The burgers are supposed to be the best in Keller and they did not disappoint- the patties were well seasoned and flavorful all the burger ingredients tasted fresh- they have Hop and Sting beers on tap and I love the Miracle Wheat personally. Kathryn was our waitress and she was very friendly and did an amazing job. They had live music (2/3- band Street Meal, who were a very good group playing a good mix of classic rock) only negative was seat yourself when we got there so was hard to get a seat for awhile but everything else was great will be back to try more of the menu. We stopped today with our two leashed dogs and enjoyed our lunch on the patio. We brought them a water bowl and the waitress was delighted to make sure they had water. The patio itself was a nice open space with plenty of seating and lots of fans to help keep the heat manageable. The food was delicious, the portions generous for the low price. The best burger ever! We read the article in our local magazine about Shotzees and had to give them a try. I had their famous jalapeño burger, and my husband had the frito pie burger, both were delicious. We went on a Thursday, so the cocktails on tap were half price, and aluminum cowboy was $3. The meals and ambiance have been excellent, but the service falls short. We've encountered everything from servers who vanish to servers who are overly familiar with guests at our table. We've also seen a fair number of food and drink orders being wrong. Our group truly enjoys the cuisine and atmosphere, but the inadequate service is beginning to prevent us from visiting as frequently. read more

Have been going here since it opened so I figured it's time to leave a review. First, the service is amazing. Chloe and Anslea (not 100% sure how you spell her name) are PHENOMENAL. They always go above and beyond for us. Lucy the manager is also amazing and is always quick to help us if there's a problem. The live music is always great and I love that they always play the big games as well. Now the food... omg. Their fries are something I'll be craving on my death bed. Love love love. We've been looking forward to visiting since the reopen. We used to come here weekly when it was Roscoes. It's very convenient to us. The remodel is very nice. Plenty of tables and tvs. My issue is the quality for the price. Our bill was $51.96. This was for two burgers and two margaritas. It was 5:30 on a Friday night. Margaritas are $10. No happy hour price. Menu price only. We asked, but happy hour was only for well drinks. There are so many places within a few miles to get happy hour margaritas for $6, that blow these margaritas away. The burgers are ok, nothing special in our opinion. We go to Horizon 76 when we want a high quality burger. Our server did not write down our order, (my pet peeve), and it was wrong. Please write orders down. Why do you want to take a chance on orders being wrong. I don't get it. I'm not impressed when you get it right by memory anyway. It's still a new place, and I hope for the best for a local eatery. This just isn't for us at these prices for this food and drink. One of the owners came by and we talked. She thought our drinks may have been made wrong, and offered to buy me one the next time we came in. I'm not sure why I wasn't offered one on the spot. That might have changed my opinion on coming back, but that wasn't offered. Regardless, this is over priced bar food. Bacon jalapeño burger with one piece of bacon? I get three at Whataburger! Food was decent. The drink menu was great. The ambiance was honestly really good. But one bartender ruined the whole night. She was awful couldn't make a drink to save her life and was more worried about talking to people then getting actual drinks made. Her name was Justice. Also her drinks tasted awful. This is my second roll to Shotzee's, the first visit was the second week they were open and then last night about 6 weeks later. Shotzee's is a great neighborhood bar with very good bar food. Stepping inside the bar reminds me of "the bar scene" from the first Star Wars, there was a rather eclectic group of folks there and I really do mean that in a good way. So the food menu is very well balanced with appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, wings and things. This is my second round with the burgers and they are quite excellent. Old fashioned flattop smash burgers with the normal trimmings, they will not disappoint. They offer a variety of burgers, I didn't care for the BBQ Burger (with brisket) only because it was a bit too much of a conflicting flavor profile, but that is just my opinion. There are 4 establishments in the Keller/Southlake that deliver a "great burger," and Shotzee's is one of them. A friend had the Chicken Tacos. Although they are served on a flour tortilla, not a large corn tortilla, they were quite excellent, I would come here for the tacos (3) and a beer any day. I have not tried the others, but next time I will ask for a combo of one each (brisket, pulled pork and chicken - they are all the same price so that should not be a problem and perhaps it should be added as a menu item). My wife had a Chicken Salad and there is room for improvement. To truly make it a entree salad, the portion of lettuce needs to be increased, it was a short pour. Add a bit more of the chicken, which by the way was excellent, and eliminate the Pico de Gallo and replace it with chopped tomatoes, cheese, avocado or guac, strips, etc. Perhaps raise the price to $14 and make a true entree dinner salad. The wife said she was short poured on the chicken and lettuce and the Pico did not hit the mark, so go with the chopped tomatoes. But this salad has true potential. I am a true chili aficionado and I had a small sample of their house brew. This is a true scratch chili con carne, no beans. Going total scratch is hard to master, it took me years to get my home chili the way I like it and Schotzee's has a VERY good start (consider adding some canned chopped tomatoes in addition to your base and a bit (more) cumin. But last night, the sample was WAY too salty. I advised the owner and she said try it again next week. I have no doubt you will get your quantity batch just right as long as your kitchen follows your recipe. Speaking of salt, just an observation. I tried the hot dog on my first visit (we purposely over ordered just so we could make an objective review of the items). On one hand, the dog had a pretty good consistency and was a 1/4 pound "dinner frank" portion......BUT it was absolutely LOADED with sodium to the point, I truly could not eat it, and I LOVE hot dogs. Unless the dogs were resting in a warm salt water bath and then thrown on the grill at time of an order, I would seriously consider trying another product. I know some folks could care less about sodium, but this was really off the charts and is a cardiologist's nightmare. Fries are excellent, regardless if they are house cut or frozen, they are really homestyle. The onion rings are purveyor supplied and on the higher end of frozen quality. BUT, there is nothing like a house made, hand dredged onion ring. THAT is one of the things that sets one house apart from another, when they served real deal food. I realize it is labor intensive, but your customers will appreciate it and price accordingly. I'm not a wing man, so I cannot rate. I have given the owners and honest review for improvement in the kitchen and potential customers a glimpse to what is in store for them. This is a cool, neighborhood dive, I really like it. It has personality, great staff, owners that care, great bar food (probably the best around), cowboy ambiance, good bar drink offerings (I haven't really explored that too much, yet, but they have Grey Goose and that is my pour). I think Shotzee's has nowhere to go but up in terms of their food servings because their quality is excellent. Once a house cuts on quality and starts serving cheap slop, they become just another joint destined to fail. I'm a local and Shotzee's will definitely be one of my local watering hole destinations. Good luck, keep doing what you are doing, but strive for improvements. read more

Drinks are good, service is good. Owner is SO nice. Food is amazing!!!!! The live music on Friday/Saturday is usually amazing too, but go EARLY to get a seat for weekend music or it will be shoulder to shoulder, standing room only! That is the only downside I can find, which is honestly just more of a testament to the quality they provide in EVERYTHING they do. I've been hanging out at Shotzees since they opened. Ive tried most of the menu and haven't found anything I didn't like yet. My favorite is the load street fries! The owners are there regularly and talking to guests. The staff is friendly and I get great service. There's live bands several nights a week and plenty of tvs to watch all the sports I want.
