This is a great little country diner gem. I really enjoyed the casual family ambience and the service from my waitress Christa was excellent. The food: I had a bacon omelette and pancakes. The omelette was tasty but slightly over done, but not so much I didn't eat the entire thing! Eggs are fickle. The pancakes are fantastic. The coffee is standard diner coffee and the waitress Christa keeps it coming. No complaints there. Good tasting breakfast associated with the Days Inn. High priced for the fare, I enjoyed the omelets and hash browns are okay. The cook is clueless with over easy or sunny side eggs, way under cooked. Waitresses are fun and very service oriented. Dinners are very expensive for the meal, It's a hamburger!!!! The fries are too thick and heavy. I think it should be a $$$ not $$. Stay at days inn enjoy a good breakfast, no extra cost. Might make up for the hot water issue. read more

This is A great little small town café. In the evening, they have a salad bar and soup buffet. The menu covers everything from hamburgers, great sandwiches, and good home cooked dishes. I got the liver and onions, it was outstanding! One of my friends got the burger. The burger was so big he had to cut it in half! This was Named On The Rim Last year the Show Low Cafe is Much improved. We shared the bacon and scrambled egg breakfast with a biscut and gray as a side. The food was served quickly and the servers kept the water and coffee full. My next rip I hope to try a Lunch menu item. read more

Ownership changed a year ago, and it is now hit & miss on the food, but the service has always been great. We had Thanksgiving dinner in 2021 but did not return this year. Stopped in for lunch a couple times but the salad bar offers less & less each time we go. The soup is still good. My big complaint is that this restaurant is closed on Sunday which is when we enjoy going out for breakfast. The restaurant is connected to a large motel so I'm sure it's inconvenient for guests. Can't figure this one out, but doubt we'll be going again. read more

The rueben is good but the service is crap. My server never came to check on me after she dropped off my sandwich. Never asked how it was or if I needed a refills the poor hostess had to find my ticket because the bimbo server was missing. I can go elsewhere, pay less and get better service. Really disappointing experience yesterday. Had the salad bar. There were several items missing. We waited a good 10 minutes to get someone to attend to it. The soup bar was, we'll, underwhelming. The soup is put in the soup bar fully cooked and continues to cook in the soup station, to the point that everything in the soup is seriously overcooked. My wife ordered the ribs and they were undercooked. Ended up taking them home so she could cook them more. It's pretty obvious this place is mismanaged and way understaffed. Tired of giving this place 2nd chances. If it weren't for the 20% veterans discount this would be a 1 star rank. McDonalds is a better option. read more

It's sad when a restaurant is worse than fast food. First time in Show low and wanted an afternoon snack. Stopped in for a to go order. Slow response from wait staff to even acknowledge they had a new guest. Got the mushroom and Swiss burger and asked for all the trimmings. Excellent breakfast! Super, home town, friendly vibe, huge portions, and they will never let your coffee go below half full. The food always comes out quickly and all the staff has been very friendly in the dozen or so times I have been here. We recently stayed at the Days Inn and found out that their breakfast is done in the adjoining Show Low Cafe. The coupon they provided gave some good choices and provided a real breakfast. This is obviously a local favorite. The beaufifull people from elsewhere are lacking but who cares. read more

Came here 2 years ago, I wasn't impressed. Came back a few months ago and things have definitely changed! Almost everything (90%) is made from scratch (I asked) and fresh. Came in on Saturday 7/23/22 and we had a 15 minute wait to be seated which was fine with us. We were called in the 15 minute window and was seated and the waitress came quickly and took our order. After waiting 40 minutes with no explanation ( short of help?) we left without our breakfast. Many other patrons before us were also waiting for their food. Stopped by this place on our way through Show Low, Az. We normally go to Sweethearts cafe but they were closed Tuesday. Was a bit before 11 so a lot not open. Tried this place and was impressed. I got the ham and egg. The ham was a whole plate size, egg whites were perfect and potatoes. Husband got an omelet which was good as well. Cute place, they sell local people's art which is on the walls or shelves. I think that's great. Fast service and our waitress was always checking on her customers. Best breakfast offering on the mountain. Hearty, HOT, delicious. Pleasant surroundings with tons of art offerings from locals. We haven't tried other meals here, but we bet they are consistent with the quality of their breakfast. Their salad bar looks delicious and offer soups as well. Only down side is you have to walk up a set of creepy stairs to have a cocktail. That's a road block for seniors. Overall, love it.
