    THE GRIT BOWL with bacon
    Foua Y.

Local here. I've been here numerous of times. service is always hit or miss. The workers present today around lunch time did not want to be there. I entered with no recognition or greeting. Stood at the pickup area to pick up my online order like an unwelcome house guest. The woman packaging the orders just tossed my bag onto the pick up counter with the name showing because she clearly wasn't going to service anyone. The entire interaction or lack of was in complete silence. That was my final straw. The food is not that good to tolerate the service. Attached is a photo of my grit bowl with bacon, sub scrambled eggs. I understand there's gonna be oil but I was not expecting an entire layer on top. I went through a handful of napkins to keep myself clean from each greasy bite. I used to get the wrap until they changed the price. The lattes are watered down and flavorless, definite pass. The wings do have good flavor, the price is just outrageous for the quantity. Just like the service the food isn't consistent. Cold ambiance inside, usually empty because most locals know it's not worth the money. I usually bring my friends here since I live so close by but not anymore. TLDR; bad/rude service, inconsistent food and overpriced for the lack of quality

Had a chance to visit this place. I think the place was good if you like sandwiches that are on the greasy side. They were flavorful, and the sandwiches were a decent size. Place was clean and location was close to a lot of the hotels downtown. Not sure i would visit this all the time but it hit the spot.

Great location next to the Superdome, anytime a home game is on, this place will be super super super busy, yes I know because I ordered a breakfast sandwich with hash browns, I waited over 1 hr from order to finish. What's sad is I was with a group of 10, everyone got and ate their order but mine was pushed to the side. Seems Uber eats and DoorDash are high priority than walk in clients, maybe if a home game is on, suspend those orders and solely focus on walk in clients, the experience will be better, the staff can handle the flow, I just saw too much orders and not enough staff. To wait 1 hr to have a brioche bun with a sunny side up egg, very very nice crispy bacon, it just wasn't worth it. I will say the hash browns are the best I've ever had from a quick in n out restaurant, it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Bits and pieces of seasoning mixed into the hash brown, I didn't take a picture because before I realized it, I ate them all since I was soo hungry.

Great fried chicken sandwich and delicious sauce! The fried chicken was perfectly sized for the sandwich. Not too big and each bite had everything you wanted on it. The fries were also delicious and I tried my friends cheese sauce for the loaded fries and it tastes like yummy queso from Johnny Sanchez! Definitely will go back! Quick and easy to order.

I ordered the 3-pc tender meal with waffle fries. My meal actually came with four tenders. Perhaps because they were on the smaller side, but I'm only speculating. You have your choice of various dipping sauces, including bbq, honey mustard, ranch, and house. House is a play on Chick-fil-a sauce, and it was pretty good. The cost was $9, about what I'd pay at Chick-fil-a. The chicken was seasoned and had a good flavor. The fries were reminiscent of Rally's with the seasoned coating, but in waffle form. They were ok. I think they were overcooked because they were on the harder side. The food came out quickly, so that was pleasing. Service was also fine. The restaurant feels airy with all the natural light beaming in and high ceilings. I'll be back to try some breakfast.

Had chicken sandwich and it was very good. Service was self serve but people were friendly. Price is little high for the location but at least food was very good.

Sooo it's giving overpriced Chic Fil A but it was good food. I went in to order pickup and they did get my order wrong. The fries were pretty good but they were fried harder than most places which was okay for me because they were thick waffle fries. Chicken sandwich was also fried a little hard but it was ok as well. I wish I had a little sauce on the side for dipping. The lemonade was really good but was pricey for the size. The place is small but was clean.

Showbird My wife and I went here for a breakfast / brunch this weekend. We really enjoyed it. We both got the Banty Rooster which was a chicken biscuit with bacon jam and "birdy" sauce. We both enjoyed it, but thought the bacon jam was a bit overpowering. But every bite with the birdy sauce was awesome - that sauce made the sandwich in my opinion. Parking... this is near my job, so we didn't have to pay for parking. But if you didn't have a place to park then you'd have to pay for parking. Reservations.... N/A - just walk in. Would be perfect if you wanted something casual before an event at the superdome / smoothie king center.

This was a truly horrific experience. My husband had ordered a showbird chicken sandwich and it was huge like in the picture. This is what we got today. A tiny flat piece of chicken that looked half dark and half white. Absolutely horrible. I actually cut off half the bun because there was not enough chicken. I want to know what happened between the first picture ( not my hubbies) and what we got today?

The executive chef is definitely cooking very very well!!! We loved the Blue Crab Ragoon App as well as the Crab Cakes. There was nothing left on the plates. For entrées we had Banana Foster Pain Perdu, Side of Duck Bacon, Hashbrown, 100% Seafood Gumbo and Fried Catfish. Everything was seasoned to perfection and hot!!! Last but definitely not least are the Cocktails which were very good. Try the Cold Brew Martini if you like iced coffee type drinks and also try the Strawberry Lemon drop for a sweet treat. Both taste great and have a nice amount of spirits in them. This is a must try in NOLA. Will definitely return!!

You have to wait in line to order/pay so depending on how difficult the group(s)/people(s) orders are ahead of you, will dictate how fast this process will go. The place is much bigger than I initially expected. There are 2 floors with seating. It would be hard to accommodate a large party but there's plenty of seating. I live the old 80's/90's theme and decor. Such a great throwback. We ordered 2 drip coffees (you get them in a to-go cups but you can get free refills), and the Grand Slam McMuffin. Both were great. Wish the sandwiches were bigger for the price you pay. $11.50 for a breakfast sandwich is pretty steep, but it's the price you pay considering everything is homemade. I would also like to point out that there is a discrepancy on the price of adding an egg. The menu says it's $2 more but we were charged $2.50. They should really update their menu or be upfront about it. Overall a great place to have a great breakfast. * Please note that you're not allowed to have someone save a table while another waits in line to order. You must order first before being allowed to take a table.

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices!
