    Chicken teriyaki
    Warren D.

Date of visit: 12/23/21 We found this place after our original place was closed for several days and decided not to update their website and with a hankering for Asian food on our tongues, we decided to give it a try. The drab, dirty outside should have been the first warning. The long wait for someone to seat us and the dingy interior could have been strikes two and three. There was someone at the front, on the phone, who looked at us several times, but made no attempt to signal to us that they would be with us when they could, which made me wonder if we were supposed to seat ourselves. Eventually someone came and sat us but immediately asked for our orders. We needed a minute as this was our first time here and that minute stretched out for quite some time. There were many similar stretches of time during the meal, though I do understand that they were likely short-staffed. We both had the teriyaki chicken, which was a mixed bag. The chicken was dry, as though it had been cooked earlier and reheated, or took up a summer residence under the heat lamps before being ready for plating. The veggies were blah as well. But the teriyaki sauce was quite good, as was the rice--just had to pick around the giant onions. While so-so, all-around, the biggest issue was that something I ate did NOT agree with me and I had some ill effects that thankfully did not linger and ruin my Christmas!

The rice was pretty wet, prices were extremely high for the quality of food, and atmosphere felt far too dark.

It's been several years since our previous visit, and the only thing that ever seems to change here is the prices. The over-the-top (but dated) elegance, a commanding view of Lake Michigan, doting service, and well-prepared classics remain exactly as we remember. We made our reservations online and were seated promptly upon arrival. The cocktails are expertly mixed and generous in size (the Missus and I are Bloody Mary types). The days of a "free" relish tray are no more, but we ordered one as our app ($13) and the plentiful portion was more than enough for our party of 4. A basket of freshly-baked rolls accompanied by a thick slab of melty butter arrived next. Entrée prices include a choice of soup or salad and a side dish. Their baked French onion soup rivals most pub versions and the house-made salad dressings are exceptional. For my entrée, I could not resist ordering that old school supper club classic, Chicken Oscar. My dining companions went with chopped steak and chicken parmigiana. Everything was superb and the portions were so generous that we boxed up half to take home. For dessert, we wanted something a bit lighter than their caloric classics. Although not on the menu, the kitchen gladly doled out 1-scoop ice cream sundaes (they can also prepare a gold brick sundae). The staff will not rush you. Plan on spending an entire evening here, soaking up the nostalgia. Don't miss the bar with its spectacular view of the lake. The retro Hobnob experience and Wisconsin's lower gas prices are a great incentive for us Illinoisans to dine here more often!

The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is spot on and gives you exactly the feel you want in a fine dining establishment. But the thing that makes this restaurant stand far above most others is the service! From the minute we walked in, we encountered nothing but genuine smiles and a sense that everyone there seemed to really care and be invested in us having a wonderful experience in their place of business. We were greeted at the front desk by a team of radiant ladies at the host stand. It seriously felt like they were happy to see us! Violet was especially kind and gracious and we enjoyed a short chat with her. The bartender was pleasant and efficient in taking our large varied order, and the drinks were solid. The bus and runner staff all were personable, polite and expedient. But the true star of our night was our waiter Brandon! He was spectacular. There were 15 of us and he handled our large table calmly and skillfully. He handled our indecisiveness, modifications, add ons, questions and loud revelry, professionally and expertly, never loosing his composure or patience. He definitely made our night. Thank you Brandon. We live in New York and most of the others live in Milwaukee and Minneapolis now, but Racine is the hometown and the 4th of July is a kin to a sacred holiday. The parade not to be missed! So I'm sure many a visit back is in our future, and the next time we do, I will make sure Sebastian's is on the top of our must do list! So please stay wonderful! Five stars!

These were scalloped type potatoes and I've never liked the texture of scalloped potatoes. My husband loved them though. I did order crème brûlée but forgot to take a picture. My husband got home and they sent a burger with bbq sauce instead of the cubano. He went all the way back to get my sandwich and I can't even eat it. The ham is supposed to be deli ham, they put a huge chunk of a honey ham (like the ones you buy for Easter) with the brown sugar glaze. Are Cubans eating this kind of ham? No. Then there a sliced pork loin instead of slow roasted shredded pork with lots of garlic and oregano and citrus like a Cuban lechon would have. It's not even edible. I wanted so badly to like this. I just had back surgery and can't go anywhere. I was hoping they could get a sandwich right. It was horrible. I immediately gagged. I'm not a food snob, I'll literally eat just about anything but it has to actually taste good. I'm really sorry toad hall but yall need some cooking lessons.

The menu features lots of excellent Mexican cuisine choices including quesadillas, birria/ chorizo/ or steak tacos, Mexican breakfast options, and a small kids menu. During our first experience here, my husband ordered the steak taco plate which included 3 tacos, rice and beans. He also ordered the birria ramen. I, myself, ordered the birria taco plate which included 3 birria tacos, the consume, rice, and beans. We thought everything tasted very good! Beverages include: Different Mexican beverages such as Jarritos, Mex Coke, Horchata etc. Once could also canned soda, coffee, or juice. Their horchata was delicious-not overly sweet or watery at all. As far as alcoholic beverages, they have those, too! Paloma's, margaritas, and I was informed that they will soon have a mocktail menu. Service: Excellent. My husband and I dined-in on a very busy Sunday and there was no where to sit except a high counter-top area. We placed our order and were offered a table as soon as one became available. While eating, we were asked at least 3-4x if everything was okay or if we needed anything by various staff members. Prior to leaving, it started pouring rain outside. My husband paid our bill then went to pull our car closer to the door. While he was doing that, one of the employees by the name of Lupe grabbed an umbrella and walked me to the car when he pulled up (it's summertime and I was in summer attire including sandals). When I ordered carry out and sent my husband to pick up, I only wanted rice and beans. For some reason, he did not check the bag before leaving. He ended up coming home with some else's entire order which had no beans or rice. The restaurant was set to close in 15 mins, thus I did not bother to call about it. Value: $10-$20 on average for a meal and regular beverage. Great value for the portion sizes. Ambiance: Nice ambiance, yet very small restaurant with a bar area. Few tables outside for outdoor seating. Location: 2343 Mead St, Mt. Pleasant, WI, 53403 Phone: 262-456-0154 *Parking is all street parking and not the greatest when the place is busy. Check Google for business hours before going as it seems to change often. Cons in my opinion: * Because the restaurant is so small, I didn't like that large families were dining in and being *dining squatters* by taking up a few tables and conversing with one another for a long time, which took up a lot of space for a lot time. *dining squatter- someone that dines at a place, taking their sweet time eating, and lounging around after eating. * this business also owns a food truck, so it seems that their restaurant hours of operation change quite often depending on when they will take their food truck out.

The restaurant is quite spacious and located on the second level of the building. There are options to sit inside, outside but covered, or outside. The marina and Lake Michigan add the experience with great views from the deck area. Our server was very nice. She was super attentive, and we really appreciated her checking back in for refills, napkins, etc. The food was actually the highlight of my experience. I got the garlic shrimp skewers which came with a Hawaiian roll, Cole slaw and a side (I chose a baked potato). My partner got the prime rib dip with hush puppies. Didn't have a chance to take a pic of the cheese curds before they were devoured! Only downside is the place is VERY noisy. Everytime someone who move a chair, the scraping sound was otherworldly. They are metal chairs on a concrete/gravel flooring. Not ideal. And waitstaff was constantly dropping things and running into each other or the chairs/tables. That was a bit chaotic. However, the food was great and so were the views. They also have live music (they had wrapped up before we got there today). I'd definitely come back (maybe sit inside near an area where you can look out on the lake).
