It is also nice they offer half's and full sandwiches so you can try multiple half sandwiches! I've tried the Mississippi River, Phil and cheds, and the Alcatraz. The Alcatraz was far my favorite one. The Mississippi River was good too. They also have a back patio that's dog friendly! I cant wait to come back and visit and try more!

There wasn't that much line when I went, they take your other at the kiosk by the bar. They have a large assortment of sandwiches, comes in whole OR half (which is half the price of a whole). I ordered 2 half sandwiches, "The Meatball" and "The Steak Out". It didn't take long at all to make my sandwiches and they also have options to customize specialty sandwiches if specific toppings are wanted. The Steak Out was the 1st sandwich tried, and was the best one out of the two. The steak was cooked medium rare but isn't too rare at all or overcooked past that if you are worried about that either. Not only that, but the jalapenos and the pepper mayo are to die for, and they didn't completely soak it in sauce (which is a common concern as well). Everything tastes so freshly made, with half a sandwich honestly being more than enough for 1 sitting. Overall rating 8.9/10. The Meatball was very good as well, meatballs were cooked well throughout and tender to the bite. I am not completely mad at the Baguette being the bread of choice but they couldn't have went wrong with ciabatta neither. It was a very solid sandwich, nothing too extraordinary but nothing I can really complain about neither. Overall rating 8.3/10. In past visits, I have also tried the Enzo Gorlomi (basically a spicy italian) which I thought was better than both sandwiches I tried during that visit, but I may be biased because I love spicy italian sandwiches. Should still try though in my opinion. All in all, I would definitely come back to this place when I'm in the area, pricing is pretty good for the food amount and quality you are getting. Vibes are cool in there, they seem like a business with a lot of experience doing what they do. I wouldn't say they are the absolute best in St. Louis... yet, but they are definitely up there for sure. They are also open until 1:30AM Tues - Sat so its a great late night option.

I recently stopped by after an appointment in STL. It was right at lunch time and it was also, opening day for the Cardinals. So when I entered, the line to order was already long. To my surprise, the one lady taking orders, moved that line quickly. So I give her major kudos. When it was turn to order, I was ready. I went with a Double and swapped out the American Cheese for Pepper Jack. For my side, I tried their Salt&Pepper Onion Rings. After ordering, I took my number stick and took a seat at the bar. Once seated, the bartender welcomed me and I ordered a draft beer. I barely had completed my Wordle and my burger basket was being slid in front of me. Before taking my first bite, I admired the crisp edges and actually ran my finger around them. My first bite was heaven. It proved to me that all a good smash burger needs is; ketchup, mustard, onion and pickles. The Onion Rings were made in house and the simple seasoning of Salt & Pepper made them a winner. While dining at the bar, I learned a new trick. If you're going to be sitting at the bar to enjoy your smash burger, you can order it from the bartender. That's right, no standing in line to order, you can go straight to the bar. Great staff. They all hustle and provide friendly and professional service.

I wish there was more meat because the patties are smaller but it was so good! We ordered a side of fries and cheese sauce and they were good too. I wanted to try the garlic aoli but thought the burger was enough garlic (I was wrong!! I should have gotten it!) We got the Carmel crunch shake and it was so good too! The restaurant has plenty of room and they have games to play which is fun! The tables are large so plenty of room for eating and games. We enjoyed the tap selection too. This restaurant has it all! We will definitely be back.

I was taught by brother that you should book your first dinner reservation as after flying all day, one is tired, and not able to make good decisions...hence eating at a TGI Fridays in New Orleans on our first night. I have heard about that since. Charlie's had the perfect vibe going as it has a great reputation. Wendy was also simply amazing and shared may stories of St Louis and was just a tremendous server. The only thing that tricked us was the Toasted Ravioli. It has meat in it, and my wife is vegetarian. The Arancini was terrific and the table bread was also quite tasty. My wife had the Manicotti and I had the Chicken Lemonata. So great. The bottle of the house Gitto's Red was the perfect wine as well. A great experience at a restaurant that is a legend in St. Louis and I am glad it was our first meal in the city.

Although claiming to have invented the toasted ravs, really did not enjoy them. Caprese salad was good for this time of year- early June. My go to meal to rate Italian restaurants is chicken Marsala, and was unfortunately the worst. Chicken was overcooked, rather tasteless and hard to cut. Very little sauce, but good mushrooms. Side of red pasta helped but was too sweet.

I'm disappointed that it took me so long to make my way here. They won me over with the tiny dedicated parking lot. At my big age, difficult parking situations are a turn off and I will go home if I can't get reasonable parking. I was able to snag a space in the lot and headed in. The space is a bit dark with rich sage, brass, and terracotta. There are several hanging plants making it an inviting place. The bar has plenty of comfortable seating and cozy tables if you decide to bring some friends. Caleb was our server during our visit. He was an absolute delight. He made excellent cocktail suggestions. He looked after our group without being overly doting. Just a gem of a human. We tried approximately 9 cocktails during our visit. Did I mention we were at brunch! I highly recommend the peach bite and the Side Car. Every cocktail is thoughtfully made and well executed. They offer a small brunch menu along with the regular menu. I usually always get chilaquiles when they are available. But today the ruby trout and grits sounded perfect. This dish was amazing!! The trout was thin with crispy skin. The grits were creamy and delicious. The dish is topped with a house made radish pico and salsa macha. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was paired with the crispiest breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The burger and fries are also a good option. The seasoning on the fries is next level. The brunch menu has a sticky toffee roll that is a perfect size for sharing or not. Salty sweet fork tender cinnamon roll. Lastly, the deviled eggs were a group favorite. I am a big fan of Passenger Chili Crisp. If you are unfamiliar please look them up! It's hands down the best chili crisp I've ever had. It's locally made here in STL and can also be found in several dishes at restaurants around town. The eggs were creamy with the right amount of tang from the mustard. The chili crisp made these deviled eggs easily top five best I've ever had! Planning to stop in again soon for happy hour with more friends

We loved how they had the garage door open for the air to come in on the nice day. The bar / high top are had plenty of space and was very comfortable. They had a great happy hour around 3pm, both our appetizers were on the happy hour menu, as well as our Pinot Grigio drinks. The food was excellent, we had focaccia bread, and fried calamaris. We didn't have them but the wagu sliders and chicken lollipops both were popular at the other table. We also got a white chocolate tiramisu to go that was fantastic. Great bread = Great dessert Really appreciated our waitress / bartender that day, she said she had four grown kids of her own, as well as appreciated the rest of the staff. Unfortunately though, this restaurant seems to have a case of quantity over quality in terms of food items. There are far too many things on the menu for them to perform well at all 40+ menu offerings, or at least that's my opinion of what might be going on here. I ordered a glass of prosecco and the prosciutto con melon appetizer to start. This was actually quite nice flavor wise but if you're going to charge $22 bucks for an appetizer you better load my plate up with prosciutto!!! For me personally, 3 pieces of prosciutto, a pile of arugula and some cantaloupe is not worth 22 dollars. I then ordered a side beet salad and mushroom ravioli. This is where things took a turn for the worse. Beet salad was decent, I just wish they put more of the toppings. Was basically just a bowl of arugula. The mushroom ravioli was sadly a let down for me. The pasta was rolled far too thin on top of the filling and far too thick on the sides so unfortunately the tops of the ravioli were paper thin and overcooked while the sides were still raw. Really unappetizing to cut a ravioli open and see raw pasta. Honestly the flavor was pretty rich but not terrible it's just the ravioli itself wasn't well executed. The lovely waitress noticed that I wasnt completely satisfied and took the ravioli off the check. I ordered some "wagyu" sliders that were juicy but in desperate need of some salt. She also offered me a free dessert which was a warm olive oil cake which had a nice orange flavor to it. Honestly quite a nice ending to an underwhelming meal. Would come back for drinks, though.

There are only about 12 to 13 seating options, with only about 5 or 6 of them being non-bar height options. Nikki was our server; she was awesome, helpful & attentive! Everything is a la carte. Boooooooo! Lol. I'm not a huge fan of restaurants that serve a la carte. But whatevs. I started with the Charleston drink. It was good and strong; came out in a fancy box w a lil smoke. It was semi dramatic, lol. We decided to order the collards and spinach artichoke dip to start with. It was good. It gave spinach and artichoke dip for the most part. The seasoned saltine crackers that accompanied that were not my favorite, but not the worst, & we had to ask for more to finish the dip (we were unexpectedly charged for them -_____-). I wish it was pita bread or pita chips instead, but I guess the crackers are Lucy's special touch. We finally decide on food; she got the catfish po boy, I got the brisket sandwich. She said her sandwich was FIRE but I didn't try it so I can't speak to that unfortunately. My brisket sandwich was ok; it had queso on it and it was kinda cold which was wack. The sandwich was a decent size for sure, I just could have went for a different bread personally. The ciabatta bread overpowered the actual meat. I asked for bbq sauce to dip and eat pieces of the brisket. I want to come back and try the Brussels and catfish po boy myself.
