Decent! Came here while in town for a meeting and decided to give them a try! Being from NY, I have a slightly higher expectation when it comes to food. The staff here is very nice and attentive. And the food came out surprisedly fast. Like within 5 mins of ordering. Overall, the food was okay and the ambiance was like a normal order out venue!

I came to Bangkok Kitchen on a weekday for lunch and we had a table reserved. Our server was so nice and sat us down with water right away, which I always appreciate when I'm hungry and ready to eat. We ordered everything family style so we could share, and I have to say I was surprised by how much my coworkers were raving about the fries here. After trying them, I totally get it. They were so delicious and honestly kind of addictive. We asked our server about the seasoning and he told us it's the owner's own recipe, which makes them feel extra special. The rest of the food was pretty standard Thai food, solid and satisfying. I also love that they keep a variety of vinegars on the table so I don't have to ask!!!

Such great service, and such great food. My Thai food cravings had kicked in and eager to try somewhere I haven't been, I came across this restaurant. We came early on a weekday afternoon, around 3PM. The parking lot had plenty of spots open so I snagged one not far from the entrance, somewhat close to the dry cleaners. We walked in and were greeted and seated immediately. With only 1 other party in there with us (they were almost done eating), their service was focused on us. We ordered the following: - Papaya Salad: This was tasty. It consisted of shredded green papaya, green bean, garlic, and tomato tossed in chili and lime dressing. There were shreds of lettuce in there as well and we weren't sure if we were supposed to mix it, but we did anyways. It added more crunch to it and the salad itself tasted fresh. My girlfriend thought it was spicy but it had no effect on me. - Pad Thai: This was my dish and the dish I lean towards at almost every Thai restaurant. I just love thin noodles. I chose Angus Beef (+$2) and I feel it was the best choice. I also got it without bean sprouts :). It was a delicious large portion. No complaints. - Pad See Ew: My girlfriend's order, the typical flat noodle dish with egg, broccoli, and sweet dark soy sauce. She opted for pork. It was good, but I'm not a fan of flat noodles. She enjoyed it though. Service was excellent. I'm not sure of the gentleman's name but he wore his hair in a ponytail and had glasses. He was very friendly and helpful. I don't see parking being a big deal, but maybe in the late afternoon hours it may be difficult to find a post. Overall a good experience. I will definitely be back!

Was in the area and craved Thai so I yelped Bangkok Kitchen. Located in a strip mall with other restaurants and businesses, parking was a bit crowded but we were able to get a spot immediately. Walked into a quaint, clean establishment. There were probably 4 other table tops and some folks waiting for carry out orders. The staff was friendly and responsive. We ordered the cream cheese wonton, shrimp pad Thai and crab fried rice. I appreciated the pics of the dishes on the wall as it helped us in deciding what to order. We couldn't believe how quickly our food was ready - it was crazy fast! We really liked the quick and nice service and loved the food. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars was because the serving size was a little smaller than we expected. There was enough to take home for leftovers though. That just means that the food was that good- we wanted more. Definitely a must to come back here!

I'm not a huge fan of Thai omelettes I've given them about 2 tries. My friend who is Thai told me to try this one and I'm thankful for his suggestion because it was very good. I can't resist in ordering pad Thai because this one is here is very good and not too greasy. Thank you again for another great visit

My daughter was in the mood for Thai and found Bangkok Kitchen. It's a small hole in the wall restaurant, but the food is good and the service is great! The pad thai was tasty. We also ordered garlic pepper with beef and stir fry broccoli with beef - both dishes were okay, my daughter said her dish could use more garlic flavor as she kept pouring the sweet and sour sauce over it. The fried chicken wings and tofu was perfectly crisp. Our server was friendly - our water cups were never empty. There is an 18% automatic gratuity for parties of 5 +. Parking is in a shared lot, no issues on a Sunday afternoon.

On a last minute trip to Southern California and this was luckily near my hotel. They have a nice selection of dishes on menu and you can also create a bowl from scratch. But there was a spicy pork one that had a lime based broth and that is what drew me in. The broth was everything. Seriously, could have just drunken a cup of it straight. Amazing tang, perfect balance of acid. So freaking good. I picked thin rice noodles for it, which where delicous, and there was generous serving of ground pork, pork slice, and some other meats that I honestly have no idea what they were but they were tasty. And it had two fish balls, which I LOVE. There was so much that it was easily two servings but since in hotel and leaving tomorrow I couldn't take leftovers with me, which made me sad. Other highlight, only $15 for bowl which is fair price. If I come back to area, I'm coming back to here. Hopefully with someone so we can share and I can try more. The table next to me had some great looking dishes.

We were in the mood for Thai and sort of ended up here unexpectedly and it was ultimately a pleasant surprise. We grabbed the pumpkin curry and spicy basil. The pumpkin curry is not a dish I would really every order myself but I'm glad we did, as it ended up being a lovely dish with a great combination of pumpkin and spice. The spicy basil was pretty standard but in a way I didn't mind. Both dishes hit a spice level we wanted and always appreciate. It is a skosh on the expensive side, which was surprising for the environment that gives takeout vibes.

Love this place! I've been here multiple times and have always left feeling satisfied with the service and quality of the food. The Pad See Ew is my go to dish. It's flavorful and the noodles are always cooked perfectly. Service is pretty quick and friendly. The space is on the smaller side and more of a quick bite place, but is kept clean and comfortable.

This is our go-to Thai spot. The servers are always very attentive. The wait for our food is always fast. And the food is consistently delicious and flavorful. Their curries are my favorite, especially the panang curry and pumpkin curry. We tried the tom yum soup yesterday, which was very delicious. It is the clear broth type (tom yum nam sai), not the milky type. Presentation for the plates are also pretty. (For the soup I forgot to snap a picture before I stirred the soup btw!)

    Yellow Curry
    Jasmine R.

Bangkok kitchen was good but it's not the best Thai food I've ever had. We ordered the Yellow Curry and the Spicy Fried Rice. The flavors on both were good, but we had wished they were a little spicer. We also ordered the Papaya Salad. Again, the flavors was great but they put iceberg lettuce in the salad which is not something I've seen before.

3 appetizers, 6 meals, 4 beverages $188. Reasonably priced restaurant.

Happened upon BK to meet friends, none of us had been here before. Parking was a breeze on a Sunday afternoon and no wait to be seated. Nothing special about the ambiance, standard fast-casual. We got egg rolls and calamari appetizers - tasty egg rolls, I didn't try the calamari but my friends liked it. Main dishes were Prik King pork, yellow curry, pad see ew (angus beef +$2), and Tom Kla soup (shrimp +$2). Not as good as Thai Town, but very good for OC Thai. There are additional charges for things like no ice in my Thai coffee +$1, but everything is detailed on the menu and our server let us know. Note that the automatic 18% service charge is for parties of 5+, which is unusual, but it's on the menu and the server circled it on the receipt. It's also calculated from the subtotal, not including sales tax, as it should be. All restaurants should follow their lead, it's so much better to be transparent. All in all, a good dining experience, and I'll return if I'm in the area again. Conveniently located on MacArthur just west of the 55.

Massive parking lot so that was easy, one friend went ahead and let them know we had 10 incoming. They made room and we sat immediately. One of the spots that you scan a menu at the table and you review, order and pay all in the app. I was really not familiar with the line up and went with the "House Special Beef Pot Roodle" (Roodles are their rice noodles). It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. I took that part home and my wife loved it. I tend to avoid the fatty meat and tendons are not good to me. 10 of us so some of the appetizers got passed around. The smashed cucumbers are excellent, and my buddy also got some friend potatoes of sorts, reminded me of a fat French fry. Because my buddy and I sat at the same table we scanned the same menu, he ordered a bunch of stuff and also House Special Beef Pot Roodle. That confused the kitchen and they asked me if I meant to order 2, I said no and didn't realize I cancelled my buddy's order. Part of the confusion of a large party and many scanned menu orders. My buddy was struggling to order and our initial waiter seemed to not understand my friend and that took a little bit to work out, young lady came from the back and was able to quickly resolve some of the confusion and get questions answered as needed. In the end he had lot of food to explore. One thing that caught my eye was several couples there and sharing a large soup item served with a tray of various food items for the soup. Kind of a date night visual and something that looked very interesting. Several couples around us had that same dish and its got me more curious. Might have to come back with my wife and try this one.

I ordered their most popular dish, the A1 set, but honestly, it didn't really live up to the hype for me. The broth tasted pretty underseasoned overall. From what I understood, you're supposed to mix all the toppings into the soup with the noodles, but even after doing that, I still felt like the flavor was lacking. Yes, they provide seasoning on the side, but personally, I wish the broth already had enough flavor on its own without needing to adjust it myself. Would I come back? Probably not. Nothing really stood out to me enough to return, and it felt more like a one-time experience. Overall, everything was just okay.

I was quickly sat down and brought my own pitcher of cold water. Upon letting them know, staff were quick to kindly explain my options for the meal. This spotlight let me try a signature noodle dish, side, and some of their broth as well. I opted for the oil-poured noodles with beef rib and the cucumber salad. They allowed me to select spice level on both which was nice. I also ordered one of the rock sugar pear beverages. I had actually asked my server for a cup of ice, but when I poured in some of my drink I noticed some debris of something had been on the ice. When I let staff know, they were very quick to address the issue and also brought me another bottle of the drink which I appreciated. The drink itself, by the way, was delicious. It reminded me of Korean pear drinks I've had but a little less sweet. The food also came out quite quickly. The portions of both the cucumber salad and the noodles are very generous. The beef rib isn't one of the back ribs that's mostly cartilage, but rather had a ton of meat. There were parts of it that were a bit difficult to chew, but for the most part it was quite tender. Also, I think if you ask, the staff can cut the rib meat up for you with scissors. The cucumber salad is fantastic at Six Alley. It's not only acidic and refreshing but somehow has a deep savory flavor without being heavy on oil. I was also worried about oil in my noodle dish, since some Chinese noodle dishes can be quite heavy on the oil, which was likely to be the case for "oil poured noodles". In reality, the noodles turned out to have just the right amount of oil and seasoning. The star of the show though really are the titular "biang biang noodles". They are very clearly hand pulled fresh, each having a slightly unique shape, and have a very satisfying chewy texture. The broth, while simple, had an incredibly deep and developed flavor. I'm assuming this is the same broth they use for their clear broth noodles. The food at six alley is great and the service matches it as well, something consistent with how I remember my first visit being as well. I will definitely return to try more of their menu, and am very thankful to Yelp Elite OC and Six Alley for making this happen!

The wontons come in a super rich and delicious sauce that I actually got scolded for pouring over my noodles lol. The light and clear broth is very refreshing and well-seasoned. Even with the unlimited customization options, they also offer limited-time ramen bases as well , like a pumpkin ramen, crab ramen, or even a curry ramen just recently. These limited-time ramen flavors are always so creative AND tasty, so the announcement of a new limited-ramen always gets me rushing over to try it!! The ambiance is excellent as well, and the addition of the patio provides a nice and private scenic breeze, with extra bonus points in practicality for providing a nice space for pet owners like myself when I have my dog with me! Not only is the food and ambiance great, but the service is spectacular as well. The servers are attentive friendly and quick, so I'm never waiting long! Extra special shout out to servers Bao and Kenny!!! Both Bao and Kenny have been my server time and time again, and both of them provide beyond exceptional service at lightning speed!! The managers too have been so wonderful to me as well, with Nike, Brandon, Britt and Chuong facilitating such wonderful dining experiences every time I visit!! I can't recommend this place enough to all of my friends. With their continuous dedication to quality, quickness, and care, I've found myself coming back again and again

My go to is the combination beef with egg noodle, soup inside. If they have it, with a donut. Parking is not the best but if you can find it it's worth the wait. I frequent here at least twice a month. Even more during a cold day!

Maybe it's nostalgia or maybe they've just lost their taste buds. What really bothered me was the service. Why hand customers a menu if you're not even going to give them time to look at it? I had barely sat down before a waiter rushed over asking what I wanted. I told him I had just sat down and hadn't even opened the menu yet. He rolled his eyes and walked away. I kid you not....about 30 seconds later, another waiter came rushing over asking the same question. I felt rushed and annoyed at the same time. What's going on here? To be fair, I grew up eating here and have returned about three times as an adult. Unfortunately, each visit has been worse than the last. The restaurant seems to have no motivation to improve. The place feels dirty, the food is mediocre, and the customer service is pretty terrible.

Hue Kitchen got a glow up and I'm here for your girl…read more The menu covers all the Hue classics. Here, you can customize your bún bò huế with whatever your heart desires. They even offer tongue which I've never ever seen on a menu before except at my mama's house. I ordered just a regular bowl of bún bò huế. They give you so much meat, it's insane. Moreover, they include broth bones where there are still tiny morsels of meat still attached. As of it wasn't already giving my mama's house, you can also find nước mắm on the tables where you can concoct a whole dipping situation. Ten. What really sold me was #23 - tôm chua đu đủ Đặc biệt. It's so simple - fermented shrimp, pork belly, herbs, and some rice. This is my favorite comfort dish. The combination of papaya/shrimp, pork belly, herbs along with a bite of rice is the most perfect bite. Again, I've never ever seen this dish offered at a restaurant so I was absolutely beside myself. Not only do they serve this dish here, you can buy a jar of the tôm chua to go. Okay, bookmark this place and come tomorrow.

We got the bun bo hue and the banh canh with thick soup. Both dishes came out really fast in massive bowls. I was a little skeptical at first because the broth in the BBH looked pale, but was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. The banh canh was flavorful as well. Both dishes had a decent amount of meat. I inhaled every last drop of the soup. I will definitely be back!

There are really…read moreonly a handful in OC that stand out, it's hard to find a good Hu Tieu place, this one is at the top of the list! Ordered the Hu Tieu Nam Vang, which is the clear noodles with seafood, pork, and wontons, and also came with the crunchy shrimp chip. I can say the noodles, broth, and proteins were all solid! I really enjoyed this dish! Also ordered the mi kho dac biet, which is the dry egg noodles with soup on the side. This came with fried wontons instead of steamed wontons like in the Hu Tieu, also came with the same proteins and the shrimp chip. I also really enjoyed this dish! Solid broth, noodles were not too chewy, proteins tasted delicious! I will definitely be back! My only complaint is that the pickled jalapeños in the container had a weird white coating, wasn't sure if it was mold, but wanted to be safe and threw it away.

After perusing through their menu and pictures, I noticed a photo of their homemade shrimp cracker, which caught my eye, so I had to check it out. **Pro Tip: They have a Happy Hour every day from 2pm-5pm offering 10% and each meal comes with a free canned soda ** I arrived exactly at 2 PM to find an empty dining room and ordered the House Special Egg Noodles (Mì Đặc Biệt). This dish typically comes in a broth, so if you're not in the mood for a soupy meal, be sure to ask for it "dry." I opted for the dry version because I wanted something different. I noticed that the wontons are prepared differently when you order them dry: they are deep-fried to make them crispy, while the soup version features boiled wontons. The dry option was served with a special sauce and a side of broth. The dish satisfied all my cravings, with a mix of seafood, BBQ pork, crispy wontons, and a giant shrimp cracker on top. I'm not entirely sure if I'm doing this right, but I once saw an elderly gentleman mix some satay and broth into his dish to create a sauce. Ever since then, I've enjoyed my dry noodles that way. The store itself wasn't particularly impressive in appearance, but that didn't matter because I was so focused on the meal. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive; she even turned on the portable air conditioning and made sure the airflow was directed towards me. They were enjoying their lunch at the other end of the room, which made me feel like I was part of a family meal. Overall, the meal was incredibly satisfying and fulfilled all of my cravings. They even provided me with a stamp card that offers a free meal after I purchase ten meals. The restaurant has only been open for a year and is a low-key spot that deserves more attention. I highly encourage others to check it out!
