The staff are super nice, the buffet seemed clean ... but I wouldn't say the COVID guidelines are strictly enforced - I saw several diners not wearing masks and getting their food :( They still do the regular buffet where everything is self-serve (I had thought buffet restaurants were doing the cafeteria style where servers did the plating during COVID) -- the only thing different is everyone is given one plastic glove to use for the serving utensil to grab food .... which looked like everyone was adhering too. We opted to do the takeout option -- where we went to the buffet line to fill up our styrofoam containers and then got our containers weighed ... they charge $6.49/lb which seemed like a better deal than the to-go dinners plus you can get more variety. But of course nothing beats the value or enjoyment of in-person AYCE buffet - $10.49/person and $9.99/seniors for lunch. During lunch, meat options incl. fried chicken, pulled pork. pot roast, meatloaf, fish. My favorites - pulled pork, hush puppies, green beans, baked beans, sweet potato casserole, peach cobbler & pecan pie. Overall, food is pretty good. My only wish is that they would enforce mask wearing in the food buffet line. FYI lunch is 11-4pm, and early bird pricing for seniors is from 1-3pm.

The best fried chicken, greens, mashed potatoes and gravy

Being hesitant because of the corona virus, this experience was exceptional. All employees were masked and gloved. The buffet concept worked safely and servers dished everything up for us. The food was hot and delicious: fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and greens. Great lunch and easy place to bring two toddlers. They had both senior and military pricing

This is a fresh, well stocked and clean location. Its busy. The steaks are pretty good sized and the cook here knows just how to cook them. The salads are fresh a clean. The attendant does a great job at keeping the stations clean and fresh which is a plus for me. The waitress kept refilling our drinks and was really nice and courteous. The restrooms were clean. Would recommend trying the lemon rosemary steak....it tasted different and was pretty good.

Bonnie the server was the best server I've ever had at any restaurant

Food is good, service really good, ambiance is like a '80s buffet! I got a pizza, orange chicken, and 2 kinds of rice. 5 stars!

One thing we really appreciated is that if it's your birthday, they give you a 25% discount, which was a great surprise and made the occasion even better. Our whole family had a wonderful time. Our 6-month-old daughter, Genesis, had a blast chewing on the ribs, and our one-year-old son, Titus, ate everything on his plate and clearly loved every bite! Thank you to everyone at Austin's Steak House for helping make my wife's birthday so memorable. Be prepared they almost always have a weight come dinner time. They told us about a 25 minute wait but it really only you landed up like maybe 10 minutes for two people and a baby. It's very busy inside. You'll have to step around people a lot, but I feel like that's common for a buffet. Food was constantly being brought out and was nice and hot. I absolutely love their chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, and their green beans the mac & cheese was extremely watery and not that great and we were super disappointed in the steaks. They just tasted like fake or kind of gamy. Wasn't a fan of that, but there was definitely plenty of food to choose from and desserts! Our server was super sweet and made sure to refill our drinks and take our dirty plates often Overall, I think the food was good, especially for the price and there's a ton of options. It is a bit loud because tables are very close together. But again that just has a lot to do with the fact that it is a buffet place. Overall, I would say that it's like a golden corral on steroids

Parking is tight. 2:30 Sunday afternoon and there is a line. It's dark. It's old. It's cramped. It's packed. Pay as you enter at some booth that looks like a fortune teller would be sitting in it. If the fortune teller was indeed there- they would say you are about to be forever changed. We paid- got seated- and headed to the buffet. Holy guacamole Batman. It's tight and crowded. They had prawns or maybe crawfish- missus loved them. They had shrimp. Fried fish looked rough. They had everything you can find in a Chinese food place. They had miles of noodles, piles of egg rolls and dumplings and spring rolls. They had ice cream and cookies and desserts. They had cakes and puddings and yes- a salad or three. If you got to a buffet and eat a salad- you got issues I can't fix. The final test: missus says she didn't see red jello. It isn't a real buffet without the red jello. I went looking. Yes- three kinds of jello. How did everything taste? Missus liked it all and really liked the potatoes ( why, just, why.) I thought the place was absolutely terrific. Old and a bit tired but the food was so very good. The service from our waits was good. She would say to people "I see you" and smile as she took the empty plates or refilled glasses. We paid $12.99 per person, plus $3 per person for drinks. With tip is was like $38 ish bucks. I can spend that at Freddy's or Burger King for two people. So- if ya haven't been there, try it. If ya have- you hopefully had the same great experience we did. Ive included a photo of the jello, just to prove how authentic Sakura is.

It took me a while to write this review because I was still trying to process just how disappointing the experience was for the whole family. Let's start with the positive: the staff was genuinely lovely--from the warm greeting at the door to our server and the buffet attendants. Everyone was kind and attentive, and they were doing their best. Now, the food. While the buffet was abundant, much of it was barely edible and did not taste freshly made. My teens--who love fried chicken--took one bite and declared it "unedible," which was my first red flag. They reverted to the kids' station, but the mac & cheese was mushy and unrecognizable, and everything else there had been steamed to within inches of its life. I tried to rally enthusiasm with the donut wall, but despite being coated in sugar, the donuts were oddly tasteless. Many items across the buffet were overly salted--yes, even the greens were sodium loaded . At the made-to-order station, I tried the stir-fry, which was unfortunately drowned in what tasted like bottled sauce. Our last hope was the crêpe station. I understand this is a high-volume restaurant, but the crêpes were clearly prepackaged, reheated to order, and filled with canned fruit. Once again: edible, but barely. We did manage to laugh together about how much we love Dolly Parton--and how shocking it was that food this bad carried her name. I can't speak to ordering off the regular menu, but I strongly recommend saving your hard-earned money and skipping this buffet altogether. Perhaps a freshly made omelet might have been better, but nothing here justified the $65 per person price tag. Aunt Grannies at the theme park is definitely better, but since it was a holiday we eventually went to Bucc- ees later to get better food .
