My opinion, rating and review have completely changed taking a 180 degrees turn from the previous one star to 5 stars! What made me to do that? First of all the welcoming ambiance. Secondly, the professionalism that was demonstrated in quickly receiving and seating the guests! Thirdly, the courtesy and politeness displayed all through the whole session of our meals! Special mention goes to Sheetal! Fourthly, being transparent about the final bill by asking to check the bill and explaining the fact that there is a 10% gratuity already included but as we are only 2 people, we have the option to get the 10% removed. It is mandatory only for a group of 6 people and above! Up till here, already 5 stars! We had been to them for their weekend buffet special at CAD 18.99 plus GST 5%. And when it came to the buffet spread, we were really enthralled at the variety and choices. There were in all some 27 items on the buffet table plus 2 more by way of table serving namely dosa and poori served hot to your table! So, in all 29 items. Even a spoonful of each item filled our tummy twice as much as have normally though it's a brunch - both breakfast and lunch combined - we wouldn't have eaten this much! When it comes to the quality - visual appeal, smell, taste and the arrangement - every thing scores way beyond our imagination and liking! There should have been an army excellent chefs, cooks and above all a manager must have been in place. We also saw Kalpana, the floor manager constantly moving and driving the workforce and we also saw the overall Manager Natarajan paying regular visits to the floor! We could see the whole place is full and bursting at seams, though it has an ample seating area. What was striking was the demographics of the customers. They were all from every part of the world, not only from India! Things have certainly improved a great deal and we could see a sea change in every aspect of managing this place! The buffet had rice varieties from every southern state - curd rice, plain rice, bisibele baath, soya pulao/biryani, and then baby idlis and baby uthapams. For the curries they had only 1 mix veg, that was sweet and creamy, and chhole. There were couple of chutneys. For dessert they had gulab Jamin and kesari( sheera). Tricky part- food was running out, and getting cold, restocking was slow. You pick the idlis and the sambar is out. You come for the sambar and the uthapams and idlis are cold. The puris and dosas are to be served at the table, and then you brought the sambar and chutney and chhole at the table and the dosas and puris never made it for 15 mins, and all the food in your plate is cold. How much rice can you have? Finally when the dosa was brought in apologetically was burnt bitter. The poor server had to apologize and offer free coffee. Overall this was far from our desire to have simple South Indian dosa meal. I'd stay away from the buffet for sure.

And when someone orders six pieces of chicken, they're obviously going to need more than a single serving of fries (just saying). Each piece of fried chicken was quite small, especially compared to chain restaurants like Church's Chicken or Kentucky Fried Chicken. I assume that this is because they use only halal meat in this restaurant (which I'm guessing is more expensive and more difficult to obtain than regular chicken). But to their credit, the restaurant's owners gave us eight pieces of chicken, which we appreciated as it helped make up for the small portions. Unfortunately, the chicken was also not salted and didn't even seem fried. It looked and tasted more like "boast chicken" which is the less oily and less greasy version of fried chicken. I can't speak for any other menu items at this restaurant, but I wouldn't recommend ordering their fried chicken. If you want to get a tastier fried chicken (and you're not afraid of going to Richmond) go to Red Rooster Fried Chicken instead. If you didn't know, they provide 3 sizes for their biryani and appetizers - normal size, family size, and party tray. The party tray can easily feed 12-15 people while the family tray can fit 7-8 people. Here is what I ordered - :: Crispy corn family tray - this was a big fit! You didn't even need to warm it up, it tasted good as it was :: chicken majestic family tray - such unique flavours and the chicken was cooked to perfection :: vijaywada chicken biryani party tray - our all time favourite :: paneer 65 biryani party tray - another favourite :: double ka meetha - first time trying it and definitely won't be last. It was a bread budding with alot of ghee and tasted delicious!! They provided a lot of raita and salan with the biryani. All of this was just enough for 30 people!
