I was referred to them by a co-worker. Over the last several months I've had them install a stage 2 BTR cam, long tube headers, full exhaust, torque converter, trans cooler and a new intake. The experience from start to finish was second to none. I had many questions about applications and function and Wes, the owner was very informative and patient with my numerous inquiries. My Silverado runs great and they stand by their work. I would recommend them to anyone who needed performance or aftermarket work done. Quoted a ridiculous price for a custom PCM tune. I could buy the software, hardware, cables, and a class how to do it for the exact price I was quoted. I'm assuming the guy on the phone googled "custom PCM tune" for my engine and gave me the price of the first sponsored result for the required equipment. Coincidence? Or did they just need me to buy the stuff bc they don't have it? Either way, sketchy af, then I read some other reviews, how is this place in business? read more

This place is a SCAM!! HORRIBLE MECHANICS!! I took a perfectly great running truck that I treat like its human and had them put a Pro Charger on it that I purchased new from Pro Chager. It was still in the box unopened. They said it would be $2500 and I said ok. I get the truck back. Ended up paying $3800 because they said they had to do some other bologna to make it work. A month or so later I was called and told it was ready to go. I left and it was popping and missing and running like crap. I got down the road and called them and they said to drive it home and it will work itself out. Before I got home the check engine light came on and started flashing. Its never done that brfore. It never did run any better and I took it back. They said the plugs and wires were burnt and they had to replace them. That was a lie! I personally changed and replaced both a month before taking it to them. They told me I owed another $800. I paid because I was excited to drve it. It still ran like crap It didn't even have 2lbs of boost from a $7000 Pro Charger Kit they installed. They blamed the kit and argued with me about it. I took it to another place in St Louis and they tuned it and had it running exceptionally well. Don't waste your money!!! $4600 Down the drain. read more

I've refrained from reviewing this shop out of respect for the shop, but they have severely screwed me over. I pulled a built drivetrain out of a well running wrecked car and put it into my car. I then took a running (needing tuned), driving car to them with the intention of having them look the car over, correct any issues with the car, and then ultimately dyno tune it. It started out with them doing some basic things like spark plugs, o2 sensors, COP boot, a few sensors, and then it turned into them telling me that my car was unable to be tuned due to a footprint that I had on the ECU from my old tuner, after some educating, I finally convinced them that they could flash the ECU back to stock and try again. After doing this, they still battled with trying to get the o2 sensors to read for months all while charging me to diagnose the car until they finally realized that their guy flashed the ECU wrong and they had to reflash it, ultimately charging me $450 for 2 ECU flashes. After all of this, the shop said that the car was "running and driving great on the base tune" and that they were going to strap it on a dyno the following week. The finally get it on the dyno, 3 weeks late, and end up blowing up the engine on the first pull while tuning it. They then proceed to tell me it "jumped time" and that they can fix it after the entire drivers side bank has low compression. I tell them not to worry about it and that I'd just come get it. They still charge me over $400 for this work, and ultimately charged me $3965.44. I simply take my punches and role with it and have my dad just go grab the car for me because it's 30 minutes from him and 7 hours from me (I was storing it at his shop). I called and ask them to give my dad the compression numbers when he shows up. They didn't. I call back this morning to get the compression numbers and they say they'd email them to me in 20 minutes but they never did. I called back this afternoon and the owner takes an attitude with me for continuing to call so I politely ask them to send the numbers and he starts rattling off the numbers on the phone so I ask him to send them because I wasn't in a spot where I could write them down. He then says "we didn't blow your motor up. We didn't build it" then he hangs up on me. I'm beyond upset and I don't know what I should do. They blew up my perfectly healthy motor and did poor work and still charged me $4000. I want to take them to small claims court. Stay away from Sho-Me Speed in Strafford Missouri. I'm sure the shop will respond but nothing they say is legitimate as far as I'm concerned. read more

I used this shop and found they will not do a good job when they do work on your vehicle. I had a 49 GMC 5 window and they wasted my money and I took it somewhere else. Now the truck is running great. I normally don't send out negative reviews, but be warned. read more

Pick this shop due to the glowing reviews.Drove 3 hrs one way to have my car tuned and parts install .I found out that parts were never ordered which was discovered when I showed for the appointment.Parts were paid for in advance (2months prior) and I confirmed that my appointment date and that parts had arrived the week before the install. I was told that parts were the and appointment was confirmed, which was untrue because I was later told everything was ordered the day I was told that the parts had already arrived. All this planning with them started 3 months prior in which I took off work to make the 6 hr drive only to be disappointed.They did offer to install parts when they arrived maybe by the weekend,I chose to decline, can't really put my trust on a shop that can't pay enough attention to detail to make sure parts are the until the customer shows up at there door. read more

By far the worst experience I've had at an auto shop. They quoted me a specific amount and then charged me 50 dollars more due to their mistake. Come to find out the part they installed was missing two screws and is now about to fall off. I have to now fix it myself. I would never go anywhere near this place. read more
