Trying to save a spot before the mad rush with people. Summers afternoon all day on the beach frolicking around enjoy the water. When you're young, you don't care what the water was like. The hours of bike rides along the path from the pier to the marina, shoreline village and back to Belmont shores. This place is one of those that just makes you smile reminding you of your childhood. I still come down whenever I'm in town to have a walk along the waterfront. Checking out the boats all lines up in the docks. The view of the Queen Mary docked permanently along the water. People watching and of course the sunsets. It's a place for all that and then some. It's a local hotspot for bike rides, exercise, and dates. Also a hotspot for the tourist enjoying Long Beach. A nostalgic experience each and every time. A nice place for just doing nothing.

Dock is very dangerous, nails are always sticking out and the docks are falling apart, completely unacceptable this is such a hazardous danger. Marina and the people running the marina are disgusting trash, they are rude and disrespectful. If you ask them to nail the dock back together so I don't fall in the water stepping onto the swim platform from the dock. Or when the electricity acts up and pops the breakers in the boat because the marinas breaker is melting due to whatever power issue the marina has they rudly answe with a "yep we'll look into that"and never does, 3 shore power cables later finally they replaced the breaker

This small harbor area is a very convenient location and easily accessible by the walking path to…read morerestaurants, Shoreline Village, The Aquarium, and to the lighthouse. You will also find the loading area for the water taxi (dock 4)and Harbor Cruises (dock 3), and Dockside Boat and Bed (dock 5). The walking path is a wide area shared with walkers, bikes, scooters, dogs and their owners on a walk. And yes, some homeless too. There are many restaurants and you pass the aquarium. The walking area is well maintained and makes for a very peaceful morning walk. Today we took a morning walk to the lighthouse. The lighthouse in itself is not much to see, but the walk to and from is worth it! At the lighthouse you get a 360 view of the area. Sadly, there was a lot of trash, I assume from people who were there the night before. City workers were busy cleaning up the walking path and they will probably make their way to clean up the trash at the lighthouse. We parked in the lot by PF Changs-it's about $26. There is a public parking lot across the bay from PF Changs that's less expensive. We lived this new to us experience!

When I say this experience was awesome and refreshing, I truly mean it. The views during the boat ride were absolutely amazing, and for a few hours I felt completely at peace--as if all my troubles had simply vanished. The atmosphere was relaxing, the scenery was beautiful, and it gave me a chance to clear my mind and just enjoy the moment. One of the things I enjoyed most was watching families and friends have a great time together. It was uplifting to see so many people creating memories, and I even had the opportunity to meet a few genuinely kind and interesting people along the way. Thank you for providing such a memorable experience. If you're looking for a peaceful, refreshing escape with beautiful views and great energy, I highly recommend it. Five stars!

What a fun & spontaneous thing to do & so we did on a Saturday afternoon! Hahaha! Boat | Roomy, spacious & clean! We sat at the top of the boat! The views were fantastic! Plenty of other boats/ships/yachts passed by along the way! It was a really beautiful day as well & simply, relaxing! I recommend bringing sunglasses and or sun hat if you're going to sit at the top of the boat, especially on a sunny day! Cruise | Informative! We were given the history of Long Beach, cruised by plenty of colorful shipping containers, as well as enjoyed the gorgeous views of Long Beach! The person on the loudspeaker did a fantastic job! I'm new to exploring the Long Beach area, so the information was helpful! Other Passengers | While chatting with my friend, a woman from Pacific Palisades joined us! She had a margarita in one hand and a big personality in the other hand! Haha! She had me laughing, nearly nonstop! She was hilarious, which made the boat ride even more fun! She even turned up music on her iPhone to add to the ambience! Good times, great energy! Cost: $19 per person! Score! The cruise was about an hour! Customer Service | The woman who booked us on the last-minute cruise, which was leaving in less than five minutes, was so friendly! She was personality plus, thanks again! The Captain was friendly as well! I spoke to him as we were exiting the boat & thanked him for a great cruise! Overall | What a fun cruise! I would highly recommend if you were visiting Long Beach, especially had friends and family in town to show them around; another fun thing to add to your list! Let's go!
