people is good for my mental health. I get there expecting just to drink some Light lemonade and watch other people eat. To my surprise they actually had something on the menu I could eat. It was a broccoli salad. It had no meat in it. I was so surprised. I ordered the broccoli salad and sat at the table. They brought it to me within like 3 seconds, really fast. It was a really small bowl but that's ok, I could have ordered more. Anyway this broccoli salad was so good, I devoured it in 2 fork fulls. All the selections are great but my current favorite is the lemon basil. I would have never thought to make it this way, but now I'm obsessed. I can't get enough! I usually buy a container to take home and have Sassy Sally on a croissant with soup in the restaurant. Fruity Fran is yummy if you are leaning more sweet than savory. Buffalo Barclay is savory but not nearly as hot as its namesake Buffalo wings-just enough spicy flavor to say "wow, that's good!" Every entree comes with a little packaged cookie with buttercream icing. Sweet touch! Colors and decor inside are bright and cheerful. It's a counter-order, self-bus spot, but each table has a placard that you use when you leave so the staff knows it's ready to be wiped down. Simple and thoughtful system. read more
