Came in here on a Friday afternoon around 2 o'clock. Are used to camera all the time with the previous owners, had to check out the new menu. I noticed the cat some of the same things which is good. Gentleman with a beard and help me out. Nice fellow. He recommended a few things but it didn't seem appealing to me. I tried the try tip sandwich with a side of coleslaw. I LOVE their Asian chicken salad. The wontons, dressing, chicken, cabbage and cilantro taste so fresh and good! My mom always gets their salmon salad. Their salads are huge, but I usually eat it all, because again.. they are delicious! I've also had their tri-tip cheesesteak and turkey club sandwiches, and those were also good, if you are more in a sandwich mood! And I really like the chipotle sauce that they give you with the sweet potato fries, which are great side upgrade. I've had a breakfast burrito here as well, and it was also super legit I love that you can sit outside in the AG Village and their service is fast and friendly. I was walking by and decided to stop in. Looking at the menu I noticed no vegan options. I asked the cashier for advise on a lunch. He said they could take the cheese and dressing off the black bean burger. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of that combo. I asked if I could get the black bean burger done wrap style with no cheese add balsamic and ginger sesame dressing. He agreed. It was delicious. The avocado and dressings helped make this wrap a winner. The side of batter dipped fries were delish too. Hopefully soon I won't have to make up my own vegan options. read more

Update to my previous review. I have been back several times and the restaurant hours are being adhered to. Food is consistently good. Staff always friendly and proper Covid guidelines are being followed. My only suggestion would be to have a separate area to pick up orders that were paid online. Keep up the good work. read more

The best lunch place. I first had Sidewalk Cafe catering at a work party so I got sample a lot of their menu - everything was amazing! They have a pretty good variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads/wraps, classic sides but also healthy or veggie options. I was a big fan of their Asian salad with wontons. Recently just went for lunch and tried their wasabi wrap with ahi tuna. It was HUGE and delicious, I was able to have 2 more meals out of it! It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it for quality. I highly recommend, plus the outside patio is a bonus! read more

Omg this place is amazing. On the time I'm saying this, they have a delicious crispy chicken sandwich and it's pretty much a cowboy burger but with chicken. Best thing I've ever had. It's super easy to order, you get your drinks immediately, food comes out shortly and hot. They have the plastic apple juice that makes a apple sound if you bite in from the side. I hope I'm not the only person that knows what that is. My family loves this place. Especially my dad. It's in the best place (arroyo grande village) and is on my top 3 favorite places to eat there. I have found my new breakfast spot!! Breakfast is said to be served from 8-10:30 my friend and I arrived a little after 11 am and the cashier overheard us being bummed out that we had just missed breakfast and she said they could still accommodate us! My friend ordered the walk it off burrito and I order the basic b I was not disappointed at all!! We also got a side of French toast and tatter tots which you can honestly share a basket since the burritos come with potatoes already in it. Let me start by saying that we thought we would miss Alphys so much and we wish everyone that was part of that era the best. SIDEWALK CAFE is carrying on the excellent food and customer service and we will definitely go there over and over. BIG ALERT the coffee was excellent. When was the last time you went to a restaurant and really had good coffee??? Doesn't happen often. So that was a big bonus. We were late in the morning but decided on breakfast food. Hubby had the French toast and I enjoyed the scramble. Both were very good. No matter what you order you have to try the TOTS. Oh yum. You, your kids, your friends, everyone will love the tots. Customer service isn't great here. It's unfortunate. Use to be one of our favorite places to eat. Food took 45 minutes to get and by the time our food came they forgot a sandwich and we're unapologetic. Super disappointed. read more

I really miss the old Alphy's where the food was consistently outstanding! We went to Sidewalk Café when it first opened and got breakfast burritos and were very disappointed. Today I thought I'd give them another try for lunch. We got a turkey club and the bacon in it was so overcooked that it was black and hard. My salad had tortilla strips in it that were tasteless and stale. It was also supposed to have black beans but all I could find were a couple. And to top things off they forgot to give me dressing. I should've gone to the grocery store and just bought a bunch of lettuce and could've made a much tastier salad. So very disappointing. I gave them two stars because they did agree to refund the price of the salad since they gave me no dressing for it and it was a to go order. read more

We had lunch here and it was a great experience. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your outside table. Covid precautions are being observed (please wear a face covering except when seated and eating or drinking). The famous "Arroyo Grande Village Roosters (and Chickens)" will occasionally strut past. My wife and I were driving through the area on our way to Santa Cruz and stopped in for an early lunch and were so happy with our decision to stop. It was a beautiful fall day and eating out on their patio was majestic. My wife ordered a salad that was MASSIVE and I got a chipolte chicken wrap special of the day and both were filled with delicious and fresh veggies. We were both so happy with our meals. Employees were super friendly and willing to share all about their favorite food choices, and they didn't steer us wrong. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I work in the village and I walk there as often as possible.
