Last time I go to Shrimp Basket. We ordered online at 5:30 pm. Arrived at 6 and received food at 6:35pm. No one knew what was going on another customer left because it took more than 40 minutes to get their food. One of my sides was sweet potato fries and they gave me like 10 fries - are you kidding me? Evidently their work release staff had to leave early. So no cook works there. Unbelievable! Didn't offer me a discount either. It should have been free. If you are struggling- be honest and say it will be 30 minutes, or our cook staff left! Crappy place! It had been my deceased father's favorite spot in Foley. Gotten sorry.

If you're in the mood for friendly down to earth service, you found it. If you want pretentious, don't come. It's like your favorite dive bar. Couple TVs on, a bar near the kitchen, inside and outside seating. The food comes in a plastic basket. Don't forget dessert. The Key Lime pie tastes to me like the real deal, and the brownie bites are the real star here. They also have their own beer, brewed by Fairhope Brewing. Otherwise it's the mass distributors. Prices are reasonable too.

The oysters taste perfectly oceanic! Perfectly prepared and seasoned. Nice little spot for a quick lunch. Service spot on.

Shrimp Basket in Foley is a perfect place for a delicious bowl of seafood gumbo. I have eaten gumbo since a child when my grandmother would make a huge homemade pot of this delicious southern deliciousness- Shrimp baskets gumbo touched my soul with the dark roux seasonings and gravy like texture! I recommend not only because of the gumbo but the wait staff are remarkable!

This is a locally owned chain. My uncle loves this restaurant and wanted us to visit when we came in town. Lots of seafood options, the drink specials were pretty Amazing too. They have both inside and outside seating. We opted to eat outside. My grandma ordered a salad, my uncle the shrimp po boy, and I ordered the pineapple habanero wings with fries. They have homemade ranch that I would buy by the bottle. Great service.

Fried pickles, two dozen oysters on the half shell.

Would I recommend shrimp basket? Yes, on a couple of conditions. I would not eat at the one at the beach. It's a total tourist trap. We ate at the Foley location today for their happy hour and their oyster special. Being used to New Orleans area seafood you can get kind of spoiled with prices and amount of food compared to other areas. We had two dozen oysters that were beautiful Louisiana oysters by the way. They were fresh and very tasty. We had the fried pickles and Yuengling beer all on happy hour. Our waitress was justice and she did a fabulous job very friendly welcoming knowledgeable very pleasant. I can recommend the shrimp basket during their specials outside of that. I'm not 100% sure.

Service: quick and friendly. I think they are going through new staff, but nonetheless our orders were taken care of Food: *wings- new on the menu. The pineapple mango habanero sauce (not spicy at all) was very delicious. It's not your regular wing where the skin is crunchy, but still good. *shrimp skewers- over cooked. Barely had any of the sauce that it comes with. The rice was dry and bland. *gumbo- not what I expected Overall, a place you try once and that's it.

Wait staff didn't seem to care and nothing was very impressive. I'd pass on the crab cakes. Just a typical fried food type of place.

One of the standout touches is the little shop inside, filled with all kinds of great finds--soaps, mists, lotions, and even kitchen accessories. It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

Our waiter was very polite and very friendly. It pains me say this, but we had awful experience with our food order. I ordered the grilled shrimp plate and husband ordered the fired oyster plate. My grilled shrimp plate, was over cooked. My husband fried oyster plate, " he found a long black hair... wrapped around one of the fried oyster". Manager took the fried oyster plate off our bill. People preparing the food " need to make sure they're wearing a hair nets."
