Ok, so we chose this restaurant because my husband is a vegan. There were plenty if choices for him. The drinks were great, the food was fantastic and the server was great. She answered all of our questions and went out of her way to make sure our order was EXACTLY the way we wanted it. On the flip side, the atmosphere was, meh. But I don't think there are any fancy restaurants in Cocoa Beach. The place Wes full of locals. We will definitely be back to enjoy the food. Siam Orchids is a nice place. But my family found it very loud and crowded. We had to wait to be seated for about 10 minutes. We had to wait a loooong time to order our food. Once we finally ordered we had to wait another half hour. Food quality was very good. Had sushi and fried rice. BUT, they did not honor the Yelp checkin offer for a free beer. Disappointing. There is so much competition for sushi, they really need to step up their game. The rolls were good but they could be better, my eel roll was missing the eel sauce and the roll should have had avocado. These omissions are really unforgivable. The pad thai was tasty, but the best thing about it was the serano peppers pickled in fish sauce (ask for the hot sauce, they bring an assortment of chili powders, pastes and these pickled serano chilies) which really elevated the dish. I travel on business a lot, and I'm always looking for the good sushi joint in town. This was recommended to me from a client, and it was incredible. The white tuna was to die for, and the sushi chef showed me his techniques for cutting the fish I was eating, which was a lot of fun. This is my favorite sushi bar in Brevard! The owners are a wonderful family who run several places between Cocoa Beach & Melbourne. They always notify me when their uni comes in fresh & they have made several custom rolls for me that they perfect! Their fish is always fresh, their rolls are beautiful, their sashimi is high grade, and their service is wonderful! They are efficient, kind, attentive, yet not over bearing. They wait patiently for the right time to speak without interrupting their guests conversations at the table, and they are always quick to fix any mistakes (if they even make one!) I wouldn't go to any other sushi bar around here. Everything else is sub par! read more

Although there were only two waitresses serving the whole restaurant, food came out within appropriate wait time. I had fried broccoli and tofu in brown sauce. The sauce was very salty! My husband had red curry tofu and veggies that did not at all taste like curry! The vegetables were fresh. Overall, maybe another visit would provide improved results. read more

Have been a weekly customer since 2014. Always been pleased with the preparation and quality of the food. I really enjoy steamed dumplings and always look forward to ordering every week as an appetizer. The quality up until this week has always been very good and is so superior to the other choices in the area except for one near the Port. It seems like Siam Orchid has gone to pre-made dumpling that has a very thick dough. There is nothing subtle or appealing about these new dumplings; I suggest avoiding them unless you really like the stuff from the grocery store freezer case. Also, these dumplings are very similar to the dumplings at the two takeout places at both of the Publix shopping centers. They must all be buying from the same supplier. Up til now, I actually thought these were made at that restaurant. So far, the other menu items seem to be maintaining the taste and quality that has been very good over the years but this change to the dumplings will send me to the other high quality Thai restaurant in Cape Canaveral. read more

I too was intrigued by the giant boat of sushi! Its an easily missed location, and doesn't seem like a restaurant from the outside. But was really glad we found it. The place was big and spacious; when we arrived it was slow then slowly picked up. Portions are big and delicious. Service was prompt and fast. For our appetizers we had: Summer Roll which was reminiscent of a vietnamese fresh summer roll but had too many carrots. The Crispy Squid was lightly battered, fried but not greasy and the sweet chili sauce compliments it well. And if you never had shumai before, you have to try the Shrimp Shumai. I had the Three Flavors Duck for my entree. It has good flavors but could use a little more kick. Although I wish they would cook the duck a different way, probably baked or seared - it was fried and came out dry. Other than a few quirks here and there, I would definitely come back to this restaurant. read more

Made me sick! First thing I notice is how stinky the place is. That should have been enough for me to walk out but I decided to give it a chance. Wish I didn't... ordered take out that took way too long to be prepared. Waitress was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Got the food and it was definitely sub par. Got a different roll than I ordered and it was eehhh.. also ordered the Tom kha coconut soup. I then found what what that smell the took over the restaurant was. I don't like to give a negative review if I have received good service so this does not reflect on the waitress whatsoever. Now, for the preparation of the meal leaves much to be desired. The food was so bland and tasteless we were guessing what region of Thailand the cook learned from. Don't be deceived by the fact that it's in a strip mall next to a hotel. The people were all very nice, service was great, and the food was delicious! We had a shrimp tempura roll, which was fresh and tasty, wonton soup which had fresh veggies, age tofu which was just ok, and the tofu soup, which was excellent. "It's my birthday!" Anywhere you want to go honey, it is your birthday after all. She chose Siam Orchid. For it being Thai and Japanese cuisine, we couldn't quite figure out why Siam was in the name, as that is Chinese, but we didn't let this deter us. The staff seemed unsure of where to seat us, but was very friendly upon our entrance. We were given a moment with the menu, and ordered our drinks. Water and iced chai tea for myself, sprite for her. From a can that was opened for her at the table. We ran up quite a bill from there. 2 appetizers, (spring rolls, and tiger tears,) a soup, (tom yum going,) pad lo mein with chicken, 2 special chef rolls, (super crunchy roll, & sea of love roll,) and 2 desserts. ( We really meant to order one, but we decided that if they mis understood, that we would gladly take 2.) The food was great, fresh, flavorful, and the specialty rolls very well made, with fantastic presentation. Sadly, the reason I have not awarded them with 5 stars is because of the dessert. The green tea ice cream had an after taste that led me to believe that it was freezer burned, and is was served covered in chocolate syrup, and whipped cream. The fried cheesecake, apparently was completely frozen prior to frying, which is understandable, but the center was still rock hard, and apparently they ran out of spoons, so I was forced to use a fork, (I prefer the fork anyway,) but it also came smothered in whipped cream and chocolate. I recommend the food, but maybe dessert is better had elsewhere. read more

I'll start off by saying the restaurant has a great feel to it. The decor is good and the staff are very friendly. It felt relaxing. I eat alone when I'm traveling for work so it was nice to be offered a booth instead of seating me at the bar (which most places do when you are dining alone). I ordered a small bowl of Tom Kah to start followed by the key west roll. The reason I gave this place 3 stars instead of four was because of the Tom Kah. I love Tom Kah, it seems like the perfect bowl is a little bit of heaven. Maybe it's just a personal preference but this one seemed to be all coconut milk. I'm used to Tom Kah with more broth and a much more developed flavor. This one was not good and I would never order it here again. The sushi room was good and so was the service. For sure check this place out for sushi but stay away from the Tom Kah. read more

My favorite place to eat Asian food in Brevard County. I'm here 2-3 times a month. Staff is nice and food is very good.

This place is next door to La Quinta hotel. The sashimi and makimonos are ok but nothing special. I did enjoy they tom yum shrimp soup - very fresh and clean flavors. They do have many different cold sakes to try. Service is good. I would come again and maybe try their thai dishes. read more

A group of 11 of us on spring break stopped here for our last dinner. We ended up asking to be seated in the adjacent bar, and they were nice enough to put together some tables so we didn't have to wait. I tried both the rainbow roll and the shrimp on the rock roll...both were delicious! Our server brought us out 11 washington apples on the house...awesome! We did some sake bombs and had a great time (which makes me glad we were in the bar area than in the restaurant lol). I would totally recommend Siam Orchid. read more
