They did not have all of the options listed that they offer. When I asked about the filet I was told they would check and no one ever followed up. We had to ask for a child plastic cup for my toddler I'm not even kidding, 6 times and it was finally brought 45 mins into the meal. Salad bar was pristine and the food was great. We had to find someone to order dessert. We were only given our initial water. To get more we had to get up and go ask someone and even then no one brought us water. We saw another table being given refills and my husband had to get up and go ask the person to please come to our table. So, while the food was good, it wasn't outstanding, not all advertised items were available and the service was so horrible I would hesitate to come again holiday or not. read more

First time going and loved it! Our servers were so nice and the never ending meat was amazing! My favorites were definitely the grilled cheese with honey, grilled pineapple, and ribeye! Their sirloin, filet mignon and pichan were also delicious. Fogo who?? Show de Carnes has superb meat quality and flavor, and they ensure every piece of meat or pineapple you get is fresh off the grill! The different meats came around frequently. The top sirloin, shrimp, and lamb were the only cuts of meat that we had to wait many rounds for (they somehow kept skipping or missing us). But I'm sure if we asked someone they would take note and bring us some. Don't miss out on the grilled pineapple and baked cheese with honey! They're really great for breaking up the meat cadence. The salad bar was pretty standard, with a few additions like fresh sushi and fancier fruit like papaya. If you're around Mill Valley or Sausalito, it's definitely worth a visit! read more

Came here for Father's day. The restaurant looks really big from the outside. On the inside it's one big dining room. It's dark inside and each table has a little lamp. theres a big chandelier over the the salad bar. It reminded me of a casino. we had a reservation and were quickly seated. Once seated, someone from the bar came and asked my family if we wanted tequila shots. We declined. I thought that was little odd and came on a little too strong. The salad bar had some unique options compared to other brazilian places. They had sushi, shrimp that was in some kind of mayo sauce, calamari rings, ceviche, mussels, leek salad, papaya, and mango salad. I did enjoy the papaya and mango which were really sweet and ripe. the shrimp was good too. The calamari rings were cold and fresh, and went well with salad. I didn't try the ceviche or the mussels. The sushi was ok. It wasn't terrible, but it's not for someone who is a sushi snob. It's kind of like sushi from a grocery store. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing because it's a Brazilian place, not Japanese. The best meats were the garlic steak and beef rib. I was a little disappointed that I asked for beef rib like three times but it didn't come until the end when I was already almost full. They had chicken hearts which was unique. it was seasoned well with a perfect amount of salt but I just don't think the texture was my thing. The service was ok. My dad was craving Brazilian steakhouse and we also heard that they had sushi, which none of the other Brazilian steakhouses we've been to had. The sushi itself was okay, it wasn't bad but it also doesn't blow you out of the water. If you're a sushi enthusiast/connoisseur don't set your expectations high. It's primarily steak so it's to be expected that the meats are the main stars. In particular, the beef rib and the garlic tip sirloin were the best ones. I personally also liked the texture of the chicken hearts. In regard to the service, it was alright. My work had a holiday party here but I missed it because I was sick. All my coworkers told me how great this place was so I decided to come here again with my husband to see what it was all about and wow! We had such an amazing experience! We came during lunch time on a weekday to avoid the crowd. It was not busy at the time. All the decorations inside are so pretty and everything is super clean. There is a beautiful buffet table in the middle and a beautiful bar. They gave us a little sign where we can flip to green so the server can come to us and ask if we want more meat, or turn it to red if we don't want anything yet. We started with a salad bar. They had so many kinds of salads and a lot of sushi and sashimi selections! They also had side dishes like mushrooms, fruits, soups, rice, cheese, etc for us to get whenever and as many times as we wanted and everything was very tasty! Our servers kept coming to us to offer many selections of meat (all kinds of beef, pork, chicken, lamb). I do not eat beef but my husband really enjoyed it. Chicken leg was a bit dry for me. My favorite was lamb chop and I really like the grilled pineapple. It was a bit sweet but tasted very interesting! They also got us fried bananas which was very good and I had to ask for more. All the staff was super nice and polite. Bathrooms were very clean but I wish they had a place for us to hang our purse. Much of the meat tasted like it was cooked then frozen then cooked again and served. The meat had a very strange texture and they were all overcooked. The salad bar was fine but Fogos is better. The best thing was the cheese bread balls. It was better than other Brazilian places I've been to. The service was aggressive and pushy trying to upsell. The waiter kept challenging us when we said we didn't want a second round of drinks. Who does that? The location is up against a freeway in a mini mall in Marin City. There are faux leather couches outside in front of the entrance zip tied to the wall. The couches have cigarette burns all over them. The interior does not look great. I would give it another star if it wasn't so expensive. The cost is the same as the Fogo's in SF yet it is no where near as good and as nice as that. read more
