My local Upland shoe repair was closed on Monday. I needed my heels repaired by Thursday (6 pairs). I looked on yelp and found Shoe Clinique, boy am I glad I did. When I walked in they were very nice, asked if i wanted to pick them up later today? What??? My other guy would never have anything ready same day!!! I said no, tomorrow is fine. It's hard to find a decent shoe repair shop and this place looked legit so I thought I'd give them a try. I came in about 30 minutes before their closing time with 2 pairs of shoes I needed heels replaced on figuring I'd have to come back for them in a few days. But Juan told me that if I wanted to wait he would do them right then. Sure enough, I walked over to the store next door and when I came back less than 10 minutes later, he was done with my shoes! The very best there is. Saves us a ton of money resoling our good shoes so we don't have to drop 200+ for a new pair. My husband wears down his soles quickly so we save money by having heel guards out on every couple of months which makes his soles last much longer. We've extended the life of SAS shoes by going to Show Clinique and hubby has a pair of Dr Martens that he's had for 10 years that we got the heels replaced. read more

Man fuck this place straight up. I took a vintage leather jacket to these guys and they said they could cut off fringe from leather jacket by tearing apart stitching and then replacing the stitching in same place. Instead these assholes used a razor blade to cut off fringes and put cuts into my leather jacket. Thanks a lot lazy asshole for fucking up my jacket. On top of that he was supposed to weather proof the leather and when I got there he took his spray can out and gave it a quick spray. Really wtf, who do you think you are fooling? I've been coming here for a few years and needed to get my folklorico shoes resoled and renailed, something I have done here frequently. The price jumped in one year from 18 dollars to 32. When I questioned this price change, the man just said, well that was last year, which I found rude. I have recommended everyone from my group here, over 60+ dancers and find it disappointing that he doesn't treat loyal and local customers with respect. However upon receiving the repaired goods, my fiancé was not completely satisfied and there was a sign staying along the lines of satisfaction guaranteed. I went in based on the postive reviews I read here. Upon arrival I waited a little while to be acknowledged but once I was greeted the guy (I think he's the owners son) who helped me was quite attentive. I dropped off a pair of mid-calf boots that needed to be stretched in the calf area. The guy said they'd stretch them overnight and I could pick them up the next day. Came back in, there was no difference. He then told me that they probably needed to be stretched for several days. I left them there for about 4 or 5 days. Tried them on and felt a very slight difference. I asked if there was some type of product that they use to soften the material to make stretching easier. He recommended a few in the store that I could purchase. He then suggested that a small cut could be added to my boots so they could put in a piece of elastic, which would have cost me an extra $14 per shoe on top of what I already spent. No thanks! I didn't need a significant amount of stretch in the boots. If they have products there to sell, that aide in stretching why would they not use them when they are being paid to do the stretching??? I wasn't happy. It was a waste of $14....I'm just grateful that I didn't pay anymore than that. read more

I had my nike basketball shoes repaired here. The shoes I needed repaired were shoes from 2006. The shoes have been worn a total of 5 times and the factory epoxy has became un-glued. I previously had them "repaired" but not to my liking. Once I dropped them off I stated my issues with the glue and the cobbler understood exactly what I was looking for. Few days later when I went to pick the shoes up they looked great. No questions at all about the quality. I was totally impressed with the work that was performed. I came here reluctantly, after getting into an altercation with another cobbler who refused to add velcro to a shoe strap, and insisted that he instead had to shorten the straps for me to get the results I wanted (which would have taken a while and been much more expensive). Brought 7 pairs of shoes in for repair on 8/21 & got them back today 8/23! Five needed replacement heels. One needed a new insole only. One needed an insole & a heel. Juan Carlos replaced the insoles with black leather. He replaced the heels with good quality heels. I have a hard time finding shoes to fit, so I am happy to get them repaired when possible. I took 2 pairs of shoes on the the advice of a sales woman at David's Bridal raving about this guys work and what and awesome job he does.......She could not have been more wrong!!!! he replaced a heel on a pair of my shoes and it is a black plastic heel not leather like it was when I brought it there and the heel is spray painted white and there are gaps between the heel and the shoe!!!! The second pair had nicks in the leather and I was told he could recover them and they would look new!!! No Way!!!!!! it looks like tin foil was applied to the heel the fabric is super wrinkled and again the color was spray painted on!!!!!! The spray paint came off on my hand when i picked up the shoe!!!! If you care about your shoes at all DO NOT I Repeat DO NOT BRING THEM to SHOE CLINIQUE!!!!!! read more

My favorite pair of flats needed new heels because one had fallen off somewhere. I saw the reviews on yelp and figure it would be worth a try since the last place I went in Claremont was a rip off. I walked in and the place was exactly what I expected a shoe repair shop to look like. Saw that someone said it was dirt, uh it's a place full of shoes not a beauty salon. Anyway the woman asked me when I wanted to pick up and I said anytime today or this week, they didn't need to be done quick. She asked if I would like to wait ten minutes and they would be done. I was blown away because the repair man was working on another pair and set them aside to do mine. They fixed both heels, shined up the leather and got them to me in less than ten minutes and it was only $10. I will for sure go back again! read more
