Tasty chaat (Northern Indian street style food) place in Strawberry Hill area. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall lot. My understanding is that this establishment is the upscale sibling of Apna Chaat House (temporarily closed) just a few doors down. In fact my friends and I were directed here when trying to eat there. As of the time of writing, the establishment had a social distancing entrance, with hand sanitizer and a doorperson. There is an elevator (the restaurant is on the 2nd floor) but it's faster to simply walk up the fire escape stairs. The place looks pretty modern, with a classy bar area and plenty of dark painted wood. Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially since none us of us knew what half the food items were. Gun powder wings - nice and crisp. Golgappa - nice light hollow puffs that are eaten after getting filled with the included spicy tamarind (and other ingredients) juice. Definitely quite tasty as long as one gets past the sulfur smell of the juice. Chicken 65 - not as spicy as I had hoped. Also the pieces were dry fried (ie not covered in sauce), unlike every other place where I've had this dish. Actually reminded me of Taiwanese salty peppery chicken, though the spice mix is obviously different. Kheema pav - chicken curry with diced onions served with 2 square buns. Chicken kulcha - stuffed bun (split in half) and filled with chicken and onions and other goodies (and a slice of jalapeno). Served with a side of cooked onions. Tasted fine but the portion was rather small. Dahi batata puri - golgappa on steroids basically. Filled with tasty goodness and covered with yogurt, cheese bits (?), and sweet sauce. Mango lassi - cold and refreshing. Basically a pureed mango or two. Overall the food and presentation are quite good. Portion sizes are a wee bit small (especially the chicken kulcha), but this also means one can share more dishes.

Golgappa shots; the water was too sweet

The vegetable pakora were good, garlic naan was fresh and yummy, the raita was good, the rice was good but the salad was wilted & soggy and needed to be cleaned out better, so besides eating a few awful, old, wilted, damaged looking lettuce.... everything was delicious!!! Keep up the good work! It was delicious!!!!!!

The Mango Lassi was a creamy and refreshing delight, providing the perfect respite on a warm day. We couldn't resist trying their Signature drink, the Blue Hawaii, which was not only colourful but also served in a fun and quirky hanging basket glass. As for the appetizer, we opted for the Honey Chilli Cauliflower from their Indo-Chinese menu, and it struck the perfect balance between sweetness and spice. Of course, we couldn't leave without experiencing their renowned tandoori dishes. Thanks to the unique spices and clay oven cooking, the Malai Chicken Tikka was incredibly tender and flavoured. For the main course, we tried both the lamb and vegetarian offerings. The Tawa Lamb truly stood out with its rich blend of spices, while the Sham Savera, a spinach and cottage cheese dish, offered a unique and delicious vegetarian option. Overall, the delightful food of Curry Lounge left us completely satisfied, and we're eagerly looking forward to our next visit for another round of delightful Indian cuisine. Food: 5/5 Must Try! From the moment you step in, you know you're in for something special. It was a delicious experience from first bite to last! Every dish is full of rich, layered flavours that truly capture the essence of Indian cuisine. The spices are balanced perfectly, and everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It's rare to find a place where every item on the table feels thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour. Each bite was deeply flavorful without being overpowering, and the aroma alone was enough to make the experience unforgettable. The balance of spices in every dish was perfect, creating a harmony of flavors that left us craving more. Every single dish was absolutely delicious...you can truly taste the love and care the chef put into it. The food was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned. Each bite was pure comfort, and the flavors were deeply satisfying without being overwhelming. The fish tikka was served sizzzzling hot! The Hunny Chilly Cauliflower is a must, seriously addictive! It had the right sweet-spicy balance! And the Vada Pav Sliders were just as satisfying! Every dish was bursting with flavour, each one seemingly trying to outshine the other! It truly felt like the dishes were competing among themselves for our attention -- and we loved every bite. The butter chicken was an absolute hit! But dip some garlic naan into it and it's game over! The butter chicken was comforting, nostalgic, and unapologetically classic--proof that when done right, simplicity is everything! The garlic naan was perfectly crisp at the edges, soft inside, and fragrant with just the right amount of butter and garlic! If you love rice you cannot miss the pulao! I cannot stop raving about the flavour and spice of the Karahi Chicken. And paired with the butter naan, it's an elite combo! The dishes are fresh, well-seasoned, and full of authentic taste. The staff made recommendations of some amazing food that I normally wouldn't have tried. You can really tell the food is made with care and authenticity. What I really appreciated was that the spice level could be adjusted to our liking - such a thoughtful touch. A big shoutout to the chef- thank you for putting so much heart into the food. You can really taste the care and balance in every bite. But what made it even more special was the amazing hospitality -- the owner and staff were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about food. They made sure everything was perfect, gave great recommendations, and always checked in at the right time without being intrusive. Service like this truly elevates the dining experience. They took the time to explain the menu in detail, offered thoughtful recommendations, and genuinely checked in to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell they truly care about the experience they're providing. The food is simply outstanding--modern Indian cuisine at its finest. Every dish is a delightful fusion of bold flavors, creative presentation, and authentic Indian spices, elevating the entire dining experience. You can tell they've put real effort into keeping the traditional taste alive. From the taste to the service, everything was top-notch. From the location to the interior, everything fits the vibe perfectly and feels authentic the moment you walk in. Combined with friendly service and a comfortable environment, Kesari is a place that invites you to stay, savour, and truly enjoy your meal. We will definitely be visiting again -- and more often. Do NOT sleep on this place for some good Indian food!
