Love the lighthouse point location!!! The staff is phenom! Always on point. Love the vibe, too! They offer Meomi by the glass. My favorite items are the white pizza Popeye with mushrooms & spinach. I add truffle oil & grilled chicken. INSANE! The arugula salad is also to die over! I always add grilled chicken to it. Their curbside service is super fast! You just text the number they provide when you pull up and they bring the food out STAT. Impressed with this location!! Fort Lauderdale location however, I had an awful experience at, when they first opened. Nothing to do with the food, just had an absurd experience from the bartender, when on a Monday night (legit no one in the bar area, other than the 2 other people I was with). When I asked the bartender to let me have a sample taste of several wines they offered, so I could make a decision on which one I wanted to drink that evening. The bartender gave me complete attitude, then the GM came over and backed up the bartender, saying this wasn't a buffet!! I was appalled. I told them I would buy an entire bottle, I just wasn't familiar with the wines they had by the glass and wanted to make a decision. Brand new restaurant trying to make it and this is how you treat customers? I wasn't expecting a fresh glass each time, I just wanted to have a tiny sample to try and make a decision. Remind y'all, this place was practically EMPTY! The bartender was not busy. I bartender for years, personally. So I'm well aware of how to treat patrons. I couldn't believe it. I walked out. I have NEVER returned. They do not deserve my business after that clown show. That general manager (if he hasn't already) had no business in hospitality. I had never eaten here before but I heard it was good so I decided to eat here tonight. I had George as my server and it was MY mistake for not asking what specials they had. I didnt see the black box with 3 items in it on the top right hand corner of the menu. I guess it was due to the red lights that I could barely see and had to use the flashlight on my cell. So I missed out on the grilled artichokes and you know I LOVE grilled artichokes. I ordered the tuscan bread because they dont serve it complimentary. Delicious warm rounded piece of bread cut into 4 sections with drizzled oilve oil and rosemary and shaved romano cheese. Order it ..it was tasty! I ordered the sicilian salad that came with roasted peppers, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, walnuts and italian olives. There was also shaved romano cheese on top and I also had the order of gorgonzola cheese to go with it. It serves two so I took half home. Another delicious item on the menu! For my entree I had the truffle risotto. This is a heavy dish and the delicious taste of truffle oil really added a burst of flavor to the risotto. It was topped with pancetta, arugula, mushrooms and shaved romano cheese. I asked what the desserts were but passed as I was pretty full from the bread salad and risotto. The pizza is super delicious! Always, fresh, hot, right from the oven! You can ask for "light" if you are not a fan of dark edges. I love the lunch specials - the salad is so wonderful - far better than anything I make at home. If you don't hit the lunch special, order their house anyway it has more "stuff" in it and is even more delicious! My favorite pizza is the "Corleone". The rigatoni bolognese and chicken parmesan are outstanding. The staff is always friendly and attentive! Sicilian Oven is pet friendly too! I'm new in the Pompano Beach area and this was the first restaurant I got to try out! The ambience is a combination of a bar/semi-casual lounge - awesome atmosphere. Every employee was super friendly; greeter, hostess, server and waitress. The food was very tasty, minus the chicken wings. They were extremely burnt - almost charcoal looking. The waitress said "that's how they make them there." But I very highly doubt that such a flavorful restaurant would serve burnt chicken wings. She was very nice about it and opted to bring a substitution in which I got a Philly Cheese Steak (DELICIOUS)! In addition, I ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. It comes with a very spicy sauce but I opted to have it on the side for my boyfriend. I'm picky with Calamari but this place met my expectations! Lastly, I ordered a Mona Lisa pizza. I ordered The Hit Man pizza online through the yelp. It was very easy to move to the website to order. I was on the job when I ordered the pizza. The pizza was ready when it said it was to be ready to pick up. I brought the pizza back to the shop and the pizza was still hot. I got the thin crust and it was baked just right. The sauce was delicious and the topping of sausage, garlic, red peppers and hot peppers was amazing together. I will have to come back for dinner and try out the pasta dishes if the pizza was this good. read more

We order the food to go from their website so I can't speak to the in house dining experience, but from the look I got when picking up my order I'd say this is a casual, have a good time and be as loud as you want, type of place. So if you have kids feel free. And if you want to have a few extra drinks and laugh too loud that would work too. The food was all good except one of the two orders of the chicken parm was over cooked and uninspired. The other order, paradoxically, was better. Note that the chicken parm doesn't come with pasta. But it isn't shown with pasta on the menu, so other than the fact that often it does at other restaurants there wasn't any reason to expect it would. Pickup was a bit crazy as they are assembling all of the takeout orders at one little crazy workstation, but they did get it right. On line ordering system tried hard to make it seem like a 15 percent tip had to be added, which I think is way too much for takeout. But I did figure out how to customize the amount to something more reasonable. I would order again. Wasn't a life changing experience, but was was absolutely fine. read more

I've tried Sicilian Oven in the past and didn't care for it and a friend who never went suggested to give it another try and the second time didn't do it for me. There are some positives such as reasonable prices and okay service but the food quality just isn't there. The Chicken Parm tasted like it was fried in cheap oil and the chicken was tough and we couldn't eat it. Unfortunately the pizza was no better and we just left it. read more

Probably my favorite pizza spot - ever! The crust is crispy and amazing, I love that they have kalamata olives and not just black olives. The calamari is delish also. Felt bad though my husband didn't not like the wings just wasn't his style/flavor of choice so the waiter was concerned when we didn't want a box for them a manager (I assume) came over concerned too. They didn't want us to be unhappy with the food and that is not their fault it was just a flavor choice everyone has things they don't care for it is no fault in the cooking at all but they took the wings off the order. Great spot with delicious food and drinks! In town visiting family and we all met here right from the airport. We were door busters and got there right at 11:30 when the place opened. The staff was friendly, attentive and so patient with out 12 person party. Mozzarella sticks and the artichoke to start were wonderful. This restaurant has really gone downhill. Once a favorite of mine, now has horrible service(on several occasions), cold and undercooked food, and a manager who could turn excuses into poetry. Offering insincere apologies followed by the justification as to why my family had a horrible experience, will not solve the issue. I'd much rather him own his staff's mistakes and reassure us that the issues we had will be addressed. Rather we hear "We normally have good food", "This never happens", "It's our system's fault". At the end of the day, you can offer free meals to resolve all your problems, but when you fail to see the point a customer is trying to make, you're failing as a manager. read more

Of the myriad of so-called Italian or pizza restaurants, I tend to be a fan of Sicilian Oven as its pizzas tend to be out of the ordinary, more unique in offerings and their other food definitively Sicilian as opposed to being some sort of Italian of generalized Sicilian generic. When I first walked in, my eye was immediately taken by the fact that they had not one but two open fire ovens and that their kitchen area was in plain view, keep neat and orderly with a clean appearance. Their pizzas tend to be of the ticker crust, but of good texture. When they have it (it's generally on daily special only) their clam pizza with a white based sauce is not only unique but one of the best. When last here I ordered their roasted artichoke, their cervelatta and a glass of Chianti wine. My server, Dillon, couldn't have been more professional, polite and helpful. My glass of wine came with a full pour and when my artichokes arrived, they were three half cut portions of good size, perfectly open fire roasted, done with fresh to the taste lemon and bowl of tasty dipping sauce. They also didn't forget to give me an extra bowl for the leaves. The cervelatta came as a traditional rope sausage nicely open fire roasted on a bed of sautéed onion and roasted red pepper. Though I think more of Cambria area, hence not technically Sicilian as it is separated by the Strait of Messina, cervelatta is still from the "toe" of the Italian boot, true Sicilian enough for me, totally unlike the Swiss counterpart, cervelat. As there aren't that many restaurants that keep true to Sicilian or where you can get an artichoke anything or a cervelatta, Sicilian Oven is about as good as it gets for what it is. read more

We have ordered delivery from Sicilian Oven several times via Delivery Dudes, mostly the wood fire Pizza which is pretty good, but yesterday we went to have a late lunch at the actual restaurant for the first time. We sat at the bar which serves beer and wine only. The restaurant was a bit dark, the dining room is large and well laid out with regular tables and high tops through out, service was friendly for the most part. We noticed several of the servers (mostly young girls) were gathered at the end of the bar looking bored, we were there before the dinner rush so the place wasn't busy yet but the Service staff should be aware that they may still have a few customers like us and it made us feel uncomfortable to watch them just standing at the end of the bar as we are trying to eat lunch. We ordered wine and Pellegrino to start, we were surprised that we weren't offered any garlic rolls or any type of bread. We started with the Arugula Salad served with brushetta, Parmesan cheese and their homemade vinaigrette - The Arugula was fresh, but we didn't care for the dressing, it was overwhelming, and overly drenched the salad. For lunch I ordered the Ravioli Bolognese, the pasta is not made fresh and tasted like it was previously frozen, the sauce was good and tasted fresh which is why it was so disappointing to have it served with previously frozen Raviolis. My husband ordered the Penne Cervelletta with Broccoli rabe, he enjoyed the sausage and the rabe but he wasn't thrilled with the Penne, we asked how their pasta was prepared and our server confirmed that they do not make any fresh pasta, they only prepare the sauces, this is disappointing for a restaurant that advertises home cooked food however doesn't make their own pasta. The recently renovated favorite pizza restaurant in lighthouse point has been open for two weeks now and is a very pleasant dining experience. We took an early dinner time with our a two year old grandson and were accommodated very quickly before the crowds arrived. The service is professional and the food is great. There are many pizza styles to choose from and traditional Italian dishes too. I especially like their chicken wings which are very tasty. Parking is not a problem , no reservations are taken so expect to wait if you dine out late. read more

Then the pasta was tough and definitely cold. I politely mentioned it to the bartender. Her reply ? Yeah , they usually send everything out separately and walked away . That's not a good answer.
