My favorite street style Thai food spot in the OC. There is indoor and outdoor seating offered. The service is super quick and great. All staff members are willing to check in on you. As for the selection, it offers all traditional Thai dishes such as fried rices, Tom yum soup, curries , pad Thai, pad see ew, chicken satay and many more. There's spice levels up to level 5 and can always add additional chili oil for extra spice. Love the option of adding fried eggs to any dish. My favorite fried rice is definitely the Tom yum and also the crab fried rice. The mango sticky rice is by far the best I've had vs anywhere else. This place is always packed but you never feel like you're waiting a long time to be seated or served. I would highly recommend trying ! read more

This place is definitely on the good Thai list, the menu has a good variety of dishes from stir fried to khao soi etc. feel like a combination of central Thai to northern. Their esan sausage would be one of my favs a must try appetizer here. The pad Thai was decent more on the sweeter side but their crab fried rice and curry looked good. Have this place on my list for so long and I think this place did not worth the hype. Located in a strip mall, the place is relatively small. There maybe about 8 tables in total so it is pretty cramp inside. We got Tom Yum soup, Pad see ew, and Papaya Salad. - Tom Yum soup: the most anticipated but also the most disappointing dish. It was cold and extremely sour. It was difficult to finish the soup so we decided to bring it back and add more water to make it more edible. - Pad see ew: probably the best dish out of everything. It is smoky and seasoning was perfect. - Papaya Salad: decent and mild spicy, I like the crunchiness of the green bean. Not sure I would come back here, there are so many better Thai place to choose from in this price range. I wouldn't wait to dine in here either. This review is for the horrible customer service received. I placed an order online, and my credit card showed that the transaction was approved and the money was taken out of my account. I never received a confirmation which I thought was odd. After trying to call them 100 times, I went to the restaurant to see what happened. They claim they never got my order, but I proved to them my card was charged for the order. They didn't care, her response was to call my bank. Obviously there is something wrong with their system. Took the fam here yesterday because I wanted to try something new and my sister picked this place based on how many good reviews they have on here. We waited about 20mins for a seat outdoors. Here is what we ordered: Siam Station Fried Rice: (1/5 stars) This was bland. Where are the flavors? There were no distinct flavors or taste to this dish that I can even recall, not citrusy, not spicy, not salty, not umami. It tasted like rice fried with some food coloring and a few greens thrown in. Extremely disappointing. Pad See Ew: (1/5 stars) The bland taste continues. Did they only add one drop of dark soy sauce? Another disappointment. The flavors were dull and flat as the noodles in this dish. This was just so dry. Usually at most places this dish would consists of a little bit of gravy or some saucy element but it lacked that here. The only thing that I recall liking from this dish is the egg. Pad Kee Mow: (1/5 stars) You know an Asian place caters to a more Caucasian palette when they don't ask for spice level and everything is done with no spice. This particular dish the server said is made with "medium" spicy. Medium spicy? There was no spice or kick to this at all. This tasted exactly like the Pad See Ew but with bell peppers. Kapow with Filet Mignon: (1/5 stars) I took one bite of this and I said no. Everyone else can finish it cause it tastes just as bland as everything else. My sister ordered this so I didn't get a chance to see what flavoring it is but looking back at the menu it shares very similar key features as the Pad Kee Mow hence rendering it just as flavorless. Tom Kha Kai: (3/5 stars) The one decent dish. The broth was pretty good except it was a bit too sour, it needed a more balanced taste of creaminess that I am used to at other Thai restaurants. Every other restaurants bring out a butane table top stove for this but they serve this in a lukewarm bowl. Aside from the food tasting quite bad and flavorless, the lack of proper containment for the soup to keep it hot- I find the pricing to be absurd as well. Don't make the same mistake we did and pay $3 extra for each dish to have "filet mignon" in it. It was dry and very chewy, not soft. Other places only charge extra if you add sea food to it. Looks like they only offer chicken or tofu with the entrees and upcharge you on any other protein you want so each dish comes out close to $20 and the serving is not even big. Overall, extremely disappointed with the food and felt like a regrettable decision. We got food elsewhere afterwards to fulfill our hunger. Would not be back and would not recommend this place to anyone especially when there are so many other good food options in the area. read more

I didn't realize there's a Thai restaurant in Irvine that is so good. It's pretty authentic. There was a long line when we got to the restaurant. The restaurant is cute but small. There are tables outside to accommodate the overflow of people. The food is delicious. We ordered the papaya salad, though it was a little salty, but it was so good. The basil tofu eggplants were tasty and full of flavors. The shrimp pad thai were amazing. Definitely order this! The coconut chicken tom Kha khai is delicious! The chicken fried rice is tasty. Overall a decent spot for Thai food. They ask that you put your name and party size on the waitlist even if there are tables available. The inside of the restaurant is relatively small so you might be sitting pretty close to others if on the booth side. We were given menus but I didn't realize there was a backside to the menu so I didn't look while I was there. The service was decent. They took orders quickly, food came out fast, they took trash off table but they never refilled our waters. The food was good but did not blow us away. Portions are on the smaller side. read more

AHHHHHMAZING! My friend recommended this place and we decided to try it out after work. We had to wait a few minutes before being called to sit down. We called before coming and was told the wait was 30 minutes. However, we didn't wait that long. We also decided to sit inside since it was freezing outside but they do have tables for outside dining. I honestly wish they had heaters outside. Food: + Chicken Satay: The chicken was so juicy and tender and love the marinate it had. Also the peanut sauce was perfect and the cucumber chutney helped out on the sweetness of the peanut sauce. + Jungle Papaya (Laos Style): YUMMY! I love how they add so much lime! I miss having papaya salad in family parties and this just reminds me of home. I also love how they added the salty crab which my friend enjoyed. This dish is so refreshing and just made dinner 10x better. + Pad Thai w/ Chicken: My go to in any Thai restaurant. It honestly has to be one of my favorite place for pad thai now! It's so flavorful and the portions were more than what I expected. I had enough to take home and have for lunch the next day. + Khao Soi w/ Chicken: My friend had this dish and she enjoyed it! I got there just before they reopened at 4:30 pm after a post lunch pre dinner 90 minute break. 3 guests were already ahead of me. It was an experience seeing 8 employees walk in at 4:28 pm and have them go their respective stations and spots in the kitchen and the front and then hit the all systems go on button in 90 seconds flat. Very cool. I got a warm welcome from the Manager who seated me with the menu. I noticed that the theme was Thai street food with a simple and not too crazy menu with a nice variety of salads, soups, noodle and rice dishes, 3 curries, appetizers and 8 entrees. I had seen this really yummy and colorful photo of the Basil Eggplant with Prawns posted by the business owner on Yelp( photo #12) and decided on that one. It was served steaming hot in a huge bowl( twice the size of the same dish in the photo posted by the owner). This entree was a tasty stir fry made with 6 gigantic and juicy prawns cooked with fresh garlic and shallots, seasoned with a sweet and salty brown sauce and finished with fresh basil. I soaked the rice in the sauce and it was a great match. Well done! The very nice couple next to me got the Chicken Satay( wow), the Tom Yum soup that smelled heavenly and the Chinese broccoli with chicken that also looked very appetizing. I saw the waitress serve this awesome looking yellow curry dish to another patron. The service was very personal, warm, fast and on point. The entire team was very aware of all guests and their orders. The restaurant filled up by 4:50 pm. They also had a steady flow of take out customers. Another great Thai spot! It's pretty popular though and not a lot of seating so if you're planning on coming, I'd factor in some wait time or get there earlier non-peak times. I had the crispy pork pad see ew which was tasty. The papaya salad was just okay but the curries were good. Since it's a small place inside, I guess they tend to prefer reserving one side of the restaurant for 2 seaters which we had a group of 4. I guess they stick the 3+ parties on the other side at this awkwardly positioned table that's more like a 3-sided bar table so you're not quite able to look directly at your peeps. We insisted on sitting on the other side and pushing two tables together which eventually they did but I just thought it was weird that they'd not initially want to really do that if there's space. read more

This place is always relatively busy and the only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is due to the fact that the customer service can be a bit lacking as I recently had an experience where the side of the container was drenched in sauce and they still stuck the container into the paper bag, resulting in the bag getting all gross. However, the food was still good! The pad see ew, the pad thai, Siam station fried rice, the chinese broccoli with fried pork belly and mango sticky rice are all tasty and delicious selections that are packed with flavor and decent portion size. I've had on random occasions the fried pork belly be a bit too fried and hard to chew, but generally it has been good and pairs very well with the vegetables. I can't imagine dining in the restaurant as the one time (and final time) I went to go pick up from the front counter, I had to weave past people standing/dining outside, as well as the packed tables on the inside. At least with the crowd, it solidifies just how attractive this restaurant may be and I certainly prefer to order from this location for take out. Overall, I love ordering mobile take out from here as it is very solid thai food. I do find it semi annoying that they add a hard-to-remove sticker on their take out plastic containers which results in me tossing it into the trash, instead of attempting to re-use the container. read more

I don't normal leave reviews but I thought this post may serve some usefulness to the regulars or the owner of the establishment. I've been getting food from Siam station for years now. Typically through deliver service via DoorDash. The food has been excellent and easily one of my top Thai restaurants in the area. There have been two issues I've noticed recently. First off they no longer allow you to add for prik nam pla as a condiment in to go orders. This has been going on for a while now. Although annoying it did not deter me from ordering the delicious food. I'm just lazy to make it at home. My second more serious gripe is that while their new restaurant is opening up on Jeffrey, the taste of the food has changed. The seasoning is off. Something is off. As if a new chef came on board to get trained to manage this chain. I've noticed it in several dishes including their papaya salad, tom yum noodle soup, Penang curry, Chinese broccoli with meat. It's been a hit or miss lately. I'm not sure if the original chef is going to the new location or if the business owners changed but it's enough to make me reconsider ordering food from here again (even though I love it so much). Hopefully it's just a temporary fluke. If the old chef went to the new location I'll be getting my food from there moving forward. read more
