We were staying at the Westgate and found this convenient cafe inside the hotel. Perfect! We ended up visiting twice! My husband I both ordered the salmon. It was fantastic and an overall nice dinner. The day we checked out, I picked up their popular turkey club with fries and wow! It was great too! Another dining option inside the Westgate. Limited menu, but they are super friendly and convenient. Breakfast is served all day, and their desserts look awesome. I had a turkey burger, and my husband had a roast beef dip. Nothing extraordinary but decent sized plates, and it will do the trick when you need a bite. My son and I split the entree and it was surprisingly big: a nice chicken breast, thigh, drumstick and wing came with it. We went back for the $11 Caesar salad and added a salmon for $7 (about 5 oz) I think it was a generous salad. The wait times to get food was spotty; but it's a good option for hotel guests. A coworker and I recently stopped here for lunch while the MAGIC trade show was in town. It's a nice breath of fresh air from the typical convention center food and is basically attached to the convention center by the skywalk. If this review was for service alone I'd rate it much higher since our waitress was so friendly and attentive, but the food quality just wasn't entirely there for me. I had the Ruben sandwich which was a huge portion, but for the price I just don't think it was worth it. The bread was a bit soggy and the dressing to meat ratio was way off. Overall I'd probably come back again during trade show season and would love to see some refreshed menu items. read more

Dinner for 4. Walked up and were sat immediately at 530 pm. It has a small but varied menu. We ordered a Monte Cristo (heavily batter too greasy). Matzo Ball Soup was excellent per a NJ native. Hamburgers were flavorful and French fries were crispy. We would recommend and return. read more

The server was Jean sweet older lady who gave us a special they were running for the week of Xmas a free vanilla milkshake yum ! I made a mistake and drank the whole thing before the meal arrived . Ordered a lobster roll with steak fries good size roll and full of lobster if I only had my dessert last instead I would have ate the whole thing but we took a to go box . 4 stars for the service! Paul and Juana were awesome! Sunday morning breakfast (they don't open until 7:00 a. m.) I Juana as my server. She got me some desperately needed water asap and took my order. I had the breakfast croissant sandwich. The croissant was way better than expected! I had my eggs over easy on the sandwich and it came bacon and cheese on it as well. The croissant, eggs and breakfast potatoes were great, but the bacon was soft. Crispy bacon is a must. Monday breakfast I was in a hurry and Paul hooked it up! I ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon needs to be even crisper! Well for my taste anyway. Okay I digressed, I told Paul I was in a hurry and he said no problem Mr. Preston I'm your guy! I had my pancakes, semi crispy bacon, check (with the $10 taken off from the players club) in about 5 minutes. Paul was awesome. Okay so 4 stars for the two servers I had. Not only that, but your "to go" order will be taken like a "dine in" meaning, you wait for your server to take your "to go" order and also will wait for it to come out like the "dine in" orders. Were quickly seated and our server Roger was polite, professional and attentive. A party of four, two ladies and two men, we quickly divided into the soup(tomato bisque $7.00) and sandwich(Pastrami Reuben $16.00) camp, ladies for soup, men for the more substantial sandwiches. Good sandwich, I had curly fries with mine and they were tasty. Just shy of the standard for me, DZ Akins Pastrami Reuben....and quite a bit more expensive, but to be expected at a casino coffee shop. Allow me to add another review for this establishment. This was my last day at the Westgate so I thought it fitting to dine here for lunch, since my first meal five days ago was dinner here. And just like my first visit, I was duly impressed with the service, food quality, and portion size. They were offering a great special for lunch: a hamburger, fries, and a beer for $12. Not feeling too keen on that sort of heavy meal before boarding a plane for several hours, I elected to go with the Roasted Turkey Club, curly fries, and a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup, washing it all down with basic water (no lemon). First, a word about the service: Paul came to the table, and in his best sing-song voice, welcomed me to the cafe and offered to take my order. He promptly took down my order and promised to return soon with my soup. He did not disappoint, returning less than 5 minutes later with a cup of soup that looked fortified with large pieces of white meat chicken. The broth appeared a little clear, so I shook a little pepper in it for flavor. In retrospect, it needed NOTHING in the way of salt or pepper. Large chunks of chicken, scallions, sliced baby carrots, celery, and onions gave this soup the all around flavor of a made-from-scratch chicken noodle soup. This was, by far, the BEST chicken soup I have ever eaten, and I asked Paul to share that with the chef. A short time later, my sandwich came out. How this was delivered on nothing less than a forklift, I'll not understand. On top of the sandwich was what appeared to be a pound or so of curly fries. In fact, Paul promised there was a sandwich underneath, so I took his word for it and dug in. This sandwich was PACKED with Turkey, perfectly-cooked bacon, and fresh avocado. The tomatoes were so-so, but it didnt take away from the flavor of the sandwich. There was just the right amount of mayonnaise and the bread was toasted just right. Unfortunately, I could onlynmanagr to eat about half of the sandwich and barely made a dent in the fries. I hate to waste food, and think that they could offer smaller portions--especially for lunch--to reduce their waste and overhead food costs. If you come in here with a healthy appetite, you can't go wrong with anything I've seen them bring out (not just what I ordered, but other entrees were HUGE). And if you're looking for honest-to-goodness, home-cooked chicken soup, you owe it to yourself to try this place out. And if you're concerned about finishing the entire plate, consider sharing with a dinner or lunch date, or asking them for a smaller portion (wish I would have done the latter). We stopped in for a bite after seeing the Motown show and the food and service were horrible! The restaurant was not busy and it took a while for the waiter to greet us and take our order. Once we ordered our food it took forever to receive our order. My husband was ready to pay for our drinks and leave but unfortunately I convinced him to stay. I wish I would have followed his lead as the sandwiches we ordered were bland and tasteless. For what we paid I expected much better. This breakfast cafe is located at the Westgate casino. Sid's Cafe is actually named after the person who owns Westgate, whose name is Sid. I won't be biased just because of the awesome name of the place, but my experience at Sid's cafe was quite average. The decor in here is pretty nice. It has a vintage type of vibe to it. This is a nice place to use the backdrop for some photos. The food provided on the menu is your typical "diner" type food. They have breakfast food as well. The portions aren't too small at all. It took a long time for our drinks to be served and it even took even longer for our food to be served. The food and sandwiches are a little big expensive compared to what you get. If I did not have to wait so long, I would probably give this place a higher rating. read more

Ok food for high prices ($10 for half a grapefruit, $22 for a 2 eggs and 3 silver dollar pancakes and sausage) with very poor service (especially for those prices). The service made us uncomfortable and made our dining experience very poor. Some examples of said poor service/attitude: A: When we sat down, my husband asked to close the check immediately after ordering since he had to leave early, to which he responded with a snide "well, i have to put it in first" and refused to take my husband's offered CC. B: Asked for 2% milk for coffee, received a cup of milk and was charged $5. When I politely asked Scott the server about the fee, he literally rolled his eyes and grabbed the receipt. When he came back he simply placed the receipt in front of me without a word. I honestly can't complain about the food, nor speed of food delivery, but I will not be back due to our experience. Since we'd been there so long, we told him we were ready to place our food order, as well. But nope, he only takes the drinks order, which sucked, but ok. Finally get our cards back and get the heck out of there. The food is good and location is super convenient since we're staying in the hotel, but what should have been a quick 45 minute breakfast was an hour and a half of mostly waiting. I think this place has really improved over two years ago. One of my favorite dishes on my most recent visit (and one I've been craving ever since) was the Roasted Turkey & Gravy meal. There were large slices of roasted turkey over bread and covered with gravy with a side of mashed potatoes and broccolini. The broccolini was a little bitter for me, but I couldn't get enough of the turkey, potatoes, gravy and gravy-soaked bread. It was sooooooo crazy good, and it'll be my first meal when I return! Also, service was very friendly. I also had a Caesar Salad that was overpriced for $11 and sized more as an entree than a side salad. It was very good, but I couldn't order it again as a side. A pregnancy craving hit me HARD when I landed in Las Vegas and I was obsessing about roast turkey and cranberry sauce all the way from the airport to the hotel. I was frantically searching Yelp for the closest restaurant with it and what do you know it the restaurant downstairs at my hotel happened to serve it! So I get to Sid's at 3pm and excitedly order it and Debra, the very friendly waitress, told me that they didn't have that on the menu until 4 but that she would check with the chef if they could possibly serve it early. I practically begged her to please let them know that I was pregnant and basically going to lose my mind if I couldn't have turkey right then. Well, she came out with the MOST BEAUTIFUL plate of roasted turkey and I damn near cried. Later, the chef, Bruno, also came to check up on me and ask if the turkey made the baby happy. :D The service was so remarkable and it was so considerate of them to do that for a customer. The food was delicious, the mashed potatoes went perfectly with the turkey and gravy--and the portion was really filling. I 100% recommend this place! read more
