This is a company to do business with if you need any concrete resurfacing done. This was the second home we had concrete renewal done by SCR. They did the job a year ago, and unfortunately we were not 100% pleased with the outcome (part of the problem being a communication breakdown on our part). To abbreviate the story, we had them back out a couple months ago to discuss and look at the situation. They completely agreed and took accountability for their part. They are in the process of re-doing the work and 100% making it right. With respect to quality, I can't imagine that any other company does better work. Backyard patio/pool deck? They are treating this job like it is the interior focal point of our home. Attention to detail and perfect workmanship. One note - this is a time-consuming process. Called to schedule a quote for pool deck overlay and patio deck resurfacing. Rocco provide a date and time to come to take a look. he was a no show at the appointed time. no call. I called a week or so later. I spoke with Rocco again and said he missed the appointment. rescheduled appointment. The young men who did the work for us were fabulous. They showed up on time, let us know what they were doing and always made sure that they were completing the project the way that we wanted it. Weeks later, using a different material the team completed our deck and patio. Again, they were careful, prompt and wanted to be sure that we were on board with what they were doing and that it was exactly what we wanted. Both the courtyard and the patio look great. My issue is that the company does not take a credit card, nor do they tell you ahead that they do not take credit cards. We were very surprised when the first project was completed and we had to pay by check. I then read the contract very carefully and realized it is not stated that credit cards will not be accepted. I had a conversation with the sales rep and he said that is just the way the company operates. So, we had to come up with over $8000 in our checking account. No alternative was offered. It is not an upfront way to do business. Just we wise about how you will pay for the project. read more

We had Sierra Concrete do an overlay after we resurfaced our pool and added new concrete. They did an amazing job. You can't tell where the old, pitted concrete stops and the new concrete starts. They were also very careful not to get any of the material in our pool or in our house. They were professional and communicative. We used Sierra Concrete to rejuvenate our aging pool / patio area. We got a couple of different bids, but I got a very good feeling from Rocco, the day I met him. They stayed in touch with me up until the day of the project, arrived on time and set to work straight away. I can't say enough about Hector, he was incredibly polite and professional, took time to really explain all the steps he was going to take, help us make good informed decisions on colors etc. Hector even took some tome to help me on a completely unrelated part of his project to give me some advice on staining and sealing another area of our garden. I am very happy with the end result and will, without a doubt would recommend Sierra to anyone looking to get concrete work done. We had our stamped concrete re-stained after eleven years of being bleached out by the Brentwood sun. Rocco reviewed the project and explained the process, gave us a bid and Hector called with a start date. The crew arrived on time and I cannot say enough about their knowledge, patience and courtesy. They worked tirelessly from Monday to Friday to make sure the staining system and colors were to our satisfaction. In fact a small sample of color to complete the borders was not what we had in mind and Rocco drove down the next day from Sacramento area to deliver the better color for us. Erik, Edgar & Freddie never stopped doing and re-doing until the most beautiful front area, front porch, backyard area and side pathway were to our satisfaction. Their work exceeded our expectations, the trowel finish is very neat and consistent. The crew showed up as expected and continued on the job daily until completion, about 5 days total. Not happy with the customer service. Spoke with Rocco regarding an overlay of our patio and wanted an estimate, Rocco gave us two different times and on one called to say he could not get away and made another appointment for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. He never showed and we received no phone call. We were contacted by Rocco a day later who apologized and took responsibility for what he considered a miscommunication in the actual date, thinking it was Thursday 21st. We selected this company first of all because of all the outstanding reviews and are very disappointed over the whole misunderstanding. read more

They have very poor customer service. I had Rocco come to give me an estimate and everything was scheduled. He called that morning to ask me to meet early. Unfortunately, like most people I was at work. However I gave him permission to go in the back yard and check it out. He said fine and that he would leave me an estimate and some brochures about their work. Two weeks later, 4 calls and 3 texts and still no response from him. He was told me three separate times "I'll get back to you" but never sent any type of estimate. They may do good work, but they do not follow through. read more

I called three different contractors, to resurface my pool deck, only Rocco came out. He was right on time and very polite. We scheduled the work to be done after we came back from our vacation. The guys were fantastic. They were very polite and took their time seething things up. I only spoke with Hector once and it was a very pleasant conversation. The two guys that were sent out were neat, clean and very polite. They explained the whole process and even though it was very hot, not once complained. They completed the job in 4 days. I hired Sierra Concrete Resurfacing to change my existing patio and pool deck. Rocco was professional, engaging and came to my house the day after I emailed him for an estimate. When Eric and Pepe arrived to do the job, they were friendly, answered all my questions, even offering color choice suggestions. They kept me informed of what the timetable and job process entailed. They even hunted down a new piece of deck joint to fill a gap when I couldn't find it anywhere. When it was finished, they left my backyard completely clean and hauled away all the trash. Had the company bid my patio job. They showed up on time and did a thorough job determining the cost.After that the wheels came off. No formal bid was sent however a number of excuses were rendered. Computer problems, miscommunication, and promises that it would come the next day never materialized. After four or five requests i moved on for fear the unreliability was not worth the risk. My suggestion to Jose who seems like a nice person is to work on improving communication and attention to detail. Failure to follow up with perspective clients is a recipe for failure. For the last 10 years I have hated our colored concrete. It was never the color it was supposed to be and it was inconsistent. We had the Sun Deck installed and it is gorgeous. We hired them to resurface approx. 850 sq. feet of concrete in our backyard that had been refinished 18 years ago with an epoxy/sand coating that was a nightmare! He steered us away from products that would make them more money, knowing the results would not meet our level of satisfaction. After a few days with no response I called back, the receptionist looked up my information and confirmed that I had called and my information was correct , she told me she would contact Jose and she gave me his cell phone number and said I should call him. We had our pool deck redone by Sierra Concrete in April of 2015. It was originally built and surfaced in 1982 by the original owners and was very worn and ugly (some called it the "Brady Bunch deck" due to it's pink sparkles!). The sales rep, Rocco Radogna , was very easy to work with and the crew that did the resurfacing, headed up by Hector, was very friendly, knew their "stuff", cleaned up the area after each day's work and such a pleasure to have around. When a "hiccup" developed, Sierra's owner, Dave Walter, stepped up and took care of it. I hadn't written a review until now for 2 reasons: just got too busy, and I also wanted to wait a bit to be sure the deck stood the test of time. Its been over two years now and it still looks great. We recently had our pool deck resurfaced by Sierra Concrete Resurfacing. We had three bids. They weren't the cheapest, but we learned the hard way that the least expensive doesn't always save you money. We were covering approximately 1,200 sq feet of stamped concrete. We had put enough bandaids on it over the years and it was time to resurface. We found a deck finish and a pool coping we liked and showed Rocco and he said--"no problem." The deck and coping look better today than it did when it was first laid ten years ago. I got the coping I had always wanted and it is the highlight of the pool. Rocco worked on it himself to get it to look like the picture I had selected when we signed the contract. It looks awesome. And it actually looks like hand-laid stone work with different colors, with nooks and crannies like real rock. The other stand out is their 2 year warranty for residential jobs. Most concrete problems happen within the first year, after a few seasons of weather--but not all. Having that extra cushion helped us decide that Sierra Concrete was the right contractor for our pool deck. We couldn't be happier. It looks like it should have when we first built the pool. At least we were able to redo it and make it look like this because you don't always get a chance for a do-over! Fortunately, technology is available to resurface any type of concrete and make it look brand new without having to do a complete tear-out. I'm pretty sure we would have just lived with it if that were the case. This is such a better option and we are so glad we finally decided to take the leap. It's not cheap to resurface concrete, but we are so glad we decided to spend the money because it looks better than we could have ever imagined. I doubt we'll ever have to think about it again. Our first meeting with Rocco went very well, we felt very comfortable with him. He explained everything that could be done and what they could do. When our project began , the work crew was on time, professional and easy to talk too. The project took 3 days and the crew would always tell us of the time they would arrive the next day and what was going to be done that day. We even had six stepping stones we wanted covered in the product and they said sure, no problem. After the project was done they did an excellent job cleaning up.
