    Rueben

Stopped in last night for a bite to eat, wanted to try a local spot and not a chain. Service was great and food pretty good. I got the Rueben w/fries and hubby got chicken fried steak. Rueben needed for dressing, fries were hot n crunchy needs seasoning and the mashed potatoes were thick not flavorful. Two ate w/one soda for $38+$7 tip

Chicken fried steak. Corned beef hash with GREAT hash browns! Sausage patties. Biscuits n gravy. Etc.

From a 4 plus when they opened thru most of 2025. But - by the End of January 2026 we were both disappointed. We have visited this place a good six or seven times over the last year for B-L, and it was always excellent. The staff are awesome, the salad bar was superb, the food was cooked correctly at a great temperature and tasted wonderful. However, the end of January 26, we tried to go there and they were closed and we didn't know why. No sign. We returned the next week, and had breakfast and I don't know what happened - maybe cooks were a no show in show low. Super polite and fast service still occurred. Comfortable seating. But I'm Unsure what happened in the kitchen. Hash browns were white, no color, and thus tasted more like oil than potatoes. We both requested eggs over medium, and they both came out over easy with whites not cooked. In a bacon/egg sandwich OE just doesn't work well. But it was a good egg! The croissant was recommended for my brekkie sandwich and was good but the cook smashed it flat - that is a big no-go and defeats ordering a croissant. Don't know if I'm right or wrong and it does not matter to me, but they tasted like Costco croissants, which is great. I think they're fantastic for a commercial product and when heated up they are hard to beat. But I don't think this one was warm....they need to go into the oven for a few minutes to heat up the bread and liven up the crispy flaky nature. Sausage Patties were a little too brown/ overcooked this time. The Pancakes were delightfully still way above board though - delicious!!! We will return and hope the cook from before is back or that someone is overseeing the plates of food before serving them. (No updated photos). Their salad and soup buffet was excellent when we last visited! Please keep in mind that unless the owners are cooking at these places, or they have somebody there that is consistent and grounded locally, that sometimes keeping a good cook up on a mountain or in a rural area can be a challenge. I know this one and am forgiving. We always give restaurants a second or even third try!!!!

Eggs Benedict, and biscuit and gravy. Both were wonderful.

Food was wonderful. Service was good. Hubby loved his biscuits and gravy. My eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked. Will certainly be back.

Friday Fish Fry was really good. Tasty and worth the stop. Service was quick and the newly upgraded interior was nice.

Traditional breakfast. Super yummy. Pancakes were light and fluffy!! Really enjoyed the coffee refills consistently! Small wait but worth it. Will be coming back. Really liked the renovations.

WELCOME BACK! We are here on re-opening day! Yee- Haw! This was a last minute lunch when we saw they are finally re opened today. The menu is a great mix of classic cafe goodies you would hope for when here. We ordered the Cobb Salad- so good! Lots of goodness! Very fresh and a great price for the size. The staff is learning and yet delightful. The restaurant is fully all new and clean! Come and enjoy all the goodness! Enjoy!

I had the best crunchy French toast I've ever eaten anywhere.

I had the best French toast I've ever eaten anywhere. Also had the breakfast tacos which were amazing. Our server, Nathan, was a delight. We'll definitely be coming back when we're in this area.

We were able to go around the building and park in a much larger lot used by the Showlow municipal complex. We came in a side door followed a party of three. The server saw them and asked them to sit in an open table (while balancing plates she was delivering to another table - pretty impressive!). She then asked the hostess to seat us. Outstanding service! We were seated and the hostess took our drink orders. My wife wanted orange juice and she said they were out of OJ. We placed our orders. While we were waiting for our orders, the hostess came back over to tell us that they just got some Orange juice in. My wife ordered it and it was delivered a short time later. My wife liked her multi-grain pancakes. My omelette was good as were the new potatoes. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy had a very nice hint of black pepper in it. It really made the biscuits and gravy stand out. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended!

Several of us ordered BLTs. The first person to order hers asked for her bacon extra crispy. The waitress said its always crispy. Well, we were served BLTs with a sad amount of sad grey fatty limp bacon. Luckily I was splitting a BLT and a patty melt with a friend so at least I had half of that to eat. It wasn't amazing but tolerable. Other than the bad BLTs, everyone's feedback was food was ok not great. Sides of fries and onion rings seemed like frozen food supply items but were fine. We did notice some plates had a lot and some very little. We got coconut cream pie to go and the crust on these really stood out. Has to be made in house. I'd come back for pie.

I tried the honey matcha one day and returned another morning for a sugar-free caramel iced coffee. Both were excellent! I consider myself a bit of a coffee snob because I grew up in the Portland, Oregon, metro area, where good coffee is practically a way of life. Finding coffee in Arizona that truly impresses me is not always easy--but Cyclelogical Coffee absolutely delivered! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the shop had such a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Several people were working on their laptops while enjoying their drinks, making it a great spot to relax, catch up on work, or simply plan your next Pinetop adventure. We also tried two of their breakfast burritos, and they were exactly what we needed before heading out for the day. They were big, tasty, filling, and reasonably priced--the perfect fuel for exploring the White Mountains! They also offer pastries, fun shirts, and even a few toys for the little ones in your life, so there is plenty to browse while you wait for your order. Great coffee, delicious matcha, hearty breakfast burritos, friendly service, and a fun local atmosphere--Cyclelogical Coffee has it all. The café is small, quaint, spotless, and filled with playful bear décor that gives the whole place a warm, cheerful personality. It has the cozy feel of an old-fashioned country diner--the kind of place where you can settle in with a hot cup of coffee and enjoy a hearty, homemade breakfast. And let's talk about the food and those portions--OH MY! I ordered three eggs, bacon, hash browns, and homemade biscuits and gravy. Everything was cooked to order, arrived surprisingly fast, and tasted wonderful. The biscuits and gravy especially satisfied that serious comfort-food craving I had that morning. They were warm, filling, and exactly what I needed! The coffee was a good, strong black brew that fit the country-café experience perfectly, and the prices were exactly what I would expect to pay for such a generous breakfast. The restaurant was busy, and with only two waitresses working, they could definitely have used another set of hands. A few guests had to ask for coffee refills or their checks, but this is a brand-new restaurant, and I am sure they are still working out the little details. The staff was working hard, so bring a little patience and enjoy the experience. Lovely Bear Cafe has all the ingredients to become a local favorite: delicious homemade food, huge portions, reasonable prices, fun décor, and plenty of small-town charm. Give this new café a chance to delight you the next time you are visiting the Pinetop-Lakeside area!
