So many wonderful vegetarian options! We've been here three different times so far, and have gotten different items each time, all delicious food. They don't just have something with no meat, they have complex menu items made from wonderful ingredients. This place is a hidden gem in Tucker, as it's better than some restaurants in VaHi. They have huge, fantastic daily gourmet burgers, and their custom pizzas are amazing with huge amounts of choices! Beer selection is great and to top it off they have daily specials. I've been here three times and am yet to be disappointed. It doesn't look like much on the outside but you won't be disappointed. I never knew plain cheese pizza could be so good! Add pesto & it's even better. The Greek salad is ah-mazing (and huge.) The specials on Fridays are always to die for. Amazing pizza from a real wood fired, brick oven. Please don't pass this little pizza barn by. Do yourself a favor a try their key lime pie! It will reduce you to tears... of joy! I've been eating here for years and have always loved it. Went back last night for the first time in a while and was sadly disappointed. Our waitress was not very attentive and there were only about 4-6 tables in the restaurant. The pizza (which used to be one of my faves) was the worst part. Part of my crust was burned (as was my dining partners) and the center of the pizza was soggy. The distribution of toppings was also lacking. It all seemed to be on one part. It really kills me to write a bad review for a place that I have loved, but something has really changed and it's so disappointing. read more

First time here tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was awesome! We just for a cheese pizza with onions and pepperoni. My husband got the Cuban sandwich. The pizza sauce has a mild sweetness to it that makes it so yummy. The service was good and the manager Shannon is awesome. Totally recommend this place! read more

I have not written about this place as I wanted to give it a few times before I wrote something. That said this is an odd little place. Shorty's is neither bad nor good it's just there. We have been on 3 occassions and have Plank grilled salmon, shrimp pasta, chicken Ceasar, and various other menu items...we have never had their pizza though and maybe that's the problem. The food is OK. Last night we had the salmon with asparagus and roasted potatoes. All was very good but I have a bamboo table with smaller stalks than the asparagus at Shorty's. Had I thrown one towards Lawrenceville Highway I would have popped a car tire had it made contact. We all know that asparagus of this size is served because the bigger it is the cheaper it is to buy!!! That is the crux of the issue I have with this restaurant, they do fine on most things but never do everything well. They have outdoor seating but it's really kind of dirty and nasty...it's great they have it but they put no effort into maximizing it. See the pattern here??? It's not a bad place but it's not good either. It can however improve if the owners just show a little interest in serving their customers not serving them just food. read more

I think this is the better Shorty's, not just because it's bigger and has a large deck, so less of a wait, but I think the food is also better. It seems like they are more generous with the toppings here than at N Druid Hills, plus fewer charred places on the crust. My personal favorites right now are Van the Man with big chunks of potato and broccoli, cheese and bacon, it's a potato skin pizza - It Stoned Me - or the Janis Joplin with apples and blue cheese and walnuts, served with a honey bear - it'll make you Cry Baby. They have the best trivia I've ever played (and that's a lot) and live music. My only criticism is with the way that the karaoke idol contest is being handled, but that's not enough to keep me away. read more

Small stage where local musicians sometimes play live music. Good place for families and groups of people. Nice local pours available. read more

This is our new favorite! The Jack White Pizza is to die for! On Mondays they have customer appreciation and you get 50% off your Bill if you show them your last full priced receipt from your prior visit. Tuesday is half off sandwiches/burgers. We have been the last 2 weeks on Tuesday for the Chicken Pesto sandwich with goat cheese and arugula. Comes with a nice salad on the side. Two of us can have dinner for under 12 bucks on Tuesday! We went tonight and decided to try their homemade chocolate chip cookie for dessert. It's big enough for two. They put your cookie in the pizza oven for a minute so it's oozing chocolate and soft! The best part. It's served with homemade whipped cream on the side. Heaven! The service is always great, we like to sit at the bar. Everyone is very friendly and attentive and it's a nice place to relax. Very laid back! We love our new little find and will continue visiting regularly! read more

We live around the corner from Shorty's and visit quite frequently. We adore everyone that works there and crave their smoked turkey sandwiches. The last few times we've been there, the staff has taken extra precautions due to Covid which we definitely appreciate. Masks are REQUIRED (we won't eat at a place in which they are not). Your temperature is taken at the door and they ask you stay socially distanced from other guests. ONLY a limited number of people are allowed at the bar at any one time and all parties are 6ft from each other. We've also eaten outside and the same precautions are kept... masks, social distancing, etc. We cannot recommend the food or drinks enough. NOTHING is frozen... everything is fresh and we've never had a bad meal. We LOVE the Friday night specials. Not to mention the drinks are poured a little heavy handed, which I'll never complain about Thank you for being our go-to place and taking such good care of us! read more

We just discovered this gem and are in love!! Best Pizza in Gwinnett County and at a great price. They also have Springer Mountain chicken wings...Grilled!! Just awesome! Loved the "Biggie Smalls" Pizza with Soprasetta, Roasted Garlic, Roasted Onions, Prosciutto, Arugula. Cold Beer! Crab Cakes! and a wonderful selection of eclectic salads! This place is in a not so visible area, went yesterday and it was ok. Server wasn't attentive to us, my friend ordered a burger and he says it wasn't flavorful. I ordered a blacken shrimp po-boy and it was sort of dry, one little piece of romaine lettuce and about 4 small pieces of tomatoes, I could hardly notice the remoulade sauce on it , very small smear. Not really sure if this could be called a po-boy -- especial (me) coming from New Orleans, La. The service was just not attentive... I will probably return to give another chance and order the pizza! The beer was good and cold so overall not too bad, will try again. read more

We ate at Shorty's on 11/26/2016 in the early afternoon. Worst food and service we have ever experienced! We had to wait about 20 minutes for our waitress to ask for our drink order. When she brought our drinks she slammed them on the table. After placing our order it took about 50 minutes to get our food. She slammed our food and silverware on the table. The food was terrible. On our receipt A Collins was on the check. Do not waste your money or time at Shorty's. read more

Yay, finally good pizza close to home! Very nice crispy crusts baked with lots of different varieties of toppings. I always order the Sid vicious. It is covered with a wonderful basil/oregano sauce and then tons of meat and cheese! What could be better? My better half likes the Van the Man Morrison which is a white pizza with lots of cheese, mashed potatoes, bacon, scallions and broccoli and served with sour cream. Sounds kinda weird but it is very good,albeit a litle rich. They have a lots of different pizza's to choose from and I hear that the salads and other entrees as well as desserts are great too. (Although I'll probably never be able to tear myself away from the Sid) I always get great service here with the same quick waiters that are consistently there. They have a nice little bar and outside seating. Also they are getting some really good live music here! Yeppers...in Tucker!! I know!! Love ya Shorty's!!! read more

We sat at the bar and both ordered pizza. It did take a bit to get our food, but it was pretty good. I ate a whole small pizza and he ate almost all of a medium. After that we had the chocolate chip cookies with homemade whipped cream. Now being a baker I am pretty critical when it comes to sweets. The cookies were okay, but could have been warmer. The homemade whipped cream however was awful. They need to fix their recipe. We will be back if only for the pizza. The customer service we had was great though. read more
